detobenson16 : Liv was in the bullpen, finishing up her report on the interview she and Elliott had just conducted. Yawning loudly, she stretched and groaned as a couple of vertebra popped into place. Seeing her coffee mug was empty, she made her way over to refill it.
CPerrinsS : Melinda was just stepping out of Cragen's office. She was delivering an autopsy report for a case. She spotted Olivia and headed over to her.

CPerrinsS : Melinda went to the counter and ordered a large pie with extra cheese. She got Liv's Diet Coke and a water for herself. She walked back to the table and placed the drinks down. "Here you go" she placed the soda in front of the detective.

CPerrinsS : She took the plate and added some garlic powder to her slice. She took a small bite which was too hot. She grabbed her water and took a big gulp. "Wow didn't think it would be that hot." She was fanning her mouth with her hand.

She shrugged a little and sighed. "It wasn't meant to be. Maybe it's for the best, I hardly had the best example of a mother growing up."

detobenson16 : She lay her head on Melinda's shoulder. "Oh, I'm too old to be thinking of having a baby and the State of New York has deemed me unfit to adopt. So..." She shrugged a little and sighed. "It wasn't meant to be. Maybe it's for the best, I hardly had the best example of a mother growing up."
CPerrinsS : Melinda turned so she was facing Liv. She lifted her chin and looked into her eyes. "You have such a kind and generous heart, she placed her palm against the detective's heart. Any child would be lucky to have you as a parent."
detobenson16 : She smiled softly. "Thanks, Mel....maybe some day I can foster, but with the way I work, the state was right. I can't take care of a small child with my lifestyle." Olivia didn't lift her head. "This is becoming one of my favorite places to be."
CPerrinsS : Melinda smiled and hugged Olivia closer. She placed a small kiss on her forehead. "So are you nervous about meeting Angela?"
detobenson16 : Olivia thought about it for a moment, then nodded. "Yeah, this is almost like going home to meet the parents. I wonder if she will hate me or resent me or if she will ask embarrassing questions."
CPerrinsS : Melinda laughed at the comparison. "Probably all three, she already feels that way about me."
detobenson16 : "Oh, baby, I doubt that she hates you." Olivia reached for Melinda's hand and held it between her own. "She's probably just confused. She's dealing with her own hormones stirring about and then her Mom comes out of the closet after being straight all her life...confusing for her I bet."
CPerrinsS : Melinda was grateful for the contact. "I can understand that here, she tapped a finger to her head, but my heart has trouble with it. I don't like all the tension between us. She sighed but I know she just needs time."
detobenson16 : "Yeah, probably." She looked up and kissed her cheek. Her eyes closed and she yawned just a bit. "Mmm...I could sit here and sleep in your arms."
CPerrinsS : "Awwww poor baby you're really worn out. Do you have to go back to the station or are you done for the night?"
detobenson16 : She yawned again and opened her eyes. "I should go back, but now that I've eaten, I can barely stay awake."
CPerrinsS : "Why don't you let me drive you home, you need to get some sleep. I'll even tuck you in", she grinned.
detobenson16 : She started to protest and decline, but she was exhausted. She nodded and called Cragen. They talked briefly and she pressed off. "I'm all yours."
CPerrinsS : Melinda stood from the booth and held out her hand for Liv to take. "Come on I'll take real good care of you", she waggled her eyebrows.
detobenson16 : She left the tip on the table and got up, taking Melinda's hand in hers. "I'm sure you will." She smirked as she laced their fingers together.
CPerrinsS : She led the detective out of the pizza place. "My car isn't too far, you gonna be able to make it?" She hugged her closer to her body, the wind was starting to pick up.
detobenson16 : "Mmhmm, but I like you being this close." She smirked and slipped her arm around Melinda's waist. "You are going to spoil me."
CPerrinsS : She was enjoying being this close to Olivia. She always felt safe whenever she was around her. "I think everyone deserves to be spoiled every now and then." Melinda unlocked the passenger side of the car for Olivia and held the door open.
detobenson16 : "Thank you." She grinned and sat in the seat, almost moaning as she got situated in the comfy seat. She leaned her head back and smiled when Melinda got in the car.
CPerrinsS : Melinda buckled her seat belt and adjusted her mirrors before starting the car. She looked over at Liv and noticed her watching her. "See something you like detective", she purred.
detobenson16 : Her smiled widened and she nodded. "I believe I do. Just how much I like what I see may have to wait for a bit though. I'm afraid that as soon as I lay my head down, I'm going to be out like a light."
CPerrinsS : Melinda blushed at the compliment. "I know Liv I'm just messing with you." She covered the hand that was resting on her thigh and gave a quick squeeze.
detobenson16 : She kissed her cheek, letting it linger for a moment before pulling back. "You know I enjoy spending time with you. In fact, I hope you will stay and take a nap with me."
CPerrinsS : She nuzzled her cheek into the kiss. "That's the best offer I've had all day and I'd be a fool not to accept."
detobenson16 : She smiled and lay her head on the beautiful doc's shoulder and let her eyes close as the motion of the car lulled her into a half asleep state.
CPerrinsS : Melinda eased the car in and out of traffic. She was surprised how light it was given the time of night. She enjoyed the weight of Olivia's head on her shoulder. She knew that they were growing closer and she was enjoying spending time with the detective. She found a parking space close to Liv's building, she turned off the car and turned to her sleeping companion. She brought her lips to her ear and softly whispered "Liv, wake up."
detobenson16 : Liv groaned and nuzzled her shoulder, then her eyes fluttered open. "Hmmm?" She blinked her eyes and yawned again.
CPerrinsS : Melinda chuckled half asleep Liv was adorable. "You're home sleeping beauty."
detobenson16 : She blushed a little and straightened in her seat and unbuckled the seat belt. "Wow, I didn't mean to fall asleep on you...sorry." She gave Melinda a sheepish grin.
CPerrinsS : "That's ok Liv I know how tired you are. She got of the car and opened the door for her. Come on let's get you upstairs and all tucked in."
detobenson16 : Getting out of the car, she put her arm around Melinda and squeezed her close. "Mmmm...a long, long nap with you is just what I need."
CPerrinsS : She returned the hug and gave her a quick kiss on the lips. They made their way into the building and headed to the elevator.
detobenson16 : She returned the kiss as they entered the elevator and rode up to her apartment. Once inside, she began shedding clothes as she made her way directly to the bedroom. She wasn't going to bother with sleeping in anything and turned back the bed as she rid herself of everything but her panties.
CPerrinsS : Melinda followed Olivia into her apartment and watched her walk down the hall to her bedroom. She followed the trail of clothes. When she reached the bedroom door she smirked and the detective's state of undress. She quickly shed her clothes as well.
detobenson16 : She slipped into bed and scooted over to her side and turned to watch Melinda. "If I wasn't so tired, I would be horny by now."
CPerrinsS : Melinda threw her head back and laughed. "I'm glad you are enjoying the show. Next time when you aren't so tired I will give you a proper striptease." She climbed into bed and snuggled into Liv's embrace.
detobenson16 : She grinned and leaned in to kiss her deeply, then she pulled back looking into Melinda's eyes. "I'm growing quite fond of you, you know." She teased her gently.
CPerrinsS : Melinda deepened the kiss, enjoying the feel of Olivia's lips. "The feeling is mutual detective", she teased back poking her in the ribs.
detobenson16 : Olivia propped up over Melinda and caressed her cheek, her expression more serious. "It's true Melinda...I'm glad we are..what we are...friends, lovers."
CPerrinsS : Melinda thought about what they were to each other before she answered. "I guess you could say that we are both."
detobenson16 : She settled back again and held her lover closer. "Mmhmm...and I so enjoy it."
CPerrinsS : She snuggled into her embrace. "I do too Liv. It's been a long time since I've allowed myself to feel this way about another women."
detobenson16 : She smiled as her eyes fluttered closed, unable to keep them open. "I'm glad," was her wispy reply.
CPerrinsS : Melinda chuckled and placed a small kiss to Liv's cheek. She whispered goodnight and closed her eyes.
