MailboxManager Überblick
MailboxManager ist ein Dienstprogramm, um in einem Rutsch eine oder mehrere POP3-Postfächer (d.h. Postfächer, auf die Sie über E-Mail-Anwendungen wie Mail, Thunderbird, Eudora und ähnliche oder über einen Browser zugreifen) remote zu überprüfen und deren Nachrichten vollständig zu verwalten (prüfen, löschen, beantworten/weiterleiten/umleiten usw.), bevor Sie sie herunterladen.
- Postfach: Es ist möglich, die Liste aller Nachrichten oder eine Auswahl davon zu erhalten (z.B. die letzten fünf Nachrichten oder Nachrichten von 7 bis 11); und wenn Sie eine Kopie davon auf dem Server lassen, können Sie nur die letzten (neuen) abrufen.
- Nachrichten: Von jeder Nachricht können Sie den teilweisen oder vollständigen Inhalt anzeigen; und wenn nötig, kann die Nachricht beantwortet/umgeleitet/weitergeleitet werden. Auch die Anhänge können geprüft und auf die Festplatte heruntergeladen werden. Sollten Sie eine unerwünschte Nachricht finden, haben Sie die Möglichkeit, sie als SPAM zu markieren und zu löschen.
- Datenbanken: Die SPAM-Datenbank bietet Kriterien, um eingehende Nachrichten als SPAM zu kennzeichnen; während die Whitelist-Datenbank die Adressen freundlicher E-Mails enthält, die beim Überprüfen der E-Mails als solche markiert werden.
- Wenn Sie MailboxManager beenden, kann Ihre E-Mail-Anwendung automatisch gestartet werden, um die verbleibenden Nachrichten abzurufen (oder Ihr Browser kann automatisch eine Verbindung zu einer Website herstellen, die Mail OnLine unterstützt).
- Geplante E-Mail-Überprüfungen werden unterstützt.

OMG OMG OMG... I've *finally* found something to replace my beloved (now unsupported) POPmonitor, that I've been using in business for years and years now.
$7 bucks for this is great value.

I've been using POP Monitor for years and have discovered a few days ago that I could do the same and more using IMAP protocol using Apple Mail!!! :-D
To make a short story long: I first tried Thunderbird and then Opera's integrated mail feature that became my favourite, but then I had the illumination that Apple Mail could probably manage IMAP too... (I don't know why I haven't considered that option before! Maybe because I mainly use Entourage and I'm not fond of how it manages IMAP)
For something, Opera or Thunderbird offers better features (like a different checking time for any account), but when you pimp at the system Activity Monitor, they still pump power where Apple Mail remains at 0%!
So farewell POP! I now let Apple Mail check my ten accounts via IMAP every minute without any impact on system performance and when I want to download my mails for history purpose I launch Entourage.

Um, it's 2010 - it's time to utilize mail providers that leverage modern mail protocols.
If you are still using POP3 (either by choice or by mandate), perhaps you should hire a new IT consultant or investigate other providers.
Even google gives away mail accounts that support IMAP if you don't want to pay for something like MobileMe.

I dislike the current user interface of Mailbox Manager.
So, I decided to create anew more Apple-like user interface.
I couldn't find an emailaddress, only a form on the website.
Since I submitted that form, I haven't heard from you.

This is a great utility for managing POP3 mailboxes. In addition to producing a listing of all the items in a mailbox, it can also be setup to retrieve a set number of lines from the beginning each message so they can be easily reviewed while still on the server. In addition, individual or groups of messages can be marked for deletion without downloading them. The author is extremely responsive to requests and concerns and is actively improving and expanding the features and capabilities of the program. If you have a need to manage or troubleshoot one or more POP3 accounts then purchasing Mailbox Manager for $10 will be money well spent.
