Productivity Power Tools
for Cabinet Makers
Stop rebuilding the same cabinets from scratch. MaxCut’s productivity tools let you reuse library items, mass-change components and print exactly the reports you need — so you can quote faster and build sooner.
Repetitive data entry kills your margins
Every minute spent re-creating the same base cabinet, manually copying panels, or clicking through report menus is a minute you’re not quoting, building, or getting paid. Small inefficiencies compound across dozens of jobs a year — and your competitors who work faster win more work. MaxCut’s productivity power tools eliminate the repetition so you can move from inquiry to invoice in record time.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Productivity Power Tools — Answered
What are library items and how do they save time?
Library items are pre-saved groups of components — panels, hardware, edging — stored under a single name. When you create a new job, you select the library items you need and MaxCut adds all associated components automatically. This eliminates repetitive data entry and ensures consistency across quotes. Community Edition allows up to 5 library items per job; Business Edition is unlimited.
What can I change with Mass Changes?
Mass Changes lets you update multiple panels, edgings or hardware at once. You can change panel materials, names, notes, edging, expansion values (for tension-free cuts), holes and grooving, rotation settings, sizes, and quantities. Select the components you want to update, choose the new value, and apply — layouts and costings update automatically.
Can I save different report combinations for different recipients?
Yes — with Business Edition, you can save and load batch report combinations. Create one preset for your shop floor (cutting diagrams, job summary) and another for your customer (quote, invoice). Load the preset and print with a single click, rather than adjusting quantities manually each time.
Do mass changes work on library items after they're added to a job?
Yes. Once you add library items to a job, they become regular input items that you can modify freely. Mass Changes applies to any selected items in your job, regardless of whether they came from a library item or were entered manually.
