Thank you so much for writing for me! I'm really, really pumped to read whatever you have in mind!

Firstly, please don't feel limited at all by what's in this letter. I've listed why I like these canons/characters/relationships and provided prompts just because I wish I can be at least a little helpful with providing some inspiration for you. If the prompts don't work for you but something else does, take it wherever you want it to go! If you have fun and are satisfied with the end-product, I assure you that is enough to make me happy. I adore all of these canons, so moar fic for one of them is already enough to give me some holiday cheer!

Every sort of relationship – romance, friendship, rivals, etc. I do have a super soft spot for a good familial relationship, especially if it's parent-child. Of course, the characters actually being related is secondary in importance.

Fate/stay night (Visual Novel)
Archer, Emiya Kiritsugu

Sign-up details: If you haven't played the VN, Fate/Zero + Fate/stay night UBW anime knowledge should be enough!

I'd love to read about them meeting. I'm not sure if I'd like it more if only Archer knew Kiritsugu, or if both of them knew each other's identity. I'm also not sure if I'd like it more if this Archer was post-UBW or not. I think the answer is that as long as you explore the parallels, regrets, guilt, pain, and love between these two, I will be happy with any take on their possible meeting. With one caveat: please keep this request gen.

I hope you just went "...oh" at this request because Archer and Kiritsugu's relationship is one of the most compelling, fascinating, and downright heartbreaking relationships in the Fate/verse. And woefully unexplored, to boot. Archer only mentions Kiritsugu once in the VN, but us readers know that this is the man he admired and loved so much he followed his ideals straight into hell. And all Kiritsugu wanted was for Archer was to live fully and happily and not meet the same end he had to. The parallels! The idealistic heroes betrayed and shattered by the world itself! I would say please break my heart, but I would also love some type of happy meeting between them, but then I realized that would be redundant because it'd break my heart regardless. I do ask that their relationship be kept strictly familial.

A few prompts:

Kiritsugu summons Archer. How does Archer react? How does Archer hide his identity from Kiritsugu, how does he act towards the father he adores, and how does he push Kiritsugu into possibly different actions to save his past-self (or, alternatively, to let his younger self die)?

Kiritsugu and Archer meet somewhere in the afterlife - maybe in Avalon? How does Kiritsugu figure out or not figure out Archer's identity? How does Kiritsugu react? (I'd say it's probably with crippling guilt.) How do they attempt to interact with each other when the last time they really were together, Archer was an innocent child? Does either of them feel like they failed the other? If in Avalon, maybe Irisviel and Illya are there as well! I'm very invested in the idea of Archer and Irisviel interacting - you know she'd love him, but she loves everyone.

Hajime no Ippo | Fighting Spirit
Miyata Ichirou

Sign-up details: I asked for MIyata alone because what I'd ask for most is for him to interact with almost any of the other boxers, and I couldn't pick which interactions I'd like the most! My favorite romantic ship for him is with Takamura (his little training camp with Takamura before Takamura's title match are some of my most reread chapters in the series!). I also really love him with Ippo, romantically or platonically, and how they mutually inspire each other like all good sports anime rival pairings.

The rest of the interactions I'd love, but with a more gen favor, please. His interactions with Sendo are absolutely hilarious, and I really like how their fighting styles are so different but not so diametically opposed as, say, Ippo and Miyata's. Miyata and Volg didn't interact in the series proper, but my most wanted spar would be between them, since they're both such technical, speedy, and absolutely terrifying to face boxers. Plus their personalities would be so cute to watch, because everything Volg does is adorable. Or what about Miyata and Sawamura, since the series makes a point of comparing their boxing styles so much, and they'd THROW DOWN.

I've read the manga up to chapter...1000 or so? I'm waiting for a good long break before I can read hundreds of chapters in a row, which seems to be the way to go with this series.

Miyata is one of my absolute favorite characters in this series, where I love everyone! I love the outboxer + counters + fragile fighting style he has, it makes for some really great tension in his matches. I love that he's a stubborn, hard-headed Determinator, and how much he wants to prove his fighting style, both for himself and for his father. I really like the series's treatment of his training and especially his issues with weight control. He's a distant person, but everytime he interacts with other boxers he's such gold?

A few prompts:

MORE TRAINING CAMPS. I love, love, love the chapters with his training camp with Takamura, and how much they care about each other, how Takamura knows exactly how to motivate Miyata, and how Miyata notices things Takamura tries so hard to hide. In general, I really like all the training camp chapters, they're always so funny, and they always reveal something about the characters. I want more with this flavor!

SPARS. I mean, in the series Ippo and Miyata would refuse to do this due to their promise, but what about with Sendo? Volg? Sawamura (in some AU where he didn't move up a weight class and retire?)

I'd like to see Miyata go...well, out of the Pacific area and to somewhere else? For training, or an exhibition match? In general, I think the series could stand to move out from Japan since all the main cast are world-class boxers at this point.

In general, I'd like to see less match-related stuff and more training-related stuff! Especially if they involve all the angst about weight control.

Tsukihime
Kohaku, Tohno Akiha

Sign-up details: I would really like post-canon fic. For the Near Side routes, Kohaku's (and by extension, Akiha's) fate is an unanswered burning question I have about the VN. SHIKI is gone, what now? I'm also interested in the answer for this in a post-Akiha's True End perspective, especially considering what happened to Shiki (please disregard the Kagetsu Tohya sidestory in this scenario). Post-Kohaku's True End, they have reached some understanding with each other, but there are years of things left unspoken between these two that they need to talk about; I would love to read this conversation. I do ship them, but as long their relationship is the main focus in the fic, I'm good!

I kind of wrote a ship manifesto on these two, so please feel free to peruse that. Also, don't feel obligated to have to write shipfic - their dynamic fascinates me regardless of romantic feelings or not. I love how obvious it is they really, truly care for each other, but I also love how painful being with each other is for them. I love how they lie to themselves and to each other about their relationship and how they feel about each other. I love how theoretically a very nice, long chat could have saved them both, but I also love how it would have been impossible for them because they both believed their relationship was broken to begin with. I also love, disregarding the sadness, how fucked up these two are, and how very little they care about themselves in comparison to others.

A few prompts:

Post-Kohaku's True End: they had to have had a very long, in-depth, emotional conversation about where they stand with each other after the events of Kohaku's route. It was probably really painful and difficult, but it was one they've needed to have for years. I'd love you to show me how it would have played out.

Post-Arcueid/Ciel's routes: What happened? Does Kohaku carry out her revenge? Kohaku's (and by extension, Akiha's) fate in the Near Side routes is the one burning question I have. Also, how does Hisui play a role here? I'm perfectly fine with unhappy endings, on that note - I wouldn't have requested these two if I wasn't prepared for tragedy.

Post-Akiha's True End: Again, what happens? Akiha lost the love of her life (I would prefer you disregard the Kagetsu Tohya sidestory here) and SHIKI is gone. What does Kohaku do now? Does she feel too bad to do anything to Akiha at this point? Does she make up excuses to prevent herself, or does she pull through? I'd also love to see what you do with Hisui in this scenario, as well!

I'd love porn for these two if you wanted to write that. Make it as vanilla or dirtybadwrong/kinky as you like - BDSM, bloodplay, knifeplay, torture - anything on the more violent side of kink except guro would be great!

Hell, if you wanted to write really darkfic, by all means go ahead. These two have the potential to be incredibly fucked-up, so I actually wouldn't bat an eye at brutal murder or torture, to be honest. No rape though, please.

Umineko no Naku Koro ni | When the Seagulls Cry
Ushiromiya Eva; Ushiromiya Ange

Sign-up details: I'm okay with pretty much any fic, honestly! A more in-depth look at Eva post-Rokkenjima incident? A world where Bernkastel doesn't meddle with these two and they become a loving family? Maybe Ange teaches Eva magic! How about Ange-Beatrice and Eva-Beatrice interaction, maybe in the Sea of Fragments? Or Ange's thoughts on Eva after the events of EP8 (I'm okay if you want to fabricate some meeting between the two - it's Umineko, you can make it work!) Please keep this request gen.

Eva's such an driven character, and this isn't always a good thing for her or for anyone who interacts with. She knows what she wants, and everything she does is done with such intensity it's almost frightening. She admittedly came from a privileged position, but she still had to fight her way to where she is now, and used every resource she had, and learned/acquired ones she didn't. There's just so much to her character that I haven't even touched on, and I love all of it. I appreciate how the narrative doesn't sugarcoat her actions, and that's true in regards to all of Umineko's characters, who are all incredibly flawed but just as sympathetic. She's awful to Natsuhi, cruel to Rosa when they were young and Shannon now, and more. But she's also deeply in love with Hideyoshi (the most healthy relationship in Umineko, I'd say) and fiercely protective of George, but even that backfires on her.

Ange makes me cry. She's a very favorite character archetype of mine - hardened, cynical, bitter, scarily single-minded, driven to frustrating, self-destructive, suicidal levels...but also deeply emotional and brittle. I thought her story was one of the most powerful in the entire series. Anyway, I love her a lot, and am very much invested in her character!

Eva and Ange's relationship makes me weep. It's definitely a relationship of what could have beens - a lot of their suffering after Rokkenjima could have been alleviated so much if they'd had each other as support. *SHAKES FIST AT BERN* I do like how Ange learns more about Eva, and I love how even though Eva didn't love Ange at the end, she still was loyal enough to never disclose the truth of what happened on Rokkenjima for Ange's sake. I'm glad that both of them acknowledge the wrongs they did each other. Their reconciliation scene in EP8? There were so many tears running down my face. I'd be more than happy for you to tear my heart out even more or to try to mend the leftover wounds just a bit. Please keep their relationship gen!

A few prompts:

Eva character-study post-Rokkenjima incident – her grief and isolation was only ever implied and inferred, so a more direct approach to showing it would probably crush me, but I'd love reading it.

Eva-Ange cute times in a world without Bernkastel's meddling. Damn you, Bern. This could work particularly well as a Fragment that Bernkastel shows current Ange.

How about Ange-Beatrice and Eva-Beatrice interaction?

On that note, I'd love to read anything about Eva-Ange's relationship in the present time (1998). However, I wouldn't want any glossing over of how Eva treated her - it's true that Eva did offer her love to Ange, and it's also true that Ange's rejection crushed Eva, already reeling from losing her family, but that was...well, abuse.

The AvAc versions of all the Marvel characters are just so adorable! I love how bubbly and cheerful Jan is, especially paired with how thoughtful and perceptive she is about her fellow classmates. I love how Natasha tries to play it cool, but there are the moments where she gets excited. My heart melts whenever she smiles in the game. Natasha totally has a soft spot for Jan (who doesn't?) and Jan definitely has a crush on Natasha. Story-wise, I'd really prefer fluff. Maybe Natasha goes to incredible lengths using all her spy knowledge to do something for Jan, or Jan designs more costumes for her, and in general Natasha shows her rare smile more often and Jan is enthusiastic about things.

Fire Emblem: If | Fire Emblem: Fates

Flora/Female My Unit | Avatar

Man oh man, why is F!Corrin/Flora's support leaps and bounds better than the one where I can actually marry her!? (I did it anyway.) All they want is each other's happiness! I'm admittedly far more invested in Flora than I am in Corrin, so I'll talk more about her here! Flora is one of the characters in Fates whose internal conflict really grabbed me. I like how she can't forgive herself for her mistakes and perceived flaws, and her defining feature in-game is her jealousy. She tries to live as the ideal maid because it gives her life meaning, and she's really insecure otherwise. Her character is pretty much catnip for me... so really, anything focusing on her issues would make me really happy. For fun though, I like the gag of her using her ice powers to cool herself down, or wake Corrin up, etc. For prompts, how about Flora showing Corrin even more new places? Corrin being more invested in Flora caring for herself and that thinking of herself doesn't make her this selfish, awful person she thinks she'd be? I'd be fine with a tragic Birthright story, or a bittersweet Conquest one, or a "we earned our happy ending" Revelations story.

Justice of Toren One Esk Nineteen | Breq/Mercy of Kalr

Reading through Ancillary Mercy at the most intense Breq/Ship moments was a lot of me going A;LDKJAS;DLK. I don't think a ship has turned into an OTP so quickly for me as that conversation where Breq apologizes to Ship. BREQ REALIZING HER WRONGS, AND FEELING SO MUCH REGRET FOR THEM. SHIP ADMITTING IN HER VERY ROUNDABOUT WAY THAT OH HEY MAYBE SHE CAN LOVE BREQ. (lies down on the floor) I'm not entirely sure what I want between them, other than I'm really interested in post-canon fic! More of Ship saving Breq's life? Them not really knowing how to relate to each other now?

Justice of Toren One Esk Nineteen | Breq/Seivarden Vendaai

Two words: Loyalty kink. Seivarden is my favorite character in the series, and I mostly refer to her as my favorite failboat. But really, I do enjoy all of her issues coupled with, well, how much of an obtuse jerk she can be. I really love how Breq cares for Seivarden, but never really admits it in the narration. But it's so obvious! I'd prefer fic for them to be set around Justice through early Mercy timeline, mostly because I'm more interested in seeing Seivarden at, er, the height of all her problems and how much she throws herself into serving Breq. Intensely one-sided (with maybe a few bread crumbs along the way) is more the flavor I like for this ship

Love Live! School Idol Project

Ayase Eli/Toujou Nozomi/Yazawa Nico

(This is copy and pasted from my YT letter last year, so apologies for the wall of text!)

My precious third years! I adore their dynamic dearly. I would prefer fic where they're all already friends, so sometime after the formation of Muse. Either school-life era or post-graduation would be completely fine. They are very much my OT3, but canon-esque interactions would also make me happy (and honestly, they're shippy enough in canon!). Honestly, just make my darling girls happy.

Love Live has totally been my happy place this past year! Meanwhile, the mobile game is the bane of my existence :) This is definitely a fun, fluffy canon, although touches of bittersweetness are a-okay, especially since these three in particular have had quite the lonely pasts.

In particular, about these three: I love how much they love Muse and are devoted to it, and not just because of the idol aspect or even goals such as saving the school. There is sort of a wistfulness about them since they are the ones who have dealt with disappointment and loneliness and loss, and they are really the ones who would treasure the experience that Muse has given them. I like how they're not that great at communicating their feelings and are definitely the "quietest" of the year groups, but also the ones who are so firmly embedded in Muse and what they stand for. The dynamic I like for them...I really like Nozomi and Eli spoiling Nico, who tries to play it off but secretly enjoys it and the attention they shower on her. I also like Eli and Nico acknowledging Nozomi's lack of honesty in expressing her feelings and how they're able to fluster her, the girl who puts up such a collected demeanor all the time. I also like how Eli is both very mature and also a bit childish/innocent, and I really like the idea of Nozomi and Nico looking over and pampering their responsible (girl)friend who pushes herself a lot. I love, love that they would all do this for each other in different ways. For example, Nozomi likes to tease Nico, while Eli is very forthcoming and sweet to her. It's things like this that make me love them so much!

If you play the SIF game, this is like my FAVORITE STORY CHAPTER IN THE GAME EVER. I am also a huge fan of chapter 23, where all the girls help out Nozomi at the shrine. (Nozomi is actually my favorite, although Nico and Eli are a close second and third!)

A few prompts:

Porn would be fantastic.

I would love expansion on season 2 episode 4 (the Nico-centric one), particularly what happens afterward, even though the episode ended on a great note.

I would really like the idea of songs being written for any of the trio - from the other two, perhaps? It'd be an adorable love confession, if so.

In general, these girls would be so shy and flustered about confessing their feelings that any sort of get-together would be great (usually I see it as Eli/Nozomi inviting Nico into their relationship because, c'mon, it's Eli/Nozomi! But tbh, as long as they're in an adorable cuddle puddle in the end I don't mind which route you take)

Ayase Eli/Yazawa Nico

I love how Eli is so earnest and honest with Nico. It really feels like she whole-heartedly appreciates Nico and what she does. I also love Nico admiring Eli and while being a bit jealous of her. I see them really sweet and happy together, after initial awkwardness and being weird about emotions! I love the unidolized Seven Lucky Gods UR pairing in the SIF game, because I can totally see Nico being one of the people Eli can be absolutely geeky and excited around.

Hoshizora Rin/Sonoda Umi

I love how Umi has a soft spot for Rin! And I love how Rin knows what kind of effect she has on Umi and can totally take advantage of it. I really like their dynamic in this magazine story. Can't you just see Umi being so exasperatedly fond of Rin? I think they'd both wish they could be like each other. Ugh, they're adorable <3

Kousaka Honoka/Yazawa Nico

Nico is pretty much my fandom bicycle, and Honoka is so slashy with. EVERYONE. Their interactions are especially fun, with Honoka being so open while Nico is her usual awkward self! I really liked their interactions in SIF in this chapter. Indeed, I wanted Nico to teach Honoka all about love! I like Nico having one-sided feelings for someone she'd find it especially hard to express to, and this is one of the pairings it fits. I also want Nico to educate Honoka on all the famous idols that she doesn't know about, what is wrong with you, that's blasphemy! While Honoka is impressed by all of Nico's knowledge :)

Minami Kotori/Yazawa Nico

Their most well-known interaction in the anime is when Nico asks why Kotori is working so hard, implying that people are taking advantage of her. Considering this is Nico, I took it as her being really, really awful at trying to express concern for Kotori, who really tries not to draw attention to herself and self-admittedly follows along and supports everyone all the time, which is...the exact opposite of Nico. I really like their interactions in this chapter of SIF. Man, I love them hashing it out. I really like the discussion of the more technical side of idol life, like costume making, and how much they actually respect each other! This is a pairing where I could go for some one-sided angst/pining, but preferably with a happy ending :)

Toujou Nozomi/Yazawa Nico

Nozomi being a troll to Nico because she knows exactly how Nico will react and how gleeful she gets when Nico reacts exactly how she wants is MY JAM. I also really like when Nico's protests or questions hit home and Nozomi loses her composure and gets flustered. They're absolutely hilarious, but, with their pasts, they can really understand each other. For a fic, I'd really just like them to have an honest conversation, but of course, being them, it's all roundabout and they might try to play it all off!

Love Live! Sunshine!!

Unfortunately, I'm unable to watch most of the recent episodes, but I hope to catch up by the time reveals happen.

Kunikida Hanamaru/Kurosawa Ruby/Tsushima Yoshiko

The first years have such fun interactions! I like Hanamaru, who can be pretty spacey, being more of a straight man, and Yohane being as nuts as she always is, and Ruby being so earnest about everything.

Kunikida Hanamaru/Tsushima Yoshiko

Hanamaru is so understanding of Yohane! And then she can kind of shut down Yohane, or really mess with her, and it's amazing. But really, she accepts her and that's what's important <3

Kurosawa Ruby/Tsushima Yoshiko

I can't believe Ruby wants to become Yohane's little demon. I can't believe she thinks the fallen angel thing is cool! Ruby is just precious, and I like the idea of “Yohane” being very protective of her, and in general her being a huge soft spot for Yohane.

Sakurauchi Riko/Takami Chika/Watanabe You

I like the dynamic in the Koi ni Naritai Aquarium PV where You feels left out, and of course she's so important to Chika, how could she think otherwise? And together they try to draw Riko into their friend group. Riko is my favorite character, and I think she and You could connect on that depression/melancholy judging from the PV! I also really like how well You and Chika know each other, and I'm interested in seeing how they bring Riko into their life.

Marvel 616

Carol Danvers/Jessica Drew

I like them having some friends-with-benefits sort of relationship that grows into something more. I love melodrama, but I just don't really see it for them, you know? So I'd like them treating their feelings for each other more lightly, and accepting them more easily, etc. I'd love some clever use of their powers, or just them having fun together.

That said, I did mention I love melodrama! I find that, in theory, the whole “Carol deals with the death of someone she loves by turning her emotions inwards and outwardly being cold and pragmatic” is like catnip, but...I can't say I'm a fan of the execution in recent comics. So, please, nothing related to CW2. But you can totally take that concept and turn it into a fic (uh, without any actual character death, please) and I'll be super super happy!

I'd love to read about them meeting. I'm not sure if I'd like it more if only Archer knew Kiritsugu, or if both of them knew each other's identity. I'm also not sure if I'd like it more if this Archer was post-UBW or not. I think the answer is that as long as you explore the parallels, regrets, guilt, pain, and love between these two, I will be happy with any take on their possible meeting. With one caveat: please keep this request gen.

Kiritsugu summons Archer. How does Archer react? How does Archer hide his identity from Kiritsugu, how does he act towards the father he adores, and how does he push Kiritsugu into possibly different actions to save his past-self (or, alternatively, to let his younger self die)?

Kiritsugu and Archer meet somewhere in the afterlife - maybe in Avalon? How does Kiritsugu figure out or not figure out Archer's identity? How does Kiritsugu react? (I'd say it's probably with crippling guilt.) How do they attempt to interact with each other when the last time they really were together, Archer was an innocent child? Does either of them feel like they failed the other? If in Avalon, maybe Irisviel and Illya are there as well! I'm very invested in the idea of Archer and Irisviel interacting - you know she'd love him, but she loves everyone.

Toujou Nozomi, Ayase Eli, Yazawa Nico

Sign-up details: My precious third years! I adore their dynamic dearly. I would prefer fic where they're all already friends, so sometime after the formation of Muse. Either school-life era or post-graduation would be completely fine. They are very much my OT3, but canon-esque interactions would also make me happy (and honestly, they're shippy enough in canon!). Honestly, just make my darling girls happy.

Unfortunately, I haven't watched the movie yet so I can't prompt based on that, but as it comes out before Yuletide reveals feel free to include details from it if you wish. With one exception, the lyrics of ←HEARTBEAT are utterly hilarious even if I don't know the context of them (or even if there is any context?), but I would totally love fic based on it.

Porn would be fantastic.

I would love expansion on season 2 episode 4 (the Nico-centric one), particularly what happens afterward, even though the episode ended on a great note.

I would really like the idea of songs being written for any of the trio - from the other two, perhaps? It'd be an adorable love confession, if so.

In general, these girls would be so shy and flustered about confessing their feelings that any sort of get-together would be great (usually I see it as Eli/Nozomi inviting Nico into their relationship because, c'mon, it's Eli/Nozomi! But tbh, as long as they're in an adorable cuddle puddle in the end I don't mind which route you take)

Kohaku, Tohno Akiha

Post-Kohaku's True End: they had to have had a very long, in-depth, emotional conversation about where they stand with each other after the events of Kohaku's route. It was probably really painful and difficult, but it was one they've needed to have for years. I'd love you to show me how it would have played out.

Post-Arcueid/Ciel's routes: What happened? Does Kohaku carry out her revenge? Kohaku's (and by extension, Akiha's) fate in the Near Side routes is the one burning question I have. Also, how does Hisui play a role here? I'm perfectly fine with unhappy endings, on that note - I wouldn't have requested these two if I wasn't prepared for tragedy.

Post-Akiha's True End: Again, what happens? Akiha lost the love of her life (I would prefer you disregard the Kagetsu Tohya sidestory here) and SHIKI is gone. What does Kohaku do now? Does she feel too bad to do anything to Akiha at this point? Does she make up excuses to prevent herself, or does she pull through? I'd also love to see what you do with Hisui in this scenario, as well!

I'd love porn for these two if you wanted to write that. Make it as vanilla or dirtybadwrong/kinky as you like - BDSM, bloodplay, knifeplay, torture - anything on the more violent side of kink except guro would be great!

Hell, if you wanted to write really darkfic, by all means go ahead. These two have the potential to be incredibly fucked-up, so I actually wouldn't bat an eye at brutal murder or torture, to be honest. No rape though, please - dubcon is okay, though.

Firstly, please don't feel limited at all by what's in this letter. I've listed why I like these canons/characters/relationships and provided prompts just because I wish I can be at least a little helpful with providing some inspiration for you. If the prompts don't work for you but something else does, take it wherever you want it to go! If you have fun and are satisfied with the end-product, I assure you that is enough to make me happy. I adore all of these canons and am actually in each of them year-round, so moar fic for one of them is already enough to give me some holiday cheer!

Sign-up details: I would be happy with a story from pretty much any point in their canon history. For example, during Annihilation, their working relationship was already established by the time we met them, so how did they get to that point? If you want, you can disregard the ongoing Original Sin tie-in and answer the question of what happened to them after the fault closed, and how Pete escaped and Rich didn't. If you don't want to disregard it, you can always write a sequel to it (even though we don't know the ending of OS yet at the time I'm writing up this request!) Or how about an AU where Rich is a full-time member of the GotG? I do ship them, but as long their relationship is the main focus in the fic, I'm good!

I really like how, initially, Peter is the gruffer, more hardened of the two, but also the one who tries to lighten things up/impart wisdom, especially for Rich, who's still suffering from survivor's guilt from the destruction of Xandar. I love how we can see them go from slightly awkward, grudging allies to genuinely good friends and a great team - the type who would choose each other if they had to pick a person to go down with in the face of death, guns ablaze. They're so comfortable with each other, it's great. I just adore just how much they've matured from the beginning of Annihilation to the time they have their last stand in the Cancerverse.

I do ship it, but I'd love anything, shippy or not, as long as it focuses on their relationship. I'd prefer to see something set during Annihilation or post-Thanos Imperative. Feel free to ignore the Original Sin tie-in if you want to tackle what happened in the Cancerverse.

EDIT: So I just read GotG 20 and now I can't stop reading Pete and Rich's relationship as Pete pining after Rich so if you want to play on that angle please feel free!

How about setting a story in an AU where Richard was officially part of the GotG? There are a lot of possibilities for team-bonding here (Rich and Vance!) since Rich never interacted very much with most of the GotG cast. Really, I feel that Rich not being part of the GotG in the comics was because he had his own ongoing.

Matoi Ryuuko; Kiryuuin Satsuki

Sign-up details: I'd really like a post-canon fic where Ryuko and Satsuki face some kind of conflict. It can be external, such as them having to battle together (feel free to pull out all of your battle couple tropes here!), or it can be relational - how would they handle their first argument as sisters? How would they make up? How do they awkardly navigate their newfound relationship, when the concept of family is quite foreign to the both of them? I do ship them, but as long their relationship is the main focus in the fic, I'm good!

These two are my happy place! Kill la Kill was some of the most fun I've had with an anime in a long, long time. It's over the top but incredibly earnest, dramatic and cheesy but not embarrassing (okay, disregarding the fanservice), and chock full with charming, darling characters. I love Ryuko and Satsuki's relationship at pretty much any point in the series, whether they're glaring each other down, trying to kill each other, or awkwardly navigating their newfound sisterhood. They were the heart of the series for me and I get little flutters whenever I think of/am reminded of these two. I do ship it, so if you want to go that route feel free!

A few prompts:

Post-canon: so many possibilities! They've never really had their own time to do fun things, so I would love to see a sister-date (which can also be a date-date, hey). I want to see how Ryuko tries to help Satsuki with her vision of a better world, and maybe Satsuki just wanting Ryuko to live her own life for once. I WANT THEM TO BOND A LOT - they're already so close from the little time in canon they spent on the same side, but I think they're very compatible people! Hey, how about their first argument as sisters? When we think of what Ryuko and her dad's strained relationship turned out to be, how would Ryuko handle it now that she's actually found her family again?

I don't see too much room for them to interact in series, but hey, if you want to fabricate a meeting between the two them I'm all ears (or eyes, in this case?)

Battle couple! I want them to fight back to back, side by side, high-stakes and high-drama, and hey, if you want, throw in some h/c as well. One of them sacrificing themselves for the other! One of them getting captured and the other trying to deal with this! One of them getting mind-controlled and the other one desperately trying not to hurt them while not getting killed themselves! (Which happened in canon! Thanks, canon!)

Porn is good :) fun with Senketsu and Junketsu? Post-canon? You can throw canon timelines out the window here if you want to go this route, really.

Umineko no Naku Koro ni | When the Seagulls Cry
Ushiromiya Eva; Ushiromiya Ange

Eva's such an driven character, and this isn't always a good thing for her or for anyone who interacts with. She knows what she wants, and everything she does is done with such intensity it's almost scary. She admittedly came from a privileged position, but she still had to fight her way to where she is now, and used every resource she had, and learned/acquired ones she didn't. There's just so much to her character that I haven't even touched on, and I love all of it. I appreciate how the narrative never sugercoats or makes attempts to make you biased in any way towards her, and that's true in regards to all of Umineko's characters, who are all incredibly flawed but just as sympathetic. She's awful to Natsuhi, cruel to Rosa when they were young and Shannon now, and more. But she's also deeply in love with Hideyoshi (the most healthy relationship in Umineko, I'd say) and fiercely protective of George.

Ange makes me cry. She's a very favorite character archetype of mine - hardened, cynical, bitter, single-minded, driven to frustrating, self-destructive, suicidal levels...but also deeply emotional and brittle. I thought her story was one of the most powerful in the entire series. Anyway, I love her a lot, and am very much invested in her character!

Eva and Ange's relationship makes me weep. I'd be more than happy for you to tear my heart out even more or to try to mend the leftover wounds just a bit. Please keep their relationship gen!

A few prompts:

Eva character-study post-Rokkenjima incident – her grief and isolation was only ever implied and inferred, so a more direct approach to showing it would probably crush me, but I'd love reading it.

Eva-Ange cute times in a world without Bernkastel's meddling. Damn you, Bern. This could work particularly well as a Fragment that Bernkastel shows Ange.

How about Ange-Beatrice and Eva-Beatrice interaction?

On that note, I'd love to read anything about Eva-Ange's relationship in the present time (1998). However, I wouldn't want any glossing over of how Eva treated her - it's true that Eva did offer her love to Ange, and it's also true that Ange's rejection crushed Eva, but the way she treats Ange is not justified. Once Eva makes up her mind about someone, it's there to stay - she's very stubborn and unwilling to bend.

Hello, and thank you so much for writing/arting for me! I'm super excited that you decided to participate, and I'm looking forward to seeing what you have planned for me. I just wanted to give you a better idea of what I like here, but if some inspiration hits you that doesn't match up to my letter, go where you want to go - I'm sure I'll love it! I just ask that you try not to include my dislikes.

Also, I'm putting this upfront: this is a very shippy letter, and my requests reflect that. I ship them hard. However, I'm pretty much in love with their relationship no matter what kind it is, so I'm perfectly happy with any variation of gen-fic. I would love something set in either the Heroic Age or Marvel NOW! era. I'd also love anything from pre-New Avengers, with the caveat that I've completely backread to the beginning of vol 3, and have read various arcs of vol 1. I'm burnt out on New Avengers vol 1, including Civil War/Secret Invasion, though, so I'd prefer not to get anything from that era.

A few prompts:

As convoluted as the "Next Avengers" storyline was in Avengers v4, I'd love to see some interaction between Future-Tony and Steve

I would really love your own canon AU on the current storylines: incursions (New Avengers) or Avengers World "we gotta go bigger" (Avengers) deal - you'll probably be jossed, sure, but I find the possibilities way too intriguing

Monster-of-the-week is fun! If you wrote this, I'd prefer it pre-New Avengers vol 1, just because I thought there was more of a team feeling back then

I'd be very happy with a get-together/reconciliation story set during the Heroic Age or pre-New Avengers. However, I would really not prefer one in Marvel NOW! post-New Avengers #3, unless you really dialed up the angst and showed just how fucked up it is if you're going for shippy, with the caveat that I'd be perfectly fine with a very, very messy one where Steve finds out about the mindwipe, even though that would be quite a bit of weight to pull. Um, on that note, I don't mind narratives like "the rest of the team are suspicious of their feelings towards each other", but business such as a betting pool, or trying to push them into a relationship with each other totally pings my embarrassment squick.

Natasha Romanov, Yelena Belova

I ship it hard. They're woefully intriguing. I really like Natasha's affection for Yelena, how she lets up on Yelena and goes a bit easy on her, and how that infuriates Yelena. I like Yelena's obsessive frustration, anger, and bitterness with Natasha. I don't have any real preferences for when to set a story for them.

...Or casefic where they're on opposite sides. (I realize these two ideas are basically: give me more of what we get in canon, haha! But what we get in canon is so good!)

Because seducing Yelena was a SHIELD mission. Somehow. Since this is practically a kink-meme prompt in itself, bonus points for Yelena feeling betrayed and angry, but mostly at herself.

Humberto Lopez; Jeanne Foucault; Jennifer Takeda

I've read the Avengers Academy run. I have not read Avengers: The Initiative, nor have I read Avengers Arena (I don't look up spoilers for Arena, either. If any of my babies have died, I don't know about it, nor do I want to.)

Where to get it: The cheapest way to get this run legally is through signing up for Marvel Unlimited, Marvel's digital back-issue archive, where the entire series of 39 issues is available. It's $10/month, which is definitely enough time if you wanted to read through (it also includes thousands of other back-issues!)

What I like:

Series: Eee - AA is probably my favorite Avengers title from recent memory. I really like the mix of slice-of-life and action. This is a series where I'm fond of every single character, so if you wanted to bring in anyone else from the Academy, even if I didn't request them, I'd be stoked. Characters from the greater Marvel U would be cool, too, but I'd like the focus to be on the Academy. The students' interactions with each other, their families, and the teachers are all gold.

The series is also great with spreading the focus around – I feel like I got a good sense of every character and what they were facing, even though it was a team book. But, more character-centric stuff could never be a bad thing!

Humberto Lopez: I admire how much he cares about his classmates, and the sense of responsibility he feels towards them and their well-being. However, he's also insecure in his ability to help/lead them – this is a conflict that I really like about superheroes in general. He thrives in a team environment. His admiration of the Avengers harbored since he was a young boy is adorable.

Jeanne Foucault: My favorite thing about Finesse is how perceptive her objectivity makes her. She notices things about people, but doesn't necessarily understand what those mean. I also love her character development over the course of the series.The glimpse we saw of her in the future with her memory problems was wonderful, and a particularly good angle if angst/introspection is your thing. About characters that weren't nominated, I do think her interactions with Laura, Taskmaster, and Pietro were wonderful and insightful, and would be more than happy to read about them.

About Reptil/Finesse – I do like them together! If you want to write a shippy fic, I'd be happy to read it, although I'd prefer it along the lines of how the series handled their relationship - not as romantic as, say, Hazmat/Mettle, but as two teenagers who very much have their own lives/problems/insecurities but still have feelings for each other.

Jennifer Takeda: I love her snarkiness, bluntness, and her inability to hide her emotions very well. She's a bit bratty, but she has a big heart. It's fascinating how she used to be a model teen, but after her powers manifested and her life radically changed, she's become more of the stereotypical, surly teenager (for good reason, though!). Hazmat/Mettle is great, but I'd really prefer it to take a backseat to Hazmat herself in a fic, if that's what you wanted to go for.

Fic ideas/prompts:

Like I said, I love the relationships all of the students have, whether they're with each other, the teachers, their families, even the villains, so anything expanding on those would be great. Team casefic (go, random villains of the day!) is also great, as are character studies. Here are some more specific prompts:

Reptil talking about children with any of the teachers who are parents (Tigra is great, but if you could make it work with Pietro I'd want to read that, too!) after reflecting on his memories of the future and his daughter. Doable with Finesse, too, but all she knows is hear-say from Reptil, but Finesse attempting those topics would make for some very interesting conversations.

I think it's touching how overprotective Hank is of the students, and I always wanted to see some scenario when the students themselves act the same towards him. It really hits me in my found-family-loving heart.

On that note, anything about being a found family, the Academy being a home away from home. I like it when my heart melts.

Parties! Birthday parties, holiday parties, we-just-finished-finals parties! I liked the prom issue a lot. Random AA outings, like when Hank took them out to a Broadway play, are also good!

Fire Emblem: Kakusei | Fire Emblem: Awakening
Lucina (Fire Emblem); Serena | Severa

I've played the game and relevant DLCs (or I've watched Youtube clips of DLCs I didn't want to pay for).

Where to get it: It's a Nintendo 3DS strategy RPG. Phoenixmaster1 has a complete walkthrough of the game. I haven't watched it myself, but looks like everything is there!

What I like:

Series: Well, it's a very fun and addicting game, but that's not relevant to fanfic! I thought that Awakening's story had glaring flaws, and to tell you the truth, I'm a bit soured on the main storyline and the DLC paralogues. That aside, Fire Emblem's appeal has always been the characters, anyways, and the genius support system that makes it possible to get to know every character in your army.

My favorite bit of the story in Awakening is the future children (it always boggles me that they're actually optional, save for Lucina!) Point one: they're tragic but heroic. Point two: touching parent-child relationships everywhere! I love how the kids aren't just expys of their parents, and how each of them have very different personalities, and different ways of dealing with their trauma. I'm also a sucker for resistance-movement-style scenarios, which definitely applies to the second gen and the Risen. Whether it's the characters we have in our party or the Future Past versions, the tragedy (but also hope) in their stories gets me everytime, and their existence, imo, makes Awakening that much richer of a game.

Lucina: I admire Lucina's strength a lot, and really appreciate her role in the game. I wish she had done a little bit more in the main storyline (sometimes I feel like while her reveal was huge, she didn't do much to avert her bad end future, but I blame that more on the writing). She's prone to melancholy, but she also has a silly side. I like her interactions with pretty much anyone. I also think how hard she tries to be a role model or a leader for the others is really interesting, especially with how she acts so repressed and reserved. This is as opposed to Chrom, who is a fine leader, but is a very "honest" person in how he acts. I'd love to see exploration of this leadership dynamic between Chrom and Lucina, and Lucina's struggles with it! I feel like Lucina has always been chasing after Chrom's shadow, and while Chrom did question how he could ever live up to Emm's legacy, it's not a major part of his character post-timeskip.

Severa: Although I wasn't fond of her at first, she's really grown on me and she's one of my favorites now. I'm not going to deny that she can be outright mean and cruel. What gets me about her is the serious inferiority complex as well as abandonment issues, and how her behavior can be seen as exaggerated as a coping mechanism. She's on the extreme side of tsundere, but she also has believable reasons for acting the way she does. If you are not up for writing Lucina/Severa, I'm fascinated by Severa and Cordelia's fraught relationship. I have the feeling that Cordelia doesn't really "get" her daughter, no matter how good her intentions are, which can drive more wedges in their relationship. That's how I view Cordelia in general, though - while she's perceptive and insightful, she also has trouble empathizing with others, and holds them up to her own standards of perfection. I still find Cordelia and Severa very touching, though!

I ship Lucina/Severa a ton! There are very interesting parallels between them. I think that they both isolate themselves intentionally because of how they want others to perceive them (Lucina as a steadfast leader, Severa as the fiercely independent fighter). Lucina in general tends to bring out the best in the other children characters, and it's very true in Severa's case. Their Hot Springs Scramble as well as their Future Past conversation made me really happy because I didn't expect to see the level of trust and companionship between them that was there.

Other ships for Lucina or Severa that I like: Lucina/Owain and Severa/Noire. Lucina admittedly goes well with pretty much anyone, although not romantically with Cynthia, since even when they're not actually sisters, their relationship is very adorable and sisterly. I like how at-ease Owain and Lucina are with each other, and I got the impression that this comfort leads their true personalities coming out more in this support conversation - for example, Owain isn't as bombastic, and Lucina isn't as worried/serious. Usually I like a little more tension in my ships, but Lucina/Owain just interact so easily and without angst/huge revelations that I'm very fond of them - they don't need more drama in their life! For Severa/Noire, I was pleasantly surprised at how kind Severa is to Noire, and the two show a level of comfort with each other that is just adorable, especially since neither of them have very open personalities. For Severa in particular, the idea of her having a soft spot for someone who you'd imagine she'd get fed up with quite quickly is really sweet.

Fic ideas/prompts:

Severa/Noire: their hypothetical S-support + paired ending!

Lucina/Severa: I'd love to see some interaction between them from their future (although I see that as something more gen-ish, but honestly, just them interacting makes my day). Future Past!Lucina/Severa would also be perfect - I have a thing for princess/knight pairings.

Lucina/Owain: I really want to see something from their paired ending - preferably cute and fluffy! I'd also adore to see some interaction between them from their future, as well.

Lucina/Severa OR Lucina/Owain: I'd love to see Lucina being overly willing to sacrifice herself, and the angst that ensues. I actually got this idea from this artist's Lucina/Owain artworks (like here or here), but definitely felt like it could be expanded upon! Yay, angst!

Severa + Cordelia: I actually don't have any specific ideas for these two! How about something to do with pegasus knights (maybe Severa bonds with Cordelia's pegasus?) Cordelia wants bonding-time and it's an utter failure, but with a cute ending?

Lucina: what about a hypothetical support conversation chain with Lissa (why doesn't this exist in the actual game omg)? Or even Emmeryn, even if Emm's return makes me go :/ (I personally consider it not-canon) but still, the idea of them interact is super intriguing.

Secret Avengers
Bobbi Morse

I've read everything Bobbi's been in since she returned at the end of Secret Invasion. Unfortunately, I haven't read anything she's in before that (I'll get around to it someday!) but I do know the general gist of things from the recaps in the minis/Wikipedia.

Where to get it: For the current run of Secret Avengers (vol 2), the cheapest option is to buy the first trade, which covers #1-5, and pick up the rest (currently #6-9) through single issues or digitally (Comixology is the best choice here.) For other Bobbi issues I mention below, New Avengers: the Reunion, Hawkeye & Mockingbird, and New Avengers vol 2 are all available on Marvel Unlimited, a digital back-issue archive, which is $10/month.

What I like:

Bobbi Morse: Bobbi is one of my favorites. I like how she's cool, confident, and competent, but I also like how the emotional scars she has from her time spent on the Skrull homeworld has affected her. Her distance from others and difficulty in getting close, which is mostly self-imposed (especially in regards to her family) make my heart ache. But it's such a unique and angsty part of her to explore! In contrast to that, she's also refreshing because she's positive and has a lot of fun. Issues/arcs I really liked of her, to give you a feel for what I'm looking for: New Avengers: the Reunion, Hawkeye & Mockingbird, Widowmaker, New Avengers vol 2 #14, Secret Avengers vol 2 #8. I'm not exactly familiar with how Yuletide works with regards to comics canon, but if you've only read Secret Avengers, you can totally work from just the characterization and the sticky situation she's currently in there.

I do ship Clint/Bobbi really, really hard. They're a great, convincing partnership, in both the romantic and kick-ass duo sense. I'd love to read about them if you were itching to write shipfic, but I'd prefer the focus to be on our (and Clint's) favorite Birdie.

Fic ideas/prompts:

Bobbi on AIM Island (which I don't think they're letting her escape from for a while, so you won't be Jossed during the writing period, at least!). Just a general introspection is great, but if you wanted to write something with plot to get her the hell out of there, that's awesome too! Or, maybe a fic set in the theoretical aftermath when she does escape – maybe her feelings of betrayal or outrage, before SHIELD (most likely) wipes her memory.

Or, how about a fic about how Bobbi was recruited into the Secret Avengers, a la vol 2 #1 with Clint and Natasha's stories? Like, missionfic :D

Something about the WCA – casefic, perhaps? Or general team interactions, since they were fun for the short-time they were prominent in the minis.

This isn't an actual idea, but I'd love reading something about her being badass, especially now with her Infinity-Formula-granted powers. If fight scenes aren't your thing, she can also show off her scientist or spy skills!

In general, if you like character-studies, I think Bobbi is a character who would really benefit from those, since she's had so much happen to her in recent Marvel history, so I'd be ecstatic to read those! If you did one, I'd really like to see at least a mention of her time in disguise on the Skrull homeworld.

Umineko no Naku Koro ni | When the Seagulls Cry
Ushiromiya Eva; Lambdadelta

I've read all of the sound novels, and most of the TIPs. The only ones I haven't read are the sillier ones, but stuff like Witch's Tanabata and Lambdadelta's Diary I've read. I've also read all of the Higurashi sound novels, if you want to write about Lambda and would like to include those. For the adaptations: I dropped the anime at the end of Episode 2 (the arc, not actual episode 2), and I've only read bits and pieces of the manga. So, my details on it are based on the sound novels (I apologize if this makes it difficult for you, since the anime and the manga have not adapted the entirety of the series).

Where to get it: Umineko is long (there are 8 Episodes, and each Episode averages around 10+ hours of reading), so if you're here and not already familiar with it, then I wish you luck. That said, you'd want to visit The Witch Hunt, the translation team behind the games, for info on getting the games and patching it up. Even though they're long, I highly recommend reading the games. Umineko is definitely one of the most unique, intense, and emotionally resonant canons I've ever experienced. It also has amazing music (here and here are just a few of them - although avoid the comments section by all cost, since it's incredibly easy to get spoiled on Umineko, considering it's a mystery series).

Anyways, for this particular canon, I'm really looking for character-centric fic! This is also to make everyone's lives easier, because the plot and world are huge, sprawling, and complex, so I think it'll be helpful to narrow it down.

What I like:

Ushiromiya Eva: She's such an driven character, and this isn't always a good thing for her or for anyone who interacts with. She knows what she wants, and everything she does is done with such intensity it's almost scary. She admittedly came from a privileged position, but she still had to fight her way to where she is now, and used every resource she had, and learned/acquired ones she didn't. There's just so much to her character that I haven't even touched on, and I love all of it. I appreciate how the narrative never sugercoats or makes attempts to make you biased in any way towards her, and that's true in regards to all of Umineko's characters, who are all incredibly flawed but just as sympathetic. She's awful to Natsuhi, cruel to Rosa when they were young and Shannon now, and more. But she's also deeply in love with Hideyoshi (the most healthy relationship in Umineko, I'd say) and fiercely protective of George. Eva and Ange's relationship makes me weep.

Lambdadelta: My cute super paper! I wasn't a fan of her pre-Chiru, but Chiru's focus on the magic characters made me much more fond of them (...exception is Bern, but see: my thoughts and Eva and Ange's relationship). I love how, while there's more to Lambdadelta than what she shows (such as the scene where she explains logic errors to Battler), there's also nothing inherently fake about the way she presents herself. Yes, she is a sadist, and yes, she's only invested in this game because it's amusing to watch and she has her own stake in it! It's refreshing as hell to see a character without a facade, but is still interesting and multi-layered. I also like how even now, I'm not really sure where she walks on the line of good-evil. That's very true to Umineko, that it's not so black and white, and it's more a matter of chance how she ended up where she was for this game. I mean, see Higurashi, Bernkastel and Lambadelta's first game together, and compare that to their stances in Umineko. On that note, I do ship Bernkastel/Lambdadelta a lot - it's hard not to!

Fic ideas/prompts:

Eva character-study post-Rokkenjima incident – her grief and isolation was only ever implied and inferred, so a more direct approach to showing it would probably crush me, but I'd love reading it.

Eva-Ange cute times in a world without Bernkastel's meddling. Damn you, Bern.

On that note, I'd love to read anything about Eva-Ange's relationship in the present time. However, I wouldn't want any glossing over of how Eva treated her - it's true that Eva did offer her love to Ange, and it's also true that Ange's rejection crushed Eva, but the way she treats Ange is not justified. Once Eva makes up her mind about someone, it's there to stay - she's very stubborn and unwilling to bend.

Ushiromiya siblings - I'd be so there for anything about their relationship when they were young. I'd really want to see a scene from their childhood years (although I'd prefer the ending of that to be at least a little touching, I don't think I can take seeing the contempt they show as adults).

Bernkastel/Lambdadelta – anything at all. Seriously. They're so twisted and wonderful. You can even disregard me not asking for porn in my general section, I would take a-n-y-t-h-i-n-g and revel in it.

Lambdadelta being popular among the witches is really charming, so anything with her interacting with the others and being a good host would tickle my fancy.

I always wanted to see Lambdadelta reacting to her placement in the Umineko EP8 character poll, where she did indeed get in the Top 5, hee.
