Context

Rolling Sets Festival is an All Ages event held in the beautiful Coffs Harbour, presented by Kingdom Sounds, Afends, Whatslively and +Focus. For its debut event in 2020, Rolling Sets arrived with a clear identity: retro, expressive and full of energy, and needed a digital home to match.

The brief called for a fully functional website that could speak to multiple audiences: festival-goers looking for lineup and ticketing information, and professional bodies requiring event credentials and logistics. The site also needed to integrate with Oztix for ticket sales, and give the Rolling Sets team a manageable system they could use to track performance and communicate with their audience.

The existing challenge was simple: no website existed yet. Everything needed to be built from the ground up, with a strong visual foundation and enough flexibility to serve a diverse audience.

The Shift

This was more than a website build. It was the creation of a digital identity for a brand new event.

Rolling Sets had strong illustrative assets and a clear visual personality, but needed a platform that could bring those elements to life in motion, support multiple pages of content for different audiences, drive ticket sales, and make a genuine impression at launch. The stakes were high: a debut event has one chance to set the tone and build momentum.
