[Nathan paces in front of the many screens in Caligin's office, waiting for the remaining inhabitants to report to him. they'll note that none of the picture frames remain in the office. at all. once they all arrive, he immediately launches into his spiel. he doesn't seem to have the same vigor as he did when he first turned up to send the others home. in fact, he seems rather strained and tired but plows through everything anyway.]

By my calculations, his transmission was coming from this sector of nearby space. [he taps one of the screens, highlighting a cluster of a planets orbiting a sun about the same size and color as Earth's.] Thankfully, there aren't too many planets here in the Eta System--only five, and only four are habitable. [he points out which ones are, ignoring the one planet closest to the sun, Eta.] There are a couple neighboring solar systems around there that he might try to flee to, but chances are, uh, that he hasn't quite made it that far even if he has escaped from this particular system. No ships in this time period can possibly make a trip that quickly. The technology isn't advanced enough for such things.

[he pauses for a second, heading over to a printer which has been spitting out copies of the coordinates and other details about the planets in the Eta system. silence falls during that moment, but then he suddenly looks up as if he's forgotten something.] Oh! Uh, speaking of travel, everything should be all done with the transport I wanted to provide for you. So your, er, TARD-IS should be back together again and completely functional. [turns to the other group] And I've arranged for a vessel from one of your worlds to appear in the lower level's docking bay. The on-board AI is probably a bit confused about the change in venue, so insert this data and it'll get it up to speed about this galaxy. [holds a data chip out to Croix and Wash as he passes out the copies] And I have one for your ship as well if it needs it. [hands it off as he passes copies to Jamie, Xion, and the Doctor]

That should be it! The CATs should be able to work outside the lab, but do not, under any circumstances, lose them. They're my only means of contacting you--and you contacting each other and Ichijou here in the lab. And I'd advise not using them in public. The people in the Eta System... [sighs, shaking his head] Just trust me. I don't want you getting separated from each other in case the fans get too crazy. I think you've all seen the comments by now... [gestures to a stack of papers on Caligin's desk] All of you are galactic stars of varying degrees, especially to those in the Eta system. Their level of dedication can be...scary. So just be careful.

[he looks like he wants to take a seat, but settles for leaning against the desk] Ah, and one last thing! All of the planets should have atmosphere and gravity comparable to this station, so you won't have to worry about, you know, breathing. There are some space suits down in the docking bay if you want to bring one just in case. [though he doubts the guy in the armor has to worry about that]

Contact me if you need anything or get into trouble. Just...don't call to shoot the breeze or anything, though. I have a job to do too.

❧ Plot Details: Off-Season 1

Welcome to those who have chosen to stay in the Luministi world! I'll try not to be too long with this. Basically, we have two, technically three, teams. One team consists of the Jamie, Xion, and the Doctor using the TARDIS to travel to these planets. Team two is Croix and Wash using a Longsword to cover the ground the other team isn't covering. And team three, or home base, is Ichijou. He'll be taking care of the lab and everything while everyone is gone. If people want to stop back in and regroup and all that fun stuff in the lab, go ahead. It's the base of operations for things in the off-season.

With off-season things, go ahead and post them here in the comm. Just use the "#off-season" tag for posts (and I'll be sure to throw that same tag into the log comm if people want to do things there.). The CATs will enable all teams to keep in touch with each other, as well as allow each team to go off on their own and do things.

Like Nathan said, the nearest system is the Eta System. It's logistically the closest one as the others are...a fair good distance away, so for now, we'll be hanging around the Eta System, which looks like this.

Yes, those planet names are for real.

See...Nathan wasn't kidding when he said the people of the Eta System were dedicated. When they first came to terraform and colonize these planets, they decided to name them in reference to ancient Earth icons and famous things that have effected the lives of humankind since the early 20th century.

Here's a quick rundown of the planets:

Eta-60510 / Survivor

Uninhabited, but named for the one and only reality show that dared to try to live on there. That painfully short season effectively ended the longest running series on galactic television when all involved went there and died. A monument would have been erected in their honor in the tribal area, but...Eta government officials thought it best just to seal off the planet and name it after the ill-fated show.

Eta-90210 / Gaga Rah-Rah-Rah

Fashion central of the Eta system--and very experimental. (And we mean "experimental" in all senses of the art and science worlds.) Bodily mutation and modification as a fashion statement is common. (This includes even having swappable heads and limbs of organic and non-organic origins.)

Eta-00042 / Hyne-Savage

Most inhabited planet of the system, with 75% of its surface covered with tall, vast cities. Central hub of the Eta System and also the most in habited planet. The system seat of government is located here and still relies on Earth's government for things, but the Eta Central Government (or ECG for short) can largely do its own things so long as it stays in the rules from the Earth. Yeah for colony governments! Oh yes, that other 25% of the planet's land? Is dedicated to the daily mass explosions that sound off the start of a new day.

Eta-51212 / Fremercury

Largely used as a vacation planet. There are resorts and sparkling beaches, and deep, lush forests to get lost in. People occasionally go missing, but that's normal...isn't it? It might not--hey, look at the pretty musical statues! The planet also doubles as a memorial for all lost icons, both ancient and in recent times. It's a pretty, peaceful, and tranquil place... Really.

Eta-51411 / Jailhouse Rock

This prison planet is a desolate waste on the outside, but inside the rather ugly, uninviting buildings, the most dangerous criminals in the Eta system are taught how to play instruments and are thrown regular parties. The morale is surprisingly high considering that inmates will not be allowed to leave once they arrive...

So yes, beyond that, HAVE FUN and go wild with whatever you'd like to include. Things can be as dangerous or as safe as you want them to be--and that goes for the fans/NPC inhabitants of the planets too.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

One last thing. I'm thinking of doing a comm-wide post for ALL members--including those who went home--next month. I'm thinking towards the end of the month, so, would people be interested in one sometime between Christmas and New Year's? Let me know what you think!

(And if people want to ask IC questions to Nathan? Go ahead and do so! He won't be staying around for long, so threads will be short, but in case you have any for him, don't hesitate to ask!)

That's all from me for now~ Just so you know...I'm thankful for each and every one of you sticking with the game. ♥!

Happy Thursday, everyone!

Anyone and everyone she talked to, all the people she met here -- She wants to meet with them, talk to them, find out if they're staying or leaving, say good-bye if it's the latter. Unlike last time, though, her spirits are higher. She can stay. She can stay and still be helpful, still search for the answers they've been looking for, stay and live, really live.

She's also searching for one person in particular. She has something to ask him -- to ask of him, to inform him of something, and she... Part of her is hopeful. Part of her is nervous. Another part of her... feels like she can't ask this of him. She shouldn't ask him to stay for her. She knows she's asking for Nathan, but that's what it feels like. She feels like she doesn't have the right to ask that of him. If he has something important to do at home, then she has no right at all. (If he has something important to do at home, and says no, then...) Xion takes a deep breath and lets it out. At the same time, she has to ask. She has to know. She has to find out for herself.

So, Luministi. How about one last conversation with Xion?]

There's a few things that were left behind that he needs to fetch, like his claymore. And maybe a few other small things that he's kept as mementos of his trip here. He doesn't know if they'll come with him or not, but he wants to try. However, once he steps through the door, he finds himself wandering through the different rooms, rather than immediately collecting his things. It's funny, he thinks. When he had come here, everything was unknown to him. The technology, the people - the man calling himself the Doctor, who didn't look a thing like the funny little man he had just said goodbye to on the moors of Scotland. None of it made any sense. And when the dreams had started, it had made everything even more strange. All those bits of a life he no longer remembered living...for a bit, he thought he was going mad.

He remembers it now, though. Or, well, most of it. Enough that he can recall his adventures with the Doctor easily. All the beasties they fought, all the times they had to live on their wits, and all the people he had come to meet as well. Ben and Polly, who thought of him a bit like a little brother that was always getting into trouble. Beautiful Victoria, who had broken his heart when she left. And clever Zoe, with her head for figures and an impulsive streak to rival his own. Zoe, who was now back home, like he was supposed to be, and without her memories too. What would happen to his memories, when he left? Would Sophie's socks survive the journey and help them stay put? Or would they slip away from him again, leaving him like he was before?

Standing in front of the viewscreen in his living room, he looks at it, or more accurately, through it. He's not really seeing it. Instead, he's thinking about Nathan's offer. The man needs help, and what does he have to go back to? A life on the run, captured or killed by the English? A life without the Doctor? Without realizing it, the CAT's flickered to life during his trip through the townhouse, and if anyone's actually watching, they might see the indecision on his face as he tries to figure out what to do - and when he finally does speak.]

Maybe it'd not be so bad, if I stayed here instead.

((OOC note: For reference, the thread with the Doctor is occurring last, chronologically.))

The observation room is walled off with glass. But unlike the last time a number of residents saw this room, Dr. Caligin is not inside waiting for them. The room is quite empty, actually.

On the other side of the room, Nathan suddenly appears again, donning a dark suit. Like before, he sounds slightly strained, like he's exerting a great deal of energy to keep moving but is trying to keep that fact hidden. He greets them with a small smile before immediately heading over to pick up the picture frames that had fallen onto the ground.]

Sorry, I just need...hold on. [he takes a moment to finish picking them up, clutching the frames to his chest] Sorry about that. These are--never mind. [he adjusts his hold on them] Anyway, you found the lab! I had a feeling it was here, and boy, I'm glad you were able to find that key. Audrey had left it in my care when--oh, I need to get her once I get you home. She should be okay resting in the clinic for a while longer...

[he hurries over to the messy desk, carefully depositing the frames and hastily arranging them somewhat neatly. but then he looks up, a somewhat grave look in his tired, dark eyes] But there is a problem. I need to find Filippo Resarci. He's my only connection to finding the person ultimately responsible for everything you've gone through. If I don't find either of them, there's a possibility you will be pulled from your homes yet again. I know many of you wish to go home, but with Audrey in her current state, I can't risk using her again for the time being and... I guess what I'm trying to say is that I need someone to stay behind. It'll be temporary, and I promise I will get you home, just...not as soon as the others.

If you wish to go home, I've turned the life support back on in the town so you can go get your belongings. Well, I guess that goes for those who wish to stay, too. And I think I've finally got things reconfigured so the proper layout of the lab is back in place. [he looks at the lab door; a bit sheepishly] Er, with one exception, but I'll fix that later. You just need to go out these door and all the way down the hallway to the elevator. It'll bring you back to the observation deck and you can go back into town the normal way.

Just to warn you, though...I did encounter some problems in town, too. For some reason, certain things are still in town and around the spacestation, like this giant windmill and a temple. I don't exactly know why they're still there, but I think if you go home, they should go with you. I think. That's my theory, anyway...

But yes. [he shifts, wincing a bit] Um, I'll give you some time to think about things amongst yourselves. We have some time. Come back here once you're ready to go home or if you want to stay. I'll be waiting.

❧ Plot Details: The End is the Beginning is the End

And here we are at the end of another eventful season! Season Two was pretty darn awesome, guys. Thank you so much staying with the game until the end, despite having to push back the end date. I'll have to keep that in mind for next year since this season and last season ran a bit longer than planned... Oops.

Now, back to what Nathan said... Well, here's where things get interesting. You have a choice: do you send your character home? Or do you have them stay in the universe through to the time the next season starts? So you know, there can be more than one person who stays and helps Nathan. (He'll be surprised there'd be more than one person, but hey, he's not going to turn down the extra help!)

If your character goes home, you'll still go back to the very canon point you left, and you will be able to keep your memories of your time in the town--but you'll only remember them in your dreams. Your time in Luministi will be all you dream about, and man, those dreams will be vivid. And like most dreams, when you wake, you won't be able to recall details to well, but every now and then, a name, a smell, etc will stick out. How your character deals with the dreams is up to you.

If your character stays, you will be subject to a universe that has an extremely fanatical obsession with you. What Filippo discussed with Ichijou about was the complete truth. Sure, it was highly demented and morally wrong to do what was done to the people in town, but the fact remains that each and every character is loved by some part of the galaxy! (And of course, there are other parts who don't care for you at all, but why dwell on the negative?) You'll also find that while there are still 12 months in a year, the rest of the galaxy believes there are 38 days per month. (When and how they came to this decision, well, it's all in the past, really.) The current year is 546 SSC (Standard Solar Calendar) and everyone operates in standard solar time (which, fortunately for everyone, is still 24 hours in a day, though it wasn't always the case). Other than that, the universe is pretty much the same as ours. It just...has a weird obsession with TV... So those of you who don't want to go home, well, you won't have to.

But regardless of your decision, things are going to be different. If you went home and go to that location/object that appeared in the town during the "Wind of Change" plot, you'll feel...like something is missing. The place isn't quite right and it'll probably be a little unsettling, or mysterious. Depends on how your character handles absence. And if you stay, well, naturally you'll feel nostalgic for home, if you're the type to give into nostalgia. Also...if you have ever traveled in time before, you may feel a bit...off now. (And this will be the case for anyone with time travel experience who comes into the game next season too.) Those who are inherently time-sensitive will be able to feel it even more, like something is going with time itself, but the farther you go away from the town, the less you'll be able to feel it.

Like last year, you got the best possible ending for this season! Congratulations! What led to the best ending, you might be asking yourself right now? WELL! Basically, to get this ending, you needed to discover certain bits of information about Filippo Resarci (both in the maze and from him during the most recent plot) as well as find Proctor and Audrey (though in Proctor's case, the other part of that goal was not to kill him outright when he was found.) Things would have turned out differently if you hadn't achieved all four objectives in the maze. Also, if you had killed Proctor (and/or Audrey), things would have turned out differently for the future. It came close with him, but he said all he needed to before escaping.

But things would have been very different if something else hadn't happened. You would have gotten a fairly bad end if you weren't able to break the right two objects in town at the end of the murder plot. If you hadn't succeeded, you wouldn't have been able to break into the rest of the spacestation and would have continued to be subject to the whims of the town and the plan to break out would have been set back another month or more--if at all. Proctor DID wait for Audrey to expose herself, after all, and he would have outright killed her. Why he DID stay his hand in the end...well. I'm sure we'll find out sometime.

But that is just one of many questions left to answer...and only one more season of the game left. Fortunately, we did found out some things! Like Plan B was the selling of the lab right out from under Caligin's feet. And "PL" turned out to be "Program: Luministi", and from the sounds of it, it was the television program name. And as for who was running things in the town, well. For the most part, it was Filippo Resarci, son of Ernesto Resarci who had sold the lab to his own company at the end of the first season. But through discussion with him, Filippo revealed that while he largely did things to keep his client and benefactor happy (and any monetary gains that were made went to the company and program, but not the client/benefactor for some reason), that client did have a hand in things for the maze. Oh, and that exact same person was Man in Black that everyone has encountered directly before coming to the town.

That still leaves us with many questions that still need answering. Like:

How were people able to communicate with others in the 4th wall?

Where's Proctor now?

Who was Proctor speaking to in this secret video?

Where's Filippo?

Where's the rest of the NPCs?

Who is the Man in Black?

Who is Nathan? And why does he have to find the Man in Black?

Why will people still be able to be brought to this universe even though an important component was destroyed?

How were things moved around so easily in the lab without anyone knowing it? (The same question can be applied to the maze and pretty much every event.)

Why are the time travelers and time-sensitives feeling a bit odd?

Why haven't the bits from everyone's homes disappeared?

Why is there a door that only appears once for people in Lab #4?

Why was Willis in pain after stepping on his photo?

...Yeah, that's a lot of questions, huh? Believe it or not, we will find out the answer to all of those next season.

But do you have any questions about this season? Other things that aren't on the list there? I might not be able to answer them now depending on what it is, but I can definitely add it to my list of things that need to be answered!

And speaking of next season, I have a couple questions for you all (aside from wondering if your character will go home or not!)

What sort of things would you like to see next season? Like event-wise and things that'll happen to the characters?

Because of the summer-time nature of the game, we'll never be able to do anything Christmasy during the season. But I'm wondering...would you like to do a Christmastime 4th wall event? (I haven't quite decided if it'll belong in the game canon (like our previous 4th wall) or not.)

Would you like to do a special pre-season event in March? This one won't be a 4th wall and definitely will count towards game canon, and yes, you'll be able to participate in it no matter what decision you make for your character.

Like last season, I'll contact you (most likely through PM to your character's journal) to let you know exactly when the game will start up again. I am thinking of early May again, but I haven't quite pinned down an exact date yet. So start thinking about whether you want to canon update your character or not! You'll only have this opportunity if you go home, though. If you stay, you won't have this chance. Keep in mind that a canon update can be a huge leap in time, or even mere seconds ahead in their time--but it's all up to you. Also, I won't require any current players to resubmit your application prior to the start of the third season. I'll probably do what I did for returning players for this season: I just asked to see if you had canon updated and what sort of changes that made in your character's history. Some people did add to their applications and adjust things in the personality section and such to reflect the change in canon point, but I'm not going to require you do that. If you decide to stay, I'll probably ask for a brief description about what your character did in the meantime, whether they worked with Nathan or stayed in the town/spacestation during that time.

And that...should do it for this season! I'll be putting up an entry for your "exits" from the game right after this one (and that entry is here!), but please feel free to do your own entries to talk with other characters and such. You can always go back to the "exit" entry (and you can also speak with Nathan there, but don't feel like you have to have made your decision to leave/stay when you do.)

So that is it from me! If you have any questions, I'm always contactable here, through email, PM to this mod journal, my characters' journals, or my personal one, as well as Plurk (both the my own and the mod one.) And I'll be available to you in the off-season, as well, if you have any questions about the game universe or anything!

Thanks again, everyone, for a wonderful season and I look forward to seeing you all back for season three! ♥!

[the first thing people will hear when they arrive in the room with Croix and Wash is loud classical music from the same composer Caligin used to listen to (though that detail may only strike a few.) but the music is a small detail in this room. many will recognise the cold, forbidding room as one they've seen in secret transmissions sent to them via CAT. all lavishness has left it, however. none of the refinery remains except for individual pictures of each and every resident (past and current) left hanging on the wall opposite the collective of screens. all chairs--the two set in front of the screens and the one behind the desk--are empty.

the person of interest is sadly missing.

however, set in the corner of the room behind the desk is a door that stands out from the rest of the room, mostly because its decoration doesn't match the room. but it does with the other labs--and its name "LAB #3" can be seen. congratulations! the lab awaits you!

or does it? if anyone tries the door, they'll find that it's locked. at least this door has a doorknob, even though it doesn't turn.

but suddenly, the music cuts out and the screens flickering into life. the sneering face of the young man in charge of things looms across the many screens set alongside the office wall. there isn't much to see behind him, unfortunately; just a black, leather-like cushion. clearly, he's not entirely amused by this turn of events.]

So, I see you've all made it. [his lips twitch] I was promised quite the show, but overall, I'd have to give your performance a B-. None of you even died! Now that doesn't make good entertainment, now does it? We came close, though. How fitting two of you nearly died for a second time. And we did have some incidents of people disappearing for a time... No matter!

But oh, I can see from your faces that you just want to go home. "Boo hoo! I want to go home to mommy! I just want to see Insert-Loved-One-Or-Pet-Here again. Boo hoo hoo hoo..." [he pouts, wiping fake tears from his eyes. a split second later, his expression is cold and filled with contempt] I think not. You are far too valuable to be allowed to leave. Besides, an entire galaxy is enamored with you! And--[he lets out a little laugh]--you've all made me a lovely bunch of cash as well.

Now you must be wondering, "My goodness, why is he saying all of this?! Aren't the viewers going to hear and write in nasty comments and boycott the sponsors?" Well, the answer's fairly simple: the cameras don't always have to run. The moment you all entered the room, we ended "the season". Talk about a cliffhanger, eh? Mystery and intrigue, and ohh, you all are so damn fascinating! That trick with the things from your worlds coming here? So, so very surprising and we've had lots of requests to manufacture playsets of them, though I do feel that some won't be as marketable as others. No one would want to buy a stupid blue box, after all, unless you wanted one as a shed. But I have plans for you all.

[he leans forward, a smirk slowly spreading across his lips] Would you like to hear them? Or are you too busy trying to figure out how to open that door? Tell you what. Let's have a little chat--you and me. Who's first? Keep in mind I have a busy schedule, so I'll have to keep this brief. And if I tire of you, well, I have ways of quieting you. I'm not above cutting your air supply! And I can, too, if you keep me waiting. [but really, he's doing it for his own entertainment.]

❧ Plot Details: Something To Talk About **Quick-time Event**

Congratulations on making it through the maze! I hope you guys had fun--I know I had a blast, even though I felt bad when I had to send people back to the start... Like, really felt bad. But! We accomplished all four objectives!!!!

Here's what they were, in order of most important to least(ish):

Getting through the maze and reaching the upper level, and finding Lab #3.

Finding Audrey.

Finding information on the man in charge, aka the CEO, aka Filippo Resarci.

And last, finding Proctor.

And man, can I tell you how happy I am that we did? Ahhh, I'm so really glad it worked out! And if anyone is interested in seeing the map, this is what I was working with. Does it look familiar to anyone? But yes, for the most part, I had certain rules for the maze. It was a 50/50 chance in most rooms to get the right door or not. If you didn't, you were sent back to start. However, the doors weren't randomly ordered, and the right door didn't shift around or anything. (That'd just get confusing for me too, in the end.) And in essence, each 'team' had their own versions of the maze. Like no one going into the town square would find it half-flooded, like it had during Croix and Wash's time there, but if they were sent back to start? Yeah, they'd have to wade through that water again. This also kept teams from running into one another and you all were able to discover things about the maze as you went along.

Oh, also, for those of you who got to the Botanical Gardens. Do you remember that saying on the wall, "The past is the road to the present and onwards to the future."? The truth is, that was my way of giving you a guys a solution to the maze. It's actually quite literal. If you take the main events from the past--in this case, those in the first season since I didn't want to make it too long--then you would have your path for proceeding through the maze! I'm pretty curious to hear what other people thought it meant. One person actually got pretty damn close with it!

But looking back at the objectives, though, what has happened to Audrey since Sophie left her in the clinic? And where did Proctor go after his chat with Mu and Natsuo? Hmmm...

Anyway, your goal for this final mini-plot, before the end post goes up (and I can reveal <s>all</s> some fun stuff), is to find the key to Lab #3. And take advantage of the time to have a bit of a conversation with Filippo as well! And...you might want to, or else he's liable to kill you slowly. (Really, what a jerk.) He could easily be lying about the cameras being off--and yes, there are cameras set around the room, some visible and some hidden. He could also just decide to screw with you while everyone is searching, especially with the way the maze was with people... We'll continue to do the search text-adventure style (you can continue to do it how you were; I just need to know specifics about what you are doing so I can react accordingly), and meanwhile, conversations can continue as normal~! For a quick reference, here's the coding <s>that I completely forgot to put in in the last post and kept forgetting to do like the genius I am</s> if you'd like to use it and won't have to keep typing all the time!

<font face="courier"></font>

But yes, once the key is found, that's it! Just like last year (and the previous post) I'll answer the last of tags I have in this post, but then I'll put up the final post for this season and officially end this season! I figure we'll keep things to this post! If you want to threadhop and such, I'll allow it! But definitely don't pass up the chance to talk to Filippo. (And if someone wants to keep a list of places that have been checked in the room, please do!)

If you have any questions/comments/concerns, you can still make them here! Have fun, guys!

Once the key has been found, I'll update this:

Status of the Key:
FOUND!

When the alarm sounds, immediately go through the door and await the next signal.

[surely such a text is confusing, but the sender hopes those words are heeded. ten minutes after it's sent, all vidscreens in the town begin to flash red, and a wailing siren breaks the din. the only word that flashes on screen is:]

<blink>EVACUATE</blink>

[similarly, back in the spacestation, red flashing lights drop down from the ceiling and a constant, beeping alarm begins to ring. over this, a pleasant and feminine automated voice says:]

Please find the nearest exit and evacuate the station via escape pod. A distress signal has been sent to the closest galactic space authority. Those with small children are asked to--[but this message is interrupted with another]

Life support systems in sectors A through L are at 80%--65%--50%. Life support failure in sectors A through L is imminent. Warning, please evacuate sectors A through L immediately. Warning...

[the automated voice continues with warnings about those sectors--but oddly enough, nothing is wrong in the spacestation itself. no one is evacuating, and in fact, no one can be seen fleeing from the town. the only people who should be in the station are the residents, if they all heeded the text message's warning and went through their respective doors at the right time. all doors brought everyone back to the observation deck, near the first hallway that used to lead to the Mayor's house.

suddenly, Nathan's device begins to chime and an audio message from him begins to play. (oddly enough, the automated voice's warning messages soften, like the volume's been turned down.]

Oh good, you made it out safe! I didn't think that person would...[he trails off] Anyway! I've had a bit of help and I think I can finally get you out of there. I'm sorry though, but I can't get you back into town. I had to shut off life support there to distract those in charge, but I also managed to open up access to the lower level. I can't find the staircases, but the elevator should be working now, so you'll have to use that. This is your chance, everyone! Find the one responsible for this mess and find Lab #3. Contact me if you need me.

[the audio transmission ends. a moment later, there's a soft "ding" as the elevator set behind the Maintenance door in the nearby hallway opens, ready for occupants to board it.

shame it won't be a simple elevator ride.]

❧ Plot Details: Life's An Adventure **Quick-time Event**

Thank goodness everyone (hopefully) got out in time! Staying in town during that life support shutdown would have been...unfortunate (and if anyone DID want to stay behind during that? Let me know.) But who sent that helpful text if it wasn't Nathan? Was it Audrey? Was it someone else? Was Nathan just pulling a fast one? In any case, now everyone can move on to, well, the final level if we take it in RPG terms.

Funny that though...

For this quick-time event, we are going to keep things to this entry. You'll be given a choice of going up or down in the elevator. Actually...just about every action in this plot is based around choice, and fittingly too. Depending on how much you discover during this plot--there are four objectives that can possibly be fulfilled (and they don't all have to be by every person)--the outcome will shape the end of this plot, the game, and next season as well. I'll have a list at the bottom of this entry so people can easily see how many objectives have been completed. You'll only have a week! Keep in mind that only one objective--the main one--has to be accomplished by week's end and things will not progress until it's accomplished. (If we accomplish the main one before the week is done, I will still wait the full week before going ahead with the second half of this plot.)

So what are we doing in this mad week-long event? Like I said before, you'll be given a choice of taking the elevator up or down. From there, you'll be given the another choice via vidscreen about which direction you want to go in. Sometimes it'll be two choices, other times it'll be three. But nonetheless, you'll have to make a choice--and you'll have to make the choice in the style of a text adventure. This is a bit of a hybrid rather than a straight text adventure, though. You can talk to people normally and interact with them as you would do in a normal action thread, but when you go to make your choice or wish to interact with the environment (you don't have to do it for every single step or anything), you'll basically be inputting your command to help the adventure to progress. If you don't ever interact with the environment or make a choice, well, you're stuck in that room. Kind of a boring adventure, being stuck in a room.

If this explanation isn't quite making sense, I did a mock-scenario of this to illustrate the hybrid/pseudo-text adventure I'm talking about. Head here! Hopefully that helps explain things? If it didn't, please, please don't be afraid to ask me. The first two comments to this entry will be for the IC interaction, and any additional ones can be for OOC comments/questions.

I do advise that while you can go in groups, please keep them small so we can go through things at a steady pace. Heck, if you want? You can even solo this and interact just with, well, me as the text adventure prompts, and then contact people if you find something. I just ask that if you want to solo it, that you indicate your intentions in the subject line to whichever direction you wish to go in the elevator.

Threadhopping via the CATs can still happen, especially if you or someone else learns something that might be important for the others to know. (Of course, if you want to join in physically, you can do it like this.) Also, I do recommend tracking your threads, especially when I pop in with prompts and disrupt the notification process. (And let's hope varnish errors are few to none!)

So...that's it! If you have any questions/comments/etc, leave them here or get a hold of me through the normal channels! And before I leave, here's our handy objectives list!

Objectives!

Objective #1 = Completed!

Objective #2 = Completed!

Objective #3 = Completed! I repeat, this is URGENT! and the very second the five minutes end, an audio message begins to play. Nathan's voice is slightly staticky and he sounds very rushed]

Someone knows I've been in the system trying to return things to how they were there, but they haven't caught me yet. Hah! Bastard thinks he can cut me off, huh? Well! I don't think he'll like that I've just managed to open up the entire upper level and locked him out at the same time!

[he lets out a loud sigh of relief] I don't know how long it'll last, but take the time now to get moving! You have to fight off the--

[but it's right then that the transmission is interrupted and cut. things suddenly change all over the spacestation and in town. how long will it be before anyone notices?]

❧ Plot Supplement Details: Everybody's Looking For Something

Uh oh, Nathan celebrated a bit too early, it seems! "He" must have found out and cut the transmission, and from the state everything is in now, well, it's a safe bet to assume that "he" isn't in a good mood.

Before I get into that, this particular transmission was intercepted by Hawk, courtesy of the AIM dice~ There are also two others who received things prior to this announcement and I'll let them say who they are! Their items will become very important for the latter half of this plot.

That is...if you choose to use them.

See, part of what was done was to take all those rooms and building entrances and...well, basically hit scramble. So if you're trying to get to the spacestation via the Mayor's House, you might go in the front door and turn up in the bakery! Try again and you might end up in the clinic this time! Basically, if you're trying to a different room/building, you're going to have to do some hopping to get to where you want to go! (Strangely, this doesn't work for bathrooms, nor will poking your head inside a closet/cupboard/pantry/etc enable you to 'trigger' the same thing.) I'm going to leave it up to you how difficult or easy it is for people to get around places.

In addition to that, well...let's just say those "dreams" and such that people have been creating aren't going to get any easier--at least without direct assistance. Now, there's no choice about whether something becomes real in this universe. It manifests here and boom, it's already filling out permanent residency forms. BUT! Nathan's other messages that happened off-screen had provided everyone with something that will help banish those dreams (as well as all real dream manifestations) for a short while. Yeah, it might be a short-ish amount of time, but that time off from one's dreams are better than none?

And besides...who says you want to rid yourself of those dreams if they've become real anyway...?

-------------------

And that is that for this plot supplement update! For those of you who might have missed it, the last Activity Check post of the season has been posted! It's super easy too~

Also, don't forget that Nathan has a voicemail that can be used for short conversations with him during this... (Contacting him won't count as your turn as a volunteer, by the by, if you haven't had your turn.)

If you have any questions at all about anything, don't be afraid to ask!

Sweet dreams, everyone~ ♥

Going in three--two--one--

[once he's done counting down, the device lights up with a somewhat grainy video of a now familiar minimalist room with expensive furniture. only this time, there's only one occupant in the room moving about somewhat aimlessly. he's talking on what appears to be a small headset resting in his ear and from his voice, he should be recognizable as the young man Proctor has argued with in the past]

--es sir, we're starting in just a few minutes. [he sits in a chair facing the multitude of screens on the wall, then stands, swivelling his chair a bit before he sits again and stretches, propping his feet up on the empty one next to his. he seems quite pleased with this arrangement] Oh, that? No, no, no...I have something far more interesting planned. Call it...a stroke of genius. They're going to love this far more than the other stunt we had planned.

[his tone shifts slightly; it's less cocky and more on the casually sinister side] After all, once they figured out how to turn the life supports back on, then they'd know what to do every time after that--and besides, they'd die relatively around the same time, and we can't afford that break in the programming. Oh sure, it'd cause a certain amount of distress and sorrow amongst those still alive to see their friends die, but it'd be short-lived! [he gestures with one hand absently] These days, the people want to see the suffering and the struggle and the bickering--and get their money's worth while they're at it, so it's got to be one hell of a show each and every time. People live for that type of real-life painful drama, the sick bastards. So I'm going to give them what they want--and I think you'll be more than pleased.

[he nods, pausing for a second to listen to someone else on the other line] No, I don't need his approval. That's always been more of a...formality. He likes to think he's in control of such things. [another pause and sets a data pad on the arm of his chair, a smirk on his lips] No. Not anymore.

[the video ends just as the young man taps something into a data pad. the screen of the device goes black and Nathan doesn't come back on]

❧ Plot Details: Dreams Don't Turn to Dust

And finally, the face of the other mysterious person in this party is revealed! This is...well, we didn't learn his name, did we? Don't know who he was talking to or referring to towards the end either. Curious. But as things tend to go, this isn't too much of a surprise, is it?

Now, the video transmission of that call can be seen by asking Mu (thank you AIM dice!) about it! According to my list, I have six other volunteers to get to with random items/messages, and I will be doing so in the next few weeks.

And speaking of that call, there are quite a few things Nathan was able to do thanks to this heads-up!

Places he opened up:

Lab #1. This is the a multi-purpose room meant for the study of various plants in space as they grow multitudes of produce for consumption (partially by the lab inhabitants but mainly for the town--hence all the fresh produce!)and is also a vast oxygen farm (though this is only a small part of it in the picture).

Lab #2. This is your standard futuristic chemistry (extremely, in this case) lab, which houses countless different instruments and chemicals (though the chemicals are wisely stored in ways that they are completely safe and won't react in a bad way if the station was hit by any meteors, asteroids, etc). Oddly, some of these chemicals are meant for the use in preservatives.

Lab #4. Essentially, this is a computer lab. But there are several computer terminals where the screens appear in front of you within that particular terminal. (Ignore the watermark >.>. Also, this was developed because a good deal of the scientists working in the lab liked to pace while they thought, so the screens will move with you as you walk in that area.) Unfortunately, the computers systems are down. Might have to do with rooms being shuffled around and such in the spacestation.

Various rooms in the first hallway. In the hallway leading from the Mayor's house to the observation deck, all the rooms there have opened, and...they're all pretty plain. There are a number of different conference rooms in various states of messiness (mainly with discarded camera equipment and stuff, chairs and tables shoved to the side, etc), the the room where Proctor met Caligin and the others before Nathan rescued them--aka, the break room. A couple games are in here, like the 20th century version of a hockey table and a foosball table, though these seem to be recent additions since they weren't in the video. Also, there is still a very faint red-brown tint on the ground thanks Iussus' wound. Also, there are a couple lavatories, and one door....well. This one door is special. It's labeled "Maintenance", but upon opening it, it reveals the double doors of an elevator--and the doors open with a pleasant ping. Go in it and you'll there aren't too many levels--though to be fair, the levels are HUGE and tall. There are four levels. The main floor (which is the current one), a sub-level and a maintenance level below that, and a second floor above the main. The elevator doesn't work, unfortunately, for a similar reason the computers in Lab #4 won't hook up to any of their information centers.

Fun times, huh? Nothing else has changed from the last plot, so all those fun bits from your home worlds? They're still there! And...they're going to play into this new plot rather fittingly.

Starting now, something is going to gradually make it difficult for the residents to distinguish between reality and their dreams. But dreams don't have to be the ones you have while you're asleep. They can be daydreams and fantasies, no matter how fantastical or horrific, or even fleeting thoughts of fancy--but you can control the dream and can banish it if you truly believe that it's a dream (though you're not going to be told that. That's something your character has to figure out on his/her own).

There is a catch...

The more the person believes something in the dream is real, the more of a chance it has to becoming real--at least for this first week of the plot. This means that different objects and such from your dream can slowly start to interact with other residents, but they have to be near you for this to happen. The objects of your dreams (which yes, can be other people from your world) can only function around you and you alone, so you won't have like...a Dalek show up across town from where the Doctor is to attack the Master. Now, if the Doctor was near him? Then yeah, that'd be a possibility. It's also a possibility that while the Doctor's dream!Dalek is attacking the Master, the Master could sic his dream!cheetah or dream!Toclafane on the Doctor. But not every dream has to be so...messed up like that. Your dreams could involve sunshine, flowers that sing, and rainbows that sprinkle Skittles on you every five minutes, and you've got bunnies wearing baskets to catch the Skittles and will now start to deliver them to people in range of you.

Really, this plot is very open-ended and you literally can do anything, but the question is, are you the type to get overwhelmed by your own dreams? Will you become so engrossed in your dreams that you'll have difficulty distinguishing reality from dreams? Will you begin to think Luministi is the dream to your dream's reality? This will depend on how astute your character is at such things. The cynical skeptic will do better (for a time) in this plot than the fanciful optimist/idealist, though no one is immune from everything forever.

I'm not going to put limits on you guys. You have complete free reign to do what you'd like. Just discuss any potential fights/encounters with other players or give a general heads-up that things might happen. Feel free to use this entry to discuss what you'd like to do!

-----------

And before I end this, I am putting the last Activity Check up tomorrow in the OOC comm. However, because it is the last of the season, and I did this last season, the requirements are going to be...

....[lets suspense build]...

...very simple~! I only want you to check in with me so I know you're in for the end of the season. We're getting close to the end, everyone! And with this plot and the next, well...I don't think we'll be short on things to do~

So go out there and dream! And have fun, of course~ ♥

There are no decorations, nothing displaying personality, and there isn't a single person who would think that it's a girl's bedroom. It'd be easy to assume that she's somewhere in the space station, not in her town home, if Luministi itself wasn't directly visible.

The CAT must be sitting on a table, because Xion can be seen in front of a window with her back to the camera. She tries not to think about it.

Xion shakes her head, then turns to look at her CAT.] Lately, I've been wondering... What's waiting for everyone back home? What are you wanting to go back to? More importantly... Who are you wanting to go back to? [Because everyone's got somebody, Xion thinks. How can they not?] I realized, not too long ago, that even though I have so many friends here that are so important to me... I don't know much about them. Not really. So... I want to know.

[Well. In the meantime...] I want to search for Lab #3. The sooner we find it, the better. I think that, since there are doors from the space station to our houses, maybe somewhere in town there's a door that secretly leads to that place. Maybe in the mansion, since we haven't really had a chance to explore it yet. Does anyone wanna look with me?

[things around town and within the open areas of the spacestation have been quiet lately. very quiet. the townspeople continue to go about their routines and most sites of past destruction have all been repaired to how they were before the destructive forces of the residents got their hands on them. all except for the stone and Neptune sundials. some effort has been made to repair them, but like Humpty after his terrible fall, they can't be put back together again, not completely. Neptune is bent, warped, and missing pieces like his fingers and trident whereas the reconstructed stone sundial in the park looks like a child's feeble attempt to put together a broken vase. (the spacestation hasn't been touched, however, so all wrappers and stuff remain how it they have been left unless one of the residents has taken it upon themselves to clean.)

eventually, the somewhat idyllic peace is broken--at least for those in the spacestation--by an automated voice with a somewhat friendly tone. many will recognize this voice sounding almost exactly like Verita. unfortunately, those inside the town will not hear this announcement:]

Greetings and thank you for visiting the site of the Luminsiti Research Labs! Every day at Luministi, we strive to find the best solution and method so anyone struck with the grief and pain of losing a loved one may finally find some peace. Many advances have been made in recent years thanks to donations and funding from people like you. Currently, we are in the process of researching a live test, and once we have gathered enough data, we will release our--hopefully!--successful findings to you and eventually the public. Please wait here in the observation deck for the next available lab assistant for your free tour of our facilities.

[and as soon as the automated message ends, the young man from this video appears suddenly right where Lab #3 should be. there is nothing wholly special about his appearance; aside from the fact that he just appeared out of thin air, he looks like a regular young man with brown hair in his very early twenties, except his dark eyes... something about them seems off. that's not the only thing, though. a pained look immediately crosses his features, his hand shooting out to brace himself against the wall. his body flickers for a second, going translucent before it solidifies again]

No...! Damnit, I should've known... [his fist clenches] They shouldn't still be here.

[he closes his eyes, falling silent. his brow furrows, jaw clenching after a moment, then he turns suddenly to face anyone who happens to be there. as he starts to talk, his voice strained and struggling to remain calm, his free hand fumbles for something in his pocket] Hey, it's taking a great deal of effort to even be here right now, but you gotta listen to me. You can call me Nathan. I'm a friend of Audrey's. You were supposed to be home by now and I can take a couple guesses why you aren't. Everything in this place has been changed around. It must have happened after she helped you guys out. Unfortunately, someone's sudden fascination with feng shui and kidnapping my friends has made my job of getting you all outta here even more difficult than it already was.

[a small beeping noise sounds from the device he now holds in his hand. it looks similar to a CAT, and every scan and inspection will say that it is a CAT, but it's something more. he glances down at it, muttering a soft, "...Shit," under his breath] Always running out of time in this damn place... I'm going to do what I can to open up this place up, but I can't visit for long. You've got to understand that I cannot be found here. If I am--[he closes his mouth, waving an impatient hand as he flickers again]--just trust me, I can't be! When I've caught him, I'll explain everything, but for now my priority is getting you home, not telling you stories. In the meantime, you have to continue on as you have so far. Play along with what the this place throws you and above all, you need to stay calm and safe. It's very important that none of you allow your emotions to get the better of you.

[he closes his eyes for a second again and finally, slowly, pushes away from the wall and fights to keep himself from wobbling] I'm going to leave this here. Don't worry; it can't be traced. But don't hold onto it for too long. Keep passing it amongst yourselves and keep it hidden. Just because it can't be traced doesn't mean they can't see it once it leaves this precise location. You'll need it so I can pass you information and...other things when I can't be here, so you can't just leave it in this spot. I absolutely need this in someone's possession at all times.

[he drops to his knees suddenly, but plays it off as something he meant to do as he purposefully sets the device on the ground.] But please, since I can only do so much, I need everyone to search for Audrey and Lab #3 for me. Though I fear the worst... [he starts to flicker again, and he lets out a sigh as he fully disappears this time.]

[just as he does, the locked and bloodied door at the very end of the observation deck clicks and slowly slides open.]

❧ Plot Details: Wind of Change

And now we have officially met Nathan! If he could have, he would have spoken to all of the residents, but I'm going to leave it up to you to decide whether you were in the spacestation to hear him speak. Unfortunately, he didn't have time to answer questions, but those who pick up the device he left behind will see that he has set up a voicemail feature so people can ask him quick questions or relay information to him as it's found. He won't be able to answer them all, not yet.

So who is Nathan and how did he appear there like that? Those questions and more will be addressed soon or eventually! But for now, your job is to keep an eye out for Audrey and find the missing Lab #3. No one can go home until Lab #3 is found, after all...

Two things have happened since Nathan's departure! One is somewhat obvious: the opening of the bloodied door. The lights in the hallway there will light up now to show that it is an exact match to the other hallway leading into the observation deck from the Mayor's House--except that the doors within all have names written on them. On the right side, from A1-B16 are the East residents and on the left in the same exact manner are the West residents. Anyone who goes through their own door will find themselves with a handy shortcut back to their townhomes thanks to a secret door in their walk-in closets! That same door can be used to come back into the spacestation, so those who were getting a little tired trekking up through the Mayor's house all the time can have a shorter journey.

Oh yes, I should mention the blood on the floor. The blood spatter isn't too bad; most of it got onto the door, and seeing it with the lights on and stuff, the amount of blood there isn't much. By now, it has coagulated and turned brown, and the blood drops do seem to stop a few feet in, but head to the other end of the hallway. There are a few more drops of blood on the ground, but open that door and they disappear entirely. What lies beyond this door is a mess hall! Not any ordinary mess hall, mind. This was a facility belonging to a very rich research lab, after all, so all the scientists ate well.

And the residents still will, as a matter of fact!--except they have free reign to the kitchen and will have to prepare all meals themselves. If you're the lazy type or don't know your way around the kitchen (or if for the survival of everyone, you should be forbidden from ever entering a kitchen), there are several vending machines in the nice mess hall (wooden tables, wooden chairs, comfy booths along the walls)--or you can head back into town to one of the fine restaurants there.

Of course...that is if your favorite restaurant still exists.

This leads to the second thing that has happened! See...since no one can go home just yet, home has decided to come to you. Don't get too excited, though. Home might not be your literal home, like the Doctor might not walk into the bakery and find himself back in the console room of the TARDIS. He could very well open that same door and walk straight what looks like an unoccupied corridor of a Dalek mothership. That's just one possibility! Everyone will have one thing appear in town related directly to them and their universe in some way and it doesn't have to be through one of the shops in town. The central console from his TARDIS could randomly turn up in the park, or shell of a non-functional Dalek. It can be anything so long as it isn't alive (or rather, alive in the sense that it can think on its own and need to be NPC'd. So pets and other people are off limits, unfortunately.) To avoid overlap, please comment on where you'd like your part of home to be in town or in the open areas of the spacestation and what it is. Please also note if it's going to take over any of the shops (as listed here if you need any suggestions!). All other main buildings can't be overtaken, like the library and town hall. They can, however, have objects appear near, on top of, or inside them!

Now, don't think you have to be restricted to some place safe. If you were from the Star Wars universe and wanted to bring the giant trash compactor that nearly squishes Luke and co. in the first movie, you can definitely do that! Of course, if you were from the Indiana Jones universe, you could have giant rocks chasing you down a street if you moved something off a pedestal, or some other type of booby trap, and if you were from the Willy Wonka universe, there could be a chocolate river running around town now! (Sadly, no one is.) The sky is the limit! Just tell us that's what that room/object will do. And if you're unsure whether something will be allowed, etc, definitely ask!

--------------------------

Before I wrap things up, just a few quick business notes. First of all, I wanted to apologize for this late plot update. I've had company in from out of town coupled with my brother's birthday, so real life things did get in the way of me both tagging and writing a plot post. Also, I wanted the time to check over details for the remainder of the season and beyond and I just didn't have that time until now. I can definitely say that we are on track for plot updates to return to their original update days (so next Saturday).

What hasn't helped in the last plot was the near-weekly downage of LJ during the DDoS attacks. I know some people were able to get in tags here and there whenever LJ was functional during that time, but it definitely didn't help matters or make things easier for people to meet the requirements of the next Activity Check on the 14th. So! Because of that, I'm going to push it back to the 24th. At this time, I'm undecided whether I'll change the actual AC requirements or not. Whether I do will depend on the number of entries we get up until the 24th. Also, because I am changing the date so much, everyone will have to check in (unless you're on hiatus at the time, of course).

Oh! In regards to what Nathan said about people having the device on them at all times, I will need a few volunteers for this! Mainly, it's so I know who might have it at that time. Just know that if I get a lot of volunteers, I might not be able to get to you; we only have so many weeks left in the second season! But I'm going to try! Nonetheless, this won't be first come, first served. To be fair, you'll have until Monday to volunteer, and from there, I'll be choosing at random via AIM dice, and you'll only be used once! I'll contact you through PM to let you know I chose you and what we'll do from there. Chances are, you might not have to do anything since I'll be doing these for plot updates, but I do plan on throwing some fun things in between that time~ So please be on the look out! (And let's hope LJ doesn't eat the PM notifs because that'd really suck. If it does, I know how to contact you guys otherwise!)

If anyone has questions, comments, concerns, etc, please don't be afraid to leave them here! Or contact me through the usual means.

Have fun everyone! ♥

Nearby on a table (but not too nearby, so as not to risk getting nail filings on it) sits a small plate holding a partially eaten piece of cake with a roughly half-full cup of coffee next to that.]

So, did everyone accomplish what they wanted? Since I'm not blind I noticed that several of you seem to have succeeded in wrecking some structures around town, but aside from various girls apparently going missing I haven't heard much news - hardly even a whisper, actually. Most of the town seems to be in a rather sour mood all of a sudden, which I suppose could have to do with most of their landmarks being destroyed by a bunch of rambunctious outsiders.

[The filing ceases for a moment as he lets out a tiny nervous laugh, but as the obnoxious scraping sound picks up again he seems genuinely calm - apparently doing nails is pretty therapeutic.]

If I remember correctly, the purpose of that little errand was to gain access to the Mayor's residence. Sadly, this does mean that apps have now closed for this season, but they will reopen next year for the next season. I will say that you've arrived at a very interesting time in the game! You've come at the end of what would be the equivalent of a mid-season finale, but there'll be lots to hear about from the others so it won't be too hard to be brought up to speed ICly~ I'll be explaining things about the current plot in just a moment. Feel free to jump down past the dotted line if you'd like to skip the murder plot and quick-time explanations!

All right! Just from the discussions and stuff, I really did enjoy seeing how everyone interpreted the clues and what I gave you all. Granted, some are red herrings (or are they?!) and I did throw in a few. But to make this as easy (and short) as I can make it, I'll start with the murderer and the murders themselves and continue on from there!

The clues about the murderer's identity were the following: long, brown hair (though this I did split between two people), purple nail polish, a drawing of a flame, and tears with the sound of a woman crying. The purple nail polish links directly to the Audrey we heard in the video, and Audrey is the only one of the main NPCs who has long brown hair, but the flame and tears clues are trickier. The crying can both link to Audrey's misery over her brother dying last year and to the task that she's been given (which was alluded to in the video). The flame clue, admittedly, is the hardest, and is a direct link to "Ardes", Audrey's last name. It is a derivative of 'ardeo', or to burn, and a flame burns, so...yes. That is that!

Also, there were clues around town about how the initial murder happened. The rolling pin found under the fridge was used originally to knock the other Audrey out, but the chloroform had been used a second time to knock her out, and the rag/bottle were discarded separately. However, that is not how she was murdered. In her investigations, Xion found empty vials similar to one that Fuu found outside The Chrysalis, except the ones Xion found contained a tiny trace of a liquid that would kill you instantly, instead of making you sick over a span of a week like the poison found in Fuu's found vial. The instant death serum is how people in really died. People who were unfortunate enough to receive the "A" cards were made to hallucinate their awful deaths and for that short time, the deaths were very real--until the bodies reappeared all nice and alive, that is. People who got the "B" cards got the nice, peaceful deaths since that serum acted quickly, closing up the airways instantly so suffocation would be quick and it would be like you were passing out.

In the other Audrey's case, this is what happened: she was surprised and gagged by the chloroform-laced cloth and dragged out into the street in front of the bar. Both Audreys were cloaked at the time, and after other!Audrey was injected with the serum, the cloaking was removed and she was given a push so she'd land the way she did when people found her body. The scream that everyone heard came from the real Audrey as the other body was going down.

Now! The curtains! Everything that you needed to find the correct curtain was all the note. The right curtain, or #3, was the correct answer, and you could get this by counting the number of lines in the clue, the number of "arches" at the bottom, and the "get lucky" part of the note (which add up to three clues and hints to the number 3! Fun times~). The lucky thing, though, hints at the number 3 being a lucky number in some cultures. (And granted, the lucky number thing was a bit of a long shot...)

And the most recent quick-time itself. Remember that thing about some clues being possible red herrings? Well...some of the clues I gave originally in the town investigations/deaths were meant for this part of the plot, namely the hammer, the sun, and the two clock hands (though I noticed people used these to help with the curtains!) Well, the clock hands were meant to point you at the clocks in town, which there are five, including the one in the Town Hall. However! The sun was meant to hint you at them only functioning with sunlight, and the hammer...well. That was to foreshadow to the eventual destruction of the sundials. Also, in the most recent mod post, I hinted that the Town Features had a clue about which two objects, but I had said it was subtle. The clue I had hinted at was related to the odd phenomenon when you try to get to the mayoral residence too many times. You go from that corner of the town directly to the lake. And the two objects that happen to be right there at the two points in that journey are the Neptune sundial and the stone sundial in the park.

Regardless of how you came to the answers, I was so happy to see everyone plotting, planning and having fun. It was awesome to see your theories and everything!

-----------------------------------

OKAY! On to new plot stuff! As you saw, Luministi has...sort of gone to hell a bit. The town is still in operation and will be set back to normal "default" looks soon, though the things that were destroyed in the quick-time will remain ruined for now. And...for a day, those who were incorrect will remain in jail. (And you won't be able to break out either. All powers are nullified while inside the cells.) Fortunately, the jail cell doors will unlock themselves once that day's time is over, though for the most part, the deputies--as well as the rest of the townspeople--will ignore you. And that goes for anyone who ventures through town. The NPCs will not take note of you, but will dodge you if you get in their way so it'll only seem like they're ignoring you on purpose, but throw a ball in their path and they'll ignore that as well. Odd.

As for other things that have been damaged previously, like people's clothing and such, those things are as good as new! No more holey clothing! And those who lost their faces will be reunited with them again. Yeah for real faces!

People can now freely traverse through the Mayor's house to the open areas of the spacestation! I will note that the only way you can get out of town is through the Mayor's House. The hallway and the observation deck are the only open things at the moment (and there are lavatories and vending areas available within the observation deck so people won't have to run back into town for things if they don't want to), and Lab #3 has gone missing (how, well...who knows yet), but that is only the start. There is much fun to come, but this new obstacle should be fun to traverse.

Oh, three things to note. One, at the very end of the observation deck, there is a deadlocked sealed door that has fresh drops of blood splattered on the glass--but you can only see it if you shine a light through it into the darkened hallway beyond. Two, like the door at the end of the observation deck, no other doors in the area can be opened, broken into, jiggled, etc--nor can the rooms beyond be portaled into at all.

And three: you know those cameras in town? Some of them have turned up in different places in the observation deck as well as at various points in the long hallway, but the video feeds for these ones can't be found anywhere in the observation deck or in town.

But yes! That is it for this post. This is your plot break, so take a breather, relax in town or hang out and explore the available areas in the spacestation and the Mayor's house.

On the business end of things, we only have one person in danger after the recent Activity Check, who will have another three days to get in touch with me before being removed from the game! We will have another one come August 14th!

And...I believe that is it from me! If you have any question, comments, etc, go ahead and leave them here! Enjoy your time of peace, everyone~ ♥
