We are pleased to welcome Johan Andersson, who joined Malwa Forest as our new Aftermarket Manager in mid-March this year. The role includes responsibility for our aftermarket operations, with a focus on service, support, spare parts, and the continued development of our service dealer network.

Johan has worked with service and aftermarket throughout his entire career. He began as a vehicle technician and has since held several leadership roles, including Service Manager at Porsche Väst, where he was responsible for three facilities. Most recently, he comes from a company that develops and manufactures bakery equipment, where he was in charge of the aftermarket business with a focus on support, service, and spare parts sales.

“Malwa is an exciting company that creates real value for end customers by delivering high-quality machines. In my role, I see great opportunities to work closely with both customers and internal departments to ensure continued development and strong customer value.”

In his role, Johan aims to further strengthen Malwa’s aftermarket operations, with a particular focus on functionality, availability, and proactive service. The goal is to ensure high operational reliability for customers by minimizing downtime and creating the conditions for fast and efficient support—both on-site and through Malwa’s service dealer network.

In his spare time, Johan enjoys tackling technical challenges in his own garage, while also making time for training in the forest and countryside as an important part of his everyday life.

Komatsu Forest has entered into an agreement to acquire Malwa Forest AB in Hyssna, Sweden. The transaction is expected to be completed by April 1, 2026, subject to customary closing conditions.

Malwa was founded in 2009 and develops and manufactures lightweight harvesters and forwarders designed for selective thinning and operations in sensitive terrain. Interest in this type of machine has grown as forestry continues to evolve, with increased focus on soil protection, climate impact and more sustainable working methods in the forest.

“Malwa has developed strongly in recent years, and we see a clear and growing demand for lightweight forestry machines. To continue that journey and reach new markets, this is a natural and important step for us. With Komatsu Forest we gain a strong industrial partner that provides long-term stability while creating new opportunities to further develop the Malwa concept and reach more customers around the world,” says Magnus Wallin, Founder and Head of Business Development at Malwa.

Komatsu Forest is a global manufacturer of forestry machines and part of Komatsu Ltd., an international group operating within construction, mining and forestry equipment.

For users in need of power, agility and precision, the Malwa 560 series has been a given for a long time. Over the years, we’ve listened carefully to those who truly know our machines. And the result? The Malwa 560 Generation 5 – built on experience, designed for the future.

We’ve kept everything that makes the 560 series such a reliable workhorse: the powerful 2.8-litre CAT engine, which is EU Stage 5 compliant, the hydrostatic transmission with true mechanical drive, separate pump systems for the transmission and the working hydraulics, and a track width of less than two metres.

Parallel to this, we’ve introduced well-considered improvements to enhance both productivity and operator comfort. The optimised hydraulic system delivers greater precision and efficiency, thereby improving performance and cutting fuel consumption. The transmission is now continuously variable, expanding the speed register of each gear, lowering engine speed and reducing noise levels. The new articulated joint lock, with ±27 degrees of movement, ensures superior stability. The load space on the 560F has been raised and made flexible for optimal weight distribution. The new cab offers a more spacious work environment with smarter instrument placement,
a wider floor and improved visibility.

Malwa Global Connect (MGC) gives you complete control over your machine’s operating status and remote diagnostics, thereby minimising downtime and maximising uptime.

Just like its predecessors, the Malwa 560 Gen 5 is designed to provide the user with the best possible conditions for efficient and qualitative forestry work – day after day, assignment after assignment.

Malwa Forest AB has appointed Koneanti Oy as its new distributor in Finland. The partnership marks a continued commitment to the Finnish market.

Koneanti Oy, founded in 2020, has established itself as a trusted machinery brokerage partner with a customer-first mindset and deep understanding of practical field needs. As Malwa’s new representative in Finland, Koneanti will manage machine sales, service and after-sales support.

“There is a clear demand for forestry machines of this size,” say Antti Mäkiniemi and Joni Rantanen from Koneanti Oy. “Malwa’s agility, low operating costs and ease of maintenance make it a very attractive option. Finnish forest owners also value solutions that protect the root systems and forest floor – and Malwa delivers exactly that.”

Strengthening presence with the right partner

Hans Lindberg, CEO of Malwa Forest, comments: “Finland is an important market for us, and we’re very pleased to take the next step together with Koneanti. Their entrepreneurial drive and focus on practical, down-to-earth service make them a perfect fit for the Malwa brand”.

With this new partnership, Malwa reaffirms its ambition to offer low impact thinning machinery across the Nordic region.
