Eldham is one of the finest writers on Substack. Her work is reflective and looks deeply at beliefs and value systems that shape our roles in the world. Her poetry has the same compelling authenticity.
CJ is a very fine writer whose work offers insights into the true meaning of life, and how to transcend the ego in our search for what is meaningful and worth keeping.
Tudi consistently writes poems that are meaningful and well crafted in a traditional manner.
C.J. is a true marvel, always full of knowledge and wisdom, and a great zest for everything she touches. She never fails to make a good day even better!
The world is always in need of a little wisdom, and this publication has plenty of it.
I have known Megan for only a very short while, but I can tell already that she is a very special person who possesses the ability to perceive the nature of truth, and the true purpose of life, in a world that is increasingly losing its way.
I am recommending Poetic Outlaws because they were quoting poems by Pablo Neruda, and Neruda, in my opinion, is right there at the top of the poetic tree - no matter who else comes along. To read him is to be almost dazzled by the sheer wonder of language itself!
David Kirkby is an absolutely wonderful poet from down under, whose work is not only vibrant and alive, but also very well crafted.
Tommy is a very skilled writer whose words can make even the most trivial events seem meaningful and profound - as indeed they probably are in the eye of the right beholder. Tommy adds life to life. It's a great gift.
Michael is one of the best living poets, if not the best. His poems are truly meaningful and exquisitely well-crafted. He is also, without doubt, the finest translator of poems into English, and his translations of Sappho, Rilke, Baudelaire, Neruda, Dante etc. have set the standard for all others to aspire to.
Rolando is one of the best poets writing on substack. His work is imbued with an innate sense of something mysterious within us and beyond us, at the same time. I foresee that he will create some truly memorable, life-enriching poems, now that he has hit his stride.
This is an absolutely great site, with great recordings and readings of some of the best songs ever written.
Jed Moffitt's website, The Ordinary Mind, is far from ordinary because if offers, in well-crafted verse, profound insights into the common experiences of everyday life.
Johnny Duncan is a bit of a musical genius and his audio versions can add greatly to a poet's work, especially if the work is already musical and lends itself well to that extra touch.
The poetry world is very fortunate to have a new high class poetry journal called The New Stylus. Its editor, Shannon Winestone, is a gifted poet in her own right, and will, no doubt, be spoken of someday in the same breath as Christina Rossetti, Sylvia Plath and Emily Dickinson.
