this is from an old project codenamed "ver0." I don't remember why it was called that or anything, but I do know that this was my very first game maker project, and it was ambitious as hell.

I started it in 2011. being my first game, and also being like 13-14 years old, I wanted nothing more than to make a self-insert metroidvania game with cues from SOTN and SCV4.

the character sprite on the album art was supposed to be me, but I was also pretty obsessive about making the game look like an NES game, so I used a 3-color palette.

I had about 20 full songs written for the game separated into two folders; one was the initial draft and one was the revised draft (which consisted entirely of new songs, with one exception.) I started writing music for the game before I even got Game Maker, which is why most of the first draft was written in 2010-2011.

Ver0 OST Revised - Unfinished Track 1

main theme of a game I never finished. it was my second big attempt at making a self-insert RPG game but I really stopped working on it in 2013 and eventually reworked the game engine for Space Cat.

the song itself is dated May 12, 2013. I also made a famitracker version (which I think made it on my youtube channel) and a few versions with alternate instruments, but I'm gonna wait on bringing those here.

this is a preview of the arranged soundtrack. I'm arranging every single song from Space Cat and putting it into a bandcamp album when it's done. 

I have 6 tracks done right now, and the final game (with the upcoming update) has at least 40 tracks, so it's going to be awhile until this project is actually complete.

I'm probably not uploading every track here. I don't have soundcloud pro, so it's going to eat up my free minutes if I upload every single track. I'll post a preview song every now and then just to keep the interest alive and well.
