A powerhouse collaboration arrives on Defected as BLOND:ISH, Moby and Kiko Franco come together for ‘Natural Blues’. A bona fide talent with many strings to her bow, BLOND:ISH has emerged as one of this generation’s most acclaimed electronic artists. Teramo native Ben Kim returns to Defected with a remix of the London label favourite, ‘Freak Like Me’ by Lee Walker vs. DJ Deeon. Since his Beatport chart-topping rework of Jefferson Airplane’s ‘Somebody To Love’ in 2021, Ben Kim has become one of the tech-house scene’s most promising artists, with releases across tastemaker imprints Nervous, Kaluki and Club Sweat. Ben Kim now returns to the London label with a remix of the Defected classic ‘Freak Like Me’; the 2016 release began as an edit by UK producer Lee Walker, who reworked DJ Deeon’s Dance Mania OG from the 90s. Lee’s version gave the raw vocal a deep, rolling groove, stripping it down to turn it into a major dancefloor weapon which received remixes and major support from artists like Jamie Jones and Carl Cox. The good friends and frequent collaborators Grigoré and Serve Cold are on a roll with the London label in 2025; their smash hit ‘Dancing’ with Jaguar Jaguar made waves in June, topping the Beatport Afro House chart, appearing on Defected’s coveted In The House Ibiza 2025 compilation and reaching four million streams in under two months. International producer, DJ and tastemaker Melé presents ‘So High’ with UK rapper Jords and multi-faceted producer Wonky Logic, the first single from his forthcoming Defected LP. The Club Bad founder is known for his high energy and percussive house sound, lighting up dancefloors around the world from his native UK to his newfound home of Miami. Melé has built a strong relationship with house institution Defected Records, most recently headlining their sold-out fabric London show in February 2026, while also playing at their flagship parties in Croatia, Malta and Ibiza for many years. ‘So High’ heralds the release of his upcoming LP with the label later in 2026, with this first single spotlighting Melé’s love for hip-hop alongside Jords, an established London rapper whose flow has recently featured on records with J Clu, Kobie Dee and Marie Dahlstrom. Also bringing his prowess to the release is Wonky Logic, a London-based multi-instrumentalist who has worked closely with artists like Nala Sinephro and Nubya Garcia, as well as performing and recording with Nightmares on Wax, K.O.G and Yellow Days. Fresh from a summer of smashing the Ibiza club circuit, Australian born star Sonny Fodera shows no signs of slowing down, as he returns with this two-track release on Defected. Taken from Fodera’s debut solo album ‘Frequently Flying’, the opening track is a new remix from Qubiko. The remix was originally part of Defected’s collaboration with Relentless Energy drink, but the track was sounding so good we thought it deserved its own release outright. Here the Italian artist lends his signature bouncing basslines and feel-good sound to the track, making it destined for the dancefloor. In comparison, Fodera’s own production sounds more stripped back, his rolling house sounds paired with the greater focus on Shannon Saunders’ stunning vocals and the melodic piano, make for a track that has both club appeal and emotional depth.
