Valtti Plus Color is a water-based, semi-transparent exterior wood stain developed for the protection and finishing of timber surfaces. The product is designed to protect wood against UV radiation and moisture while allowing the natural grain structure to remain visible. The coating forms a vapour-permeable layer and penetrates into the wood, helping to reduce flaking and slow down fungal growth under varying weather conditions.

The stain has an average coverage of approximately 8–12 m² per litre on smooth surfaces and 4–8 m² per litre on rough surfaces. Its thermal and environmental performance includes a biobased content of 17%, with 73% of the organic carbon replaced by renewable raw materials, according to ASTM D6866-18. The product is suitable for use on exterior timber façades, log constructions, cladding and other wooden elements where a natural appearance is required.

Application requires dry timber with a moisture content below 20%, and ambient conditions above +5°C with relative humidity below 80%. Untreated wood should be primed prior to staining, and maintenance intervals depend on exposure conditions and climatic factors. The product is not recommended for timber species with a high tannin content, such as oak or certain tropical hardwoods.
