I finally got around to making some icons again :D Some of them were made for an awesome HP battle I did with fulminant and nupmetal at theiconquest! You can see their icons here. Also; I've wanted to make some Moulin Rouge icons for quite some time (because there really aren't enough around) but I always found the caps so hard to work with. Pretty pleased with the results though :)

Made for inspired20in20 9th challenge: resourceful. What mostly inspired this whole post was the 'Somebody that I used to know' video. The soft pink colors and thin lines I used a lot for these icons. Also, the textures by Planetes Bend Between Us were amazing <3 Never used them before, but I downloaded two of their packs and used them pretty much on everything. For the rest, just played around with lots of textures, some more subtle than others :)

Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows

I made a Deathly Hallows picspam for picspammy's 24th challenge: Emotions. DH was so fucking amazing!! I loved this movie, it was so much better than any of the others. They actually used quotes from the books, and they sticked mostly to Rowling's story. And the acting of the trio has so much improved. Emotions enough in this movie! It was hard to find the right caps though, because there aren't many HQ caps around of the movie yet.

There's something called Plutchik's wheel of emotions, which contains 8 basic emotions that I illustrated in this picspam. So.. enjoy :D

And of course this post contains spoilers for DH!

Joy

About the only happy scene in Deathly Hallows. It was for many characters the last time they could feel joyous for a long time. Fleur's dress was gorgeous btw! [and these caps aren't the best, but I could find any caps from the wedding in a better quality xD]

Surprise

"You've got to give them credit, it makes sense. It was only people who were serious about standing up to him, like Dumbledore, who even dared use it. Now they've put a Taboo on it, anyone who says it is trackable -- quick-and-easy way to find Order members!"

And so the running began..

Disgust

Harry looked more closely and realized that what he had thought were decoratively carved thrones were actually mounds of carved humans: hundreds and hundreds of naked bodies, men, women, and children, all with rather stupid, ugly faces, twisted and pressed together to support the weight of the handsomely robed wizards.

Okay, this was the hardest emotion for me to find in DH.. But these scenes pretty much show the disgust this ministry feel for muggles. And they ruined the fountain :( God I just can't stand Umbridge!

Anger

"You think I don't know how this feels?"
"No! You don't know how it feels! Your parents are dead! You have no family!"

This was so good! Really good action by both of them, especially Rupert is doing an amazing job. I felt so sad for Harry and Ron :( I really don't blame Ron though, he just can't cope with his fears and deals with them wrongly. But he makes up for it later! [and Ron making up to Hermione was brilliant xD]

Fear

"None of the old places are safe."

I just couldn't pick only one scene for this. There's so much fear in this movie, so many scary things happening. And again, great acting <3

Trust

"Harry is the best hope we have."

I think Hermione shows here how much faith she has in Harry. Even though she loves Ron, she doesn't leave with him. She sticks with Harry, showing both her loyalty and how much she trusts him. She didn't doubt him, like she almost never does.

Sadness

"Dobby has no master. Dobby is a free elf. Dobby has come to save Harry Potter."

Come on, who didn't cry? Teared up a little? I loved Dobby as a character since he appeared in CoS, and when I read this chapter in DH.. It was just as bad in the movie. He's so fierce, with his trainers, saving them all. Here lies Dobby, a free elf. Rowling, what did you do :(

Anticipation

"So the oldest brother, who was a combative man, asked for a wand more powerful than any in existence: a wand that must always win duels for its owner, a wand worthy of a wizard who had conquered Death!"

Hmm I liked the ending of the first part! It just left me all excited for the second part. This ending scene was a really nice touch. And secretly I´m laughing because Voldemort thinks he has won this war when he´s holding the Elder Wand *evil laugh*
