Avengers

I saw it!! I saw the film (a few weeks ago), but never did I imagine I'd dig it this much. w00t! I have no other journal where I can go all fanish like this, forgive my silliness.

Not only did I love the comic relief, but Captain America!!! asdkjflkfj!!!
He's begging to be slashed, or what?

Those edible muscles... And yet so innocent to the point of naiveness. It stirs the M side of me *g* And makes me want to rip his clothes off of him <s>and make him cry in pleasure.</s>

*cogh*

Sorry, it's been a while since I saw something slashable my mind kinda went nutters :9

I wanna draw... Yeah, just like that. Out of the blue. Captain America is going in circles in my mind...

On the other hand, I think to myself, what am I thinking? I can't draw a muscle, even if my life depended on it *meep* Androginy is my specialty. But whatever. I don't think I can reactivate my tablet... So old style with paper and pencil, if at all. But, no promises. I have so many commitments, it's driving me crazy *ack*

Every now and then I get posts on one of my old H/D fest submissions. It makes me so nostalgic ;_; Is HP fandom still active?? Does anyone know? Does anyone still see my blog, would be the right question at this point, heh.

And I see LJ has changed the interface quite a bit. And then I saw several fiends' journals scratched out or haven't posted in months/years! WAH! That is soooo sad T_T I truly hope they are doing great and wish them all the best wherever they are. They will be missed.

For everyone else who happens across this entry, I missed you! I hope you're doing great and all my best wishes to you <3333

Free BL comics and novels give-away!!

Hi, everyone! Happy 2012!

Hope you guys had a great head start of this new Year!

I’ve had a good year end BL-wise as my BL collection has been increasing slowly, which I’ve been sharing in forums *wink wink* (For those who don't know, BL stands for Boy's Love which means Slash in Japanese terminology :P)

But on the other hand, I have to make room for the new ones and get rid of my old ones. They are old BL novels and comics that I was planning to throw away, but if these books can still find a new home, how better than to end up in the garbage bin, yeah?

So, this is a free give-away. I won’t ask a dime for the books as they were destined for the dust bin, just the shipping fee (via Redpack with tracking number and all) to your country.

The only mean of payment I can accept is by Paypal. Sorry for the inconvenience >_<

PM me with your titles of interest, the country you live in along with your paypal mail addy.

I will return your PM with the shipping fee according to the weight and destination.

Most of the novels have the original paper wraps from the bookstores as well as the bookmarks.

Second Love Vol.1 & Vol.2 complete by Yuu Asagiri (Comic)

Bar Paradise he Youkoso by Kou Akiduki (Novel) & Midori Tokuda (Illust)

Club M by Naoko Saiki (Novel & Illust)

Zeus no Koibito –Yukinojou Series 1– by Yuu Asagiri (Novel & Illust) I have 2 of these

Shiva no Kokuin –Yukinojou Series 2– by Yuu asagiri (Novel & Illust) I have 2 of these

Secret Garden by Yuu Asagiri (Novel & Illust)

Funky Monkey Gang S –Fujimi Nichome Symphony Orchestra Series– by Kou Akiduki (Novel) & Keiko Nishi (Illust)

Sunset Sunrise –Fujimi Nichome Symphony Orchestra Series– by Kou Akiduki (Novel) & Keiko Nishi (Illust)

Hopefully, they all find a new home *g*

If you want to know more about the novels, synopsis and such, feel free to comment here or PM me.

Cheers~!

Hi, everyone! I hope you guys have been doing better than ever! What's new?

Gosh, I've definitely been missing LJ! Feels like home :D

Here's some of my recent news. I have set up a new personal goal. It's a wee project that I'd like to discuss with you guys, so feel free to drop your comments about it.

My passion for M/M slash and all things yaoi is still going strong. Lately, I've been reading Yaoi novels like there's no tomorrow. And I've found some exceptional gems that really need to be shared with the rest of the world. So I want to fuse my RL with my hobby and start translating them into English.

Now that I've found the first novel I want to tackle, I've looked for some English speaking publishers and found some.

But now I don't know which way to go, like the eternal dilemma of which came first, the chicken or the egg?

I've contacted the Japanese publisher asking for translation permission which hopefully would get a reply from sooner or later. *crosses fingers*

But what next? Should I offer my service to the publishers or finish up the translation first and send it to the publishers and see which one would be interested? Or is it common for them to have established trasnlation agreements or some such?

I’m not quite sure how this works. *hmm* Does any of you have any theory? *hehe*

I just started the translation, so there’s a long road ahead of me (it gets interrupted by my RL, too), but so far so good. I’m enjoying it and hopefully I can find a way to fulfill my personal goal.

A second member of X-Japan passed away today.
It's Taiji, the basist and original member of X and X-Japan.
Hide was the first to kill himself shortly after X-Japan dissolved back in the 90's.
After 18 years, Yoshiki, Taiji and the remaining members reunited and are in the midst of a world tour.
Actually, they were to come in my country by September, but what's going to happen now, I wonder??

Either way, Rest in Peace by Hide's side, Taiji.

Help the Japanese people! What we can do right now

I've been contacting my friends from Japan. I've offered sending daily necessities to them, but not a lot of my friends were directly affected, so instead they told me they could use cheerful news in this dark and gloomy hour.

Everyone in Japan, not just the vicitims of the Earthquake & Tsunami, is affected somehow or another, especially now with the latent threat of meltdown at the Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant. I can only imagine their worry and stress level.

They need emotional support from us more than ever.

So I ask a grain of help from my F-list to drop a supportive comment or two in this entry to the victims or to the Japanese people in general who are going through their worst crisis since WWII.

I've set out on a mission to translate every good wish and repost them at my Japanese blog at Ambeblo.

And if you feel inclined, please spread the word about this so that our voices of support can be heard to Japan and let them know that they are not alone in this.

Let me hear you!

Updates:
Mar. 17, 1st blog post is up

Most of you might already know this site, but for those who don't, please read the messages in the link below. Reading them made me cry, but also made me proud to be Japanese. Japan is not alone in this and together we will reconstruct the country. However small, however far away, I won't give up in aiding in whatever I can.

http://prayforjapan.jp/tweet_en.html

#prayforjapan

One message that struck me hard was from an operator working hard at the Fukushima nuclear plant...

It read "Even if we die, we won't let a meltdown happen".

Programmed blackouts affecting Japanese economy -NHK Latest News-

It's been reported a M6 Earthquake in Shizuoka Pref. There is no worry about Tsunami this time and hasn't been any damages.

Today's the second day since Tokyo Electrics has announced programmed blackouts and the Japanese economy is starting to be affected.

Trains are either being suspended or limited, gasoline sale is being limited to $2,000 yens per car, people can hardly lead their normal life even buying food is mostly limited to packed or canned food because of the blackouts, going to work or school is becoming very hard.

Many large companies are asking their employees to stay at their home.

Being deprived of electricity is seriously affecting people's lives as well as the economy. But Tokyo Electrics estimates that the programmed blackouts might last for a month.

It's quite distrubing

I've tried to follow up closely on any piece of news concerning Japan's latest quake, that's where my roots are and it concerns me a lot. My relatives and friends are all safe so far, yet there are so many people suffering over it and I feel their agony so much. Mexico is also prone to quakes and every 20 years or so, there's a huge one that affects the capital. The last one was in 1985 and by 2005 a quake should've striken the city, yet it didn't. So it may very well be the next quake victim.

But it's distrubing. It's disturbing because the information that Tokyo Electrics is providing is not precise plus, they keep changing by the minute so it's causing more confusion and chaos, and as for the nuclear plants, I'm not sure if the official information is truly real... I just have a feeling that they are hiding someting.

I'm hoping that after this event, Tokyo Electric closes down all its nuclear power plants and use alternate energy resources. This nuclear threat is like reliving the nightmare of WWII. No more nukes! I hope to God that this threat doesn't become another Chernobyl disaster.

On the other hand, aftershocks of the quake haven't ceased yet, Tsunami's are still a latent threat, so the quake relief and aid haven't advanced as much as I hoped.

I belatedly realised about the Help Japan project on LJ so I didn't get to sign up for it, but as soon as the Japanese Embassy in Mexico issues any means of donation, I'd like to do it. Why the hell the President of Mexico announces nothing is beyond me, tho'. /irked

I ask all the people who happen to see this post, please donate any amount of aid possible to your local Japan's Earthquake Relief Options.

Thank you in advance.

Two nuclear plants in Fukushima prefecture were affected by the Quake and the cooling system is not working properly because of the tsunami and Tokyo Electris (who owns the plants) is working hard on restoration, but none of the methods have been effective and there's no promise as to when it'll be completely restored.

Because several plants of Tokyo Electric were in the affected northeast region of Honshu Island, nine prefectures, including a few areas in Tokyo, will have progammed blackouts since Monday, 14th beginning from 6:00 am to 10:00pm.

The water suplly is cut off in more than 5 prefectures confirmed, but it is estimated that there will be more affected regions.

Confirmed death toll from the Japan Quake is more than 1,500, however in just one prefecture (Miyagi pref.) they are estimating that it'll be more than 10,000. There are 2 other prefectures (Fukushima and Iwate) which were the three hardest hit by the quake have thousands of missing people who haven't been confirmed their whereabouts.

In most of the cities, not just the directly affected, there will be power and food/water shortages, and unstable phone lines in general.

Maou -The Devil-

Hello, all! How are you all doing? Hope you guys are doing great in fandom as well as RL ^_^v

Been ages, hasn't it?

I come with a rec for all of you to relish, if you haven't already seen it. Especially for those who are keen on Japanese Dramas :D

It's called "Maou", means the Devil in English, with Toma Ikuta and Satoshi Oono from Arashi (the most popular J-pop boy band in Japan as of now) as the two main characters. It's very intense, highly emotional, very plotty and super interesting plot twists that truly bring to justice the word Drama.

As far as the story goes, I don't want to spoil it for those who haven't seen it yet, so I will refrain from saying much, except to say it's exquisitely Shakespearean, was aired on 2008 with 11 episodes total, and is a remake of a Korean Drama.

This was the first time Satoshi Oono got a main role in a Drama, but his acting seriously exceeded any expectations, especially in episode 7. I dare you NOT to cry *tee hee* He won several awards for this role, by the way.

Oono-kun is the leader of the band he is part of, Arashi, but he's mostly always quiet and introverted although he is the oldest and most experienced among the members. So this Drama really made me see him under a different light. He should get more roles like this!!! *craves*

Another thing that I liked about this Drama was the OST. Brilliant. It went so well with the plot-intensive story, very dramatic and heart-wrenching. Squeezes your heart just like that.

And oh, the slashy factor. I honestly didn't watch it from that angle this time, but it's exquisite to find the subtle undertones and imagine a possibility of an AU.

Without much ado, here's a sneak preview and under the it, the link where you can watch the whole drama behind the cut.

<lj-embed id="37" />

So here's the link to see the whole drama with English fansubs. The subs are pretty faithful to the original. Please, keep this link quiet and safe ;)

http://www.dramacrazy.net/japanese-drama/maou-episode-list/

Things you didn't know about Japan

Hello all! It's been ages, eh?

Just a little update of my RL. I'm going to start a part-time job as a Japanese teacher next week. And for starters, I'm going to hand out this questionnaire just so my students learn a little more facts about Japan.

Try them yourself and see how many you've got right ;)

It's TRUE or FALSE questions. No cheating! *tee hee* Answers under the cut.

General facts
1) Life expectancy for Japanese women is 86 years and 79 years for men.
2) Japanese people have the best eye sight in the world with only 4% of its population using glasses or contact lenses.
3) Before Japan was known with its current name, it used to be called Waguni.
4) The family crest of the emperor of Japan is a rising sun.
5) The current Constitution of Japan declares the abandonment of wars as a consequence of the two atomic bombs and has no military army.

Geography and demography
6) Two out of every 100 people are Japanese.
7) In Tokyo, 11 people live in an area of 180 m2 (about 200 square yards).
8) Japan consists of 50 prefectures.
9) Japan is formed by 6,852 islands.
10) With an area of 378 thousand km2, Japan is the size of the state of California.

Culture
11) Japan has produced thirteen Nobel laureates in either physics, chemistry or medicine.
12) Japan has the highest suicide rate among the developed nations with an average of 90 suicides daily.
13) Kabuki, sadou, origami, and shaolin are some of the cultural practices that have distinctly developed in Japan.
14) In spite of practicing traditional rites based on Shintoism and Buddhism, the majority of Japanese people don't consider themselves as religious.
15) 96% of Junior High graduates go to High School in Japan.

Food
16) Despite having drinkable tap water, Japan imports 1.16 billion 500 ml PET bottles every year from around the world.
17) Japanese people consume around half of the world's total Tuna fish caught every year.
18) 23 billion disposable pairs of chopsticks are used in Japan every year.
19) The amount of food produced in Japan is only around 20%.
20) 23.2 million tons of food go to waste.

General facts
1) TRUE. It's the longest life expectancy in the world.
2) FALSE. Actually, they have the worst eye sight with 40% of its people using glasses or contact lenses.
3) FALSE. It was known as Wakoku.
4) FALSE. It's a chrysanthemum flower and is used on the cover of Japanese passports in stead of the Government crest. Strange, eh?
5) TRUE. Japan only has Self-Defense Forces, which is not quite the same as military army :P

Geography and demography
6) TRUE. The world population is around 6.8 billion while the Japanese population is a little less than 130 million people, which doing the math gives you that answer.
7) FALSE. While in the US, there's one preson per every 180m2 of livign space, in Tokyo, there are 192 people crammed in the same space.
8) FALSE. It's got 47 prefectures.
9) TRUE. It's a fact very few Japanese people know.
10) TRUE.

Culture
11) TRUE.
12) TRUE. Unfortunately, that is true. It is reported around 35 thousand cases of suicide yearly, that means one person every 16 min. takes their life.
13) FALSE. Kabuki, sadou, origami are certainly Japanese cultural practices, however, shaolin is not. It's Kung-fu, which is Chinese. Just for the record, Sadou is the tea ceremony and origami is paper folding.
14) TRUE. Unless they belong to a specific religion or cult, most of the Japanese people don't consider themselves as religious.
15) TRUE.

Food
16) TRUE.
17) FALSE. But they do consume 1/3 of the world's total Tuna fish caught every year. ;)
18) TRUE. That's 200 pairs of chopsticks per person disposed every year. And sadly because of that, Chinese natural forrest resources are used to make 90% of the chopsticks Japan imports every year.
19) FALSE. Close call, though! Japan can only provide 40% of its own food.
20) TRUE. How sad it is that Japan has to import 60% of its food and yet so much of it ends up as waste...

For the record, I took some of the facts from this information graphic. This was, however, made for Japanese audiences to raise awareness, so some of the facts depicted here may seem stereotypical and ridiculous, but I personally take it more as a self-criticism to our nation and it should be our reminder.

<lj-embed id="35" />

Still around

Hi~!

It's been ages since I last posted unlocked o_O
Gosh, I missed making letter faces :P

As you can guess, I've been dedicating myself to RL the last months of my life. Can't say that my life has been uneventful or boring so far.

Lots of things have happened.
Sad things, good things, not so good things, happy things...

MDH and I are still going to counseling　every now and then.
And there's one thing that I realised amidst the introspection and all.

My urge to draw has dissipated　completely.
Probably because the attention I was craving so badly is now being fulfilled by the one I wanted it most to begin with. Which I find brilliant, like an addict coming out of rehab, all cleaned up! *g*

As far as relationship, I think we've never been better.
Still have insecurity and trust issues that need to be worked on semi-permanently, but we're doing great.

As far as fandom, as I mentioned above my urge to draw has dwindled.
I won't be of much use like this in HP, or in any other fandom for that matter. Plus, MDH reformatted our PC's Hard Drive for the unpteeth time and with it, all my HP stuff was gone.
I swore I had them all backed up in the external Hard Drive, but no. The only thing I now have is the back up DVD of a year ago. All my recent work is now vanished... T_T
That was like a cold shower on a hot body :S

But I guess tastes shift and I'm in the middle of it.
In fact, I started a new blog where Miyavi used to have his Japanese blog @ Ameblo.
It's Japanese only and RL based. I write about my day to day life and such so I guess it won't be of much interest to most if not all of you.

Anyhow, I'm not here to bore you with my RL ups and downs. Just letting you know that I'm still alive and kicking only in another blog and in another stage of my life ;)

It was a challenge to put it all together from plot to illustration. This is the first time I wrote a script from scratch and actually finished it XD And it's got mystery to solve! Unfortunately, the technical bit was major fail as it was done in a rush and didn't come out as nearly as I wanted it to be. *headdesk* And I'm seriously considering a re-make in a book style. And maybe, someday, a sequel...?
There's got to be more detective stories in HP fandom!
Computer is back! *twice as strong*

Some days ago now, our computer got back up. Reinstalled everything. And it's now virus-free and wonky-free, hooray!

I bought an external Hard Drive that has 1tera (homg, that's 1000GB!!) of space as backup disk. Now I don't have to burn DVD's after DVD's to back up my humongous collection of Yaoi manga and novels, oh, and music, of course! XD And that included a 6-month license for an anti-virus software. So for a while our computer is safe. :D

Only, my in-laws were visiting for the first time since we moved until yesterday. Plus hubby took a two-week holiday from work which is still half way through, which admittedly means that I cannot do anything pr0ny. Damn.

I'm bored of watching sport channels every single day, all day long. Curse ye, football season!

There's been good things, too. There was a Halloween Night Sale, an off-season sale, of the entire shoe shopping centre. And got two pairs of shoes *squee* One pair of pumps for casual use and another one is a pair of short boots kind of pumps? Will get a photo of that, it's hard to explain XD

Now I want to get a haircut and possibly colour my hair... Or do something, whatever! I have pretty wavy hair so having long hair keeps the unruly waves in place, but it's been like this for years. I could use some colour. Or, anything really. Want to get out of the same ol' look X_x Any suggestions?

I just read this superb fic that left me totally dazed in a good way.

Title: Adrenaline Chasers
Author: marguerite_26
Rating: NC-17
Pairings: Scorpius/Al (established), Draco/Scorpius/Al
Summary: Al and Scorpius take their dares to the next level.
BIG HONKING WARNINGS: incest, non-con, bondage, toys, tattoos, coercion

Rec: It's a one shot but very intense. Probably not for the faint of heart for the non-con bit, but still, I thought it was skilfully written and there was no outright violence involved that made it gore-ish or disgusting. On the contrary, despite everything she pulled it off sensually and managed to make it so... hot.
I loved how Draco was portrayed in this fic, his soured relationship with Scorpius and his firmness towards his decision. It was nice to see a resolute Draco for a change.

And thus this fic left me craving MORE of this threesome pairing.
Could someone point me to fics with this pairing, please? I don't even know where to look for them...

Baby pup!!

Gosh I'm so spammy today, but I'm so psyched *flails* I couldn't help it.

My doggie is a father now! A proud dad of eleven pups! Eight chocolate and three white uber cute Labrador pups!! *points icon* I can't believe how fast time flies. Two years ago, my own doggie was as cute a pup as the icon, but hidden beneath that lovely face, there was a real devil in disguise. He trashed my 6th HP book that was neatly placed to exhibit on the bookshelves when he was just 5 months old. Looking back, those are fond memories now XD

At any rate, there is a cute, little story surrounding my doggie.

I had always thought I named him wrongly, cos his dark hair, er, fur and olive-green (now, they are more amber-ish) eyes reminded me of Harry Potter XD At least, his actual name, Shuri, rhymes with Harry :B

This became more of a belief when his first encounter with another puppy was a white Labrador pup named Draco! How effing awesome is that?

But there's more. The mother of his puppies is named... Luna!! <s>Thank God it wasn't Ginny :P</s>

Such cute coincidences with HP characters XD

And tomorrow we're going to fetch the puppy till we find a home for him. We picked the sweetest and friendliest white pup. Awwww, wish we could keep him, but we don't have enough space to keep such large dogs indoors. We don't have a garden, so...

I soooo want to name him Draco, but that's already taken plus MDH fervently opposed, so now I'm more inclined to name him Lorcan (temporarily while he stays with us). *g* What d'you think??

Shuri asleep ♥

Shuri awake *lol*

Shuri (laying on the floor) and Luna.
PRAWN Drawbles!!

I'm feeling like drawing an obscenely erotic Draco Malfoy. It's been a while since I drew something blatantly NC-17 and I miss it *hee*

There's this image that I'm obsessing over and that's embarrassed!Draco, so embarrased that he's so aroused and aching. I just couldn't stop wondering what sorts of sexual/kinky acts would embarrass him the most. And I want to know what you guys can come up with. *g*

By embarrassed I mean that as a Malfoy, Draco probably must have standards, morale, and codes to uphold, not to mention lots of taboos. I'm talking about the moment everything he stands for as a Malfoy, his pride and haughtiness are wiped off by the bodily pleasures. When his brain is screaming wrong, wrong, wrong...! while his body is a step away from coming undone from the ecstasy so intense.

Yeah, I'm referring to that moment when things he cannot admit to are happening against his will and is about to burst out.

Given the premise, the first 10 people who leave a comment with the following information will get a smut drawble <333

1. What sexual/kinky situation would embarrass Draco?: (Only one situation. You can be as descriptive as you like or just one word prompt is okay, too. Keep away from painful/torturous kinks, unless Draco's enjoying it, too *wink*)
2. Three possible partners for Draco: (Keep in mind that Draco is going to bottom and it's got to be m/m slash, I get to pick from this list.)
3. Any squicks? (Do let me know if you have squicks. I'm known to do chan, incest, tentacle!porn, and such. I don't want to step on squicks unknowingly.)

As they are going to be NC-17, they will be posted on my Dreamwidth account, unlocked, mind. I decided not to worry over banning because of mature content. Heed the warnings before clicking. Just, I don't want to know if you're not of age. I want to believe that parents know what you're doing.

[ETA] All comments are screened!

Crash and burn

My computer's anti-virus renovation due date passed for a few weeks now. Before that, I was absent for about 3 weeks from home between a visit to my mum's place for my grandma's 49th Day Memorial and a business trip, I came back to find my computer infected by Trojan viruses and was doing funny things it normally wouldn't do. It wasn't as virulent as it could've been, like popping up windows or shutting them like a nut, but this is the second time it got infected in a year. Besides, without and updated anti-virus, the only other way to get rid of them was to reinstall the whole Windows system. That was a week ago.

Unfortunately, I haven't had enough money to pay for the anti-virus renovation since then. So after that, my computer has been vulnerable and for obvious reasons, downloads were kept at bay, but what we have overlooked was that there were backed up music files that were infected (and weren't erased at the time of the Windows re-installation) and it's doing weird things. Again! It hasn't passed a week since the re-installation, for Christ sakes.

We installed a trial anti-virus and those were disinfected promptly. But we couldn't save Internet Explorer from crashing and Java Script for videos from getting corrupted. Now IE cannot be uninstalled, reinstalled, or even downloaded for that matter and we can't play any videos on-line. GAH.

We need an anti-virus urgently! x_X I hope I get my pay for the previous business trip soon. But otherwise, I will have to relay on... commissions for now. >_<

Once the anti-virus is updated, MDH will be reinstalling Windows for the third time. *sigh* The only good thing is that our Hard Drive is split into two and one has all the programmes installed and the other has our data, thus our files are kept untouched. It's just the fuss of reinstalling all the programmes and drivers and service packs again and again. =_=;;

And also... someone kick me. My resolution of not signing-up on fests were gone with the wind >_< *meep*

[ETA] I caved... I resisted for three days, but I caved. I signed up for hp_nextgen_fest. Err, I ought to apologise to the mods beforehand cos I'm going to be their bane of existence... x_X But oooh, so shiny pairings and prompts *_* A plot bunny is already running wild!

YAYE!

I'm done with the fests submissions.

This time I must confess that I was terrible with deadlines. No, really. It's a wonder they didn't kick me out for good after so many extension requests. *facepalm* I think I would've given the mods more relief by dropping out altogether, seriously. *headdesks*
(Tho' I did get kicked out and banned by one fest... >_< I'm truly sorry with the mods of said comm for failing so bad.)
After this, I'll remember to think twice before signing-up, that's for sure.

Anyhow, I'm sure many of you are already enjoying it but might I remind you to look forward to: hd_career_fair and bottom_draco!!

I'm not allowed to talk about my submissions, but let's just say, I am quite proud of what I did for both fests!

Now on to the next thing! Here I come, commishes!
