Bullet Point Propaganda
The Battle for America's Mind
I want to make my perspective clear. I believe Islam is a false religion. A religion that is celebrated by Satan. It is ultimately rooted in deception and opposed to the truth of Christ. It is a system that, in my view, leads souls away from salvation and into eternal separation from God. That is where I stand theologically, and I will not pretend otherwise.
I think the world would be better off without the “Religion of Peace.” Lucky for me I am an American so I can say that out loud. Now, contrary to the views of most leftists out there, that doesn’t make me a bigot, or a racist, or anything like that. Actually it doesn’t make me anything except a Christian who also loves people of different faith.
But this is not a theological essay, and what follows is not an invitation to debate the merits of one faith over another. What I am addressing here is another evil altogether. A calculated propaganda campaign that is being waged against the Americans, and the danger of letting it succeed.
Americans are so easily pushed around by the headlines of the day. We are so busy with our lives that many of us only read the headlines. As if the news could be a short bullet list you read daily and then can consider yourself “informed.” When really all you are is subverted on a daily basis by the bullet points on that list. When a society becomes so easily influenced by propagandists and tyrants it becomes vulnerable.
This is not a question of religion, it is a question of American sovereignty, constitutional principle, and rational national interest. If we allow ourselves to be consumed by fearmongering or tribal hatred of a different group of people. We are playing directly into the hands of manipulators who want us emotional and reactive. Emotions are easy to influence. Facts, law, and reason are not.
Emotions and bullet point headlines helped Hitler turn Germany against the Jews. Hitler made the Holocaust socially possible. Not acceptable, just possible, and possible is all you need.
The border crisis that the Biden administration created and encouraged has already caused the death of many Americans. Now we have millions of people in America who hate America. Full terrorist cells in every state in the nation awaiting orders. There will be blood and carnage on our streets. There is legitimate concern in reference to the Islamification of America. However, we are a nation of laws. The constitution should not be violated in reference to American Muslims who follow the law and support America. We do not need another round of Japanese internment camps. We do need to add an amendment to the constitution that only American born citizens can hold any public office. We need election security with election day voting, paper ballots, and strict voter ID laws. Additionally we need to close our borders to legal immigration for a time. A few decades to allow the immigrants here now to assimilate.
It is easy to convince people that we should open the borders to whoever wants in. Emotional blackmail of some videos with struggling families just trying for a better life and the narrative is sold. No one wants to appear heartless. Additionally millions of Americans are happy to “generously” support illegal immigrants with someone else’s money.
On the other hand we can’t continue to take in endless numbers of people, legally or illegally. Especially those who choose not to assimilate while draining the system of resources. They negatively effect housing prices and availability. Suppressing wages while reducing employment opportunities for citizens. They create a “net fiscal deficit of over $116 Billion annually”.
Understanding both sides of an issue helps us come to a rational conclusion. One that we are able to argue confidently when challenged. This is why critical thinking is shunned and group think is promoted. Group think provides the bullet points, but to be a good citizen you have to do more than just trust the carefully worded bullet points. Each group has its own daily set full of confirmation bias and lies.
To understand the Islamification narrative I believe we must strip away the religious aspect and look at the issue with clear eyes. The United States is experiencing a sustained and deliberate dilution of its national identity. The problem is, and has been for decades uncontrolled mass immigration, both legal and illegal. This is not a Muslim issue. This is an American issue.
The fact is that tens of millions have entered without vetting, without limit, and often with active government assistance. The Founders did welcome immigration however they envisioned orderly, merit-based, scale-appropriate immigration. They were cultivating a new nation that needed population growth. They did not envision, and could not have envisioned, an executive branch that would effectively suspend the border. Then facilitate and reward illegal entry with smartphone apps, monthly checks, free housing, and food benefits. All paid for by American citizens who never consented to any of it.
That is not a religious crisis. That is a constitutional crisis. That is a sovereignty crisis. That is a resource crisis. It demands a constitutional, legal, and rational response—not a crusade.
Yet notice what is happening right now, with almost choreographed precision. At the exact moment when American support for Israel and its actions in Gaza has plummeted to historic lows. The narrative is switched to the dangers of Islam. Fueled by people on a mission to provoke anger and stir division.
Even solid Israeli allies like evangelical Christians are finally asking hard questions about Israel. This is because the images of destruction in Gaza have eroded the old moral certainty Israel once possessed. As this is happening a new narrative is funneled across every American screen, “Islam is coming for you.” Suddenly the airwaves and timelines are flooded with the most inflammatory, and edited clips imaginable. Angry imams shouting in Arabic, inauthentic provocateurs slapping bacon on Qurans, edited videos that make every protest look like the apocalypse. The timing is simply too convenient to be organic.
This is textbook deflection, using propaganda to influence a desired outcome. Nothing new here, just the same tired playbook.
1. Find or manufacture the most unhinged behavior possible. Carefully-pick the worst, most unhinged clips.
2. Strip away all context (especially the part where the “victim” was deliberately provoking a reaction).
Present curated narrative as representative of the whole group. In this case, Muslims.
Have puppets claiming to be “conservative” or “Christian” voices amplify it. It would be helpful if the puppet could be tied to Republicans, The President, and J6 as well.
Push the stories through smaller less reputable outlets or supposedly neutral outlets. Then big networks repeat it while never taking ownership. (“As Axios is reporting…”).
Watch the Overton window move in the desired direction as social media propaganda spreads.
The effect is immediate and predictable. People who five minutes ago were horrified by images of dead children in Gaza are now freaking out about “no-go zones” and “sharia courts” in Michigan. The heat that was on Israel is suddenly, magically, on “Islam.” Mission accomplished.
Do not misunderstand me, radical Islam exists. There are real and serious problems within that religious culture, and not enough Muslim voices are willing to call it out. The Pew data showing that roughly one in five Muslims worldwide believes violence against civilians can be justified in defense of Islam is a legitimate concern.
However, concerns can become weapons the moment they are detached from context and our own American interests. They become tools to manipulate an ignorant public’s opinion. Propaganda based on half-truths give the people something to hold onto. A shred of truth surrounded by a carefully constructed narrative adds credibility to the lies.
The question is never “Does a threat exist?” The question is always “Who benefits when I am convinced to direct my fear and anger at this particular target, right now?”
As a Christian, I am commanded to love my neighbor, to pray for those who are lost, and to reflect the character of Christ to a watching world. Burning a Quran or screaming slurs at a woman in a hijab does none of that. It hardens hearts and confirms every negative stereotype the lost already believe about Christians or conservatives.
As an American, I will defend to my last breath any citizen’s First Amendment right to peaceably practice whatever religion he chooses, so long as it does not infringe on the rights of others or violate the law.
We must think clearly and refuse to be manipulated. So close the border. Restore the rule of law. Demand assimilation or deportation of new immigrants. Return to orderly, merit-based, limited immigration that serves the interests of existing citizens. Do it today. Do it completely. No more games Congress. We realize it is a valuable political football but the people are tired of its government’s games.
That is the rational, constitutional, American response and it does not require me to hate a single Muslim or to allow myself to be influenced into believing someone else’s fictional narratives. Bullet points.
Discernment is not optional. The devil quotes Scripture when it serves him, but he also funds evil, edits video clips, and manipulates people. The King of Lies. Do not let him redirect your righteous concern for this country into someone else’s war. Keep your eyes open. Keep your heart anchored in truth. And above all, keep your mind engaged. That is how we restore America. Not as angry crusaders, but as informed citizens no longer under the spell of propaganda.
