Day 03 - A song that makes you happy

What make me happy are the random songs Panic! made up when they were wee baby stoners. Like Black Forest Ham, the one about how if Ryan lost a hand, he could still write songs with Jon, etc. Those make me grin like an idiot.

<lj-embed id="15" />

Black Forest Ham (note Jon and Spencer making hearteyes and trying to make each other laugh)

<lj-embed id="16" />

The Other Hand (Ryan/Jon ahoy!)

Day 01 - Your favourite song
Day 02 - Your least favourite song

Day 04 - A song that makes you sad
Day 05 - A song that reminds you of someone
Day 06 - A song that reminds of you of somewhere
Day 07 - A song that reminds you of a certain event
Day 08 - A song that you know all the words to
Day 09 - A song that you can dance to
Day 10 - A song that makes you fall asleep
Day 11 - A song from your favourite band
Day 12 - A song from a band you hate
Day 13 - A song that is a guilty pleasure
Day 14 - A song that no one would expect you to love
Day 15 - A song that describes you
Day 16 - A song that you used to love but now hate
Day 17 - A song that you hear often on the radio
Day 18 - A song that you wish you heard on the radio
Day 19 - A song from your favourite album
Day 20 - A song that you listen to when you’re angry
Day 21 - A song that you listen to when you’re happy
Day 22 - A song that you listen to when you’re sad
Day 23 - A song that you want to play at your wedding
Day 24 - A song that you want to play at your funeral
Day 25 - A song that makes you laugh
Day 26 - A song that you can play on an instrument
Day 27 - A song that you wish you could play
Day 28 - A song that makes you feel guilty
Day 29 - A song from your childhood
Day 30 - Your favourite song at this time last year

Day 02 - Your least favourite song

Oh god, I don't know. I tend to find some sort of appeal in even the most odious songs. I guess my least favorite thing to hear is Hannah Montana.

Day 01 - Your favourite song

Day 03 - A song that makes you happy

Also, I wanted to try this thing out:

30 Days of Music, Day 1

Okay, I swore to myself I would stop relying on memes to make posts. I post way too many memes. But I haven't posted in forever, and I saw this meme and couldn't resist, plus I think it's much more interesting than other ones. So here we go!

Day 01 - Your favourite song

This changes a lot, but I'd have to say that it's Night Windows by The Weakerthans. It just makes me smile to listen to it. The fact that it's been my favorite song for a year and a half (while most songs only stay my favorite for a couple weeks) I think proves that it really will be one that stays with me.

Night Windows

Day 02 - Your least favourite song
Day 03 - A song that makes you happy

In other news, I am GRADUATING TOMORROW WHAT? That is fucking bizarre. I will be an adult in the Real World! Except not really, cause I'll be going to college. But whatever, the point is that this is weird and exciting and I can't wait to get out of here.

I find it lolarious that the post right below this one is all optimistic and shit, because I have reached my breaking point with this thing. Our director is killing all of our souls and ugh. Today she went on stage and went up to me IN THE MIDDLE OF A SCENE, said "You always find a way to get to the front. I don't want you in the front!" and moved me to the back where no one could see me. WHAT THE FUCK? First of all, I just happen to usually be in the front because I'm five feet tall and that's the only way I can not be blocked. And that was the same position she blocked me into! Fucking insane bitch. I seriously considered walking out of the rehearsal and never coming back, but then I wouldn't get the good stuff of performing. And it's my senior year musical, and I can't not do it. Ugh. 6 more days of rehearsal, 3 performances and then I am fucking DONE.

Day 10 → A photo of you taken over ten years ago

Oh dear god. As you can see by the timestamp, it's not 10 years ago, only 8 years ago, but there's nothing earlier on the computer. According to my calculations I was 10. I was such an awkward-looking kid. I remember that was my favorite shirt ever at the time. It was from Limited Too. OH DEAR GOD THE SHAME ;O;

Day 01 → Your favourite song
Day 02 → Your favourite movie
Day 03 → Your favourite television programme
Day 04 → Your favourite book
Day 06 → Whatever tickles your fancy
Day 07 → A photo that makes you happy
Day 08 → A photo that makes you angry/sad
Day 09 → A photo you took

Day 11 → A photo of you taken recently
Day 12 → Whatever tickles your fancy
Day 13 → A fictional book
Day 14 → A non-fictional book
Day 15 → A fanfic
Day 16 → A song that makes you cry (or nearly)
Day 17 → An art piece (painting, drawing, sculpture, etc.)
Day 18 → Whatever tickles your fancy
Day 19 → A talent of yours
Day 20 → A hobbie of yours
Day 21 → A recipe
Day 22 → A website
Day 23 → A YouTube video
Day 24 → Whatever tickles your fancy
Day 25 → Your day, in great detail
Day 26 → Your week, in great detail
Day 27 → This month, in great detail
Day 28 → This year, in great detail
Day 29 → Hopes, dreams and plans for the next 365 days
Day 30 → Whatever tickles your fancy

In irl news, I have rocketed back into loving Doctor Who. I guess it took David Tennant going away for me to properly appreciate him. Now we're going to start getting Torchwood on Netflix, because I watched The Sound of Drums episode trilogy with my dad and he fell in love with Jack Harkness. Whee~

Also THE MUSICAL IS GOING TO BE AWESOME. Despite the fact that our director is a psycho bitch, our rehearsals are so productive and the cast is so much less cliquey. I think it helps that at least half the cast is not in the higher theater classes. That seems to help with the elitism. Also, I think this is a smaller cast than Beauty and the Beast, and we have a lot more stage time, which means a lot of time standing with different people and getting to know them. It makes the rehearsals for 3 hours a day, 6 hours a week be less painful.

1. What did you do in 2009 that you’d never done before?
Wore a dress, shorts and a skirt to school (not all at once). Actually did something to my hair when I wasn't required to. Wore jewelry.

2. Did you keep your New Year’s Resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I didn't make any resolutions last year. This year I'd like to resolve to:
• Stop using fat talk, and tell other people not to
• Talk to people I don't usually talk to
• Actually flirt with the guys I am interested in, rather than sitting and wishing

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
My mom's best friend's sister

4. Did anyone close to you die?
No, but I found out my favorite uncle has cancer

5. Which countries did you visit?
I didn't visit any other countries, but I did go to Ohio

6. What would you like to have in 2010 that you lacked in 2009?
A job, a boyfriend

7. What dates from 2009 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
Can't think of any important ones

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Wearing stuff to school that showed my legs. It doesn't sound like much, and it really wasn't after the first time I walked into class, but it's a big step in being more confident.

9. What was your biggest failure?
Still not talking to people who aren't already established friends

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
I got a really awful flu after Thespian Conference.

11. What was the best thing someone bought you?
My dad bought me the Vogue Knitting book!

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
My parents, for finally starting the divorce process.

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
My mom. My god, where do I even start? I guess the worst was a week or so ago when she refused to ask my dad for money to get her prescription because she was ~sick of asking him for things~ and as a result went completely insane and started screaming at him and threw a plate at him. I can't get the sound of her screaming "DO YOU WANT ME TO STAY?" out of my mind. Also, the time she wired a lot of money to this Nigerian scammer she met on match.com, and all the fake guys she's ~fallen in love with~.

14. Where did most of your money go?
Earlier in the year, I saved up a lot, but over the past few months I've spent all of it on yarn and clothes.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
COLLEGE

16. What song will always remind you of 2009?
Every song from A Very Potter Musical. Antebellum by Vienna Teng.

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
a) happier or sadder? Much much happier
b) fatter or skinnier? The same
c) richer or poorer? Poorer, although I am living with my parents, so it doesn't affect me at all, except that I can't buy yarn until I get some more money.

18. What do you wish you’d done more of?
Writing, exercising, talking to people

19. What do you wish you’d done less of?
Worrying, procrastinating

20. How do you plan to spend Christmas?
I spent it with my dad and my grandma, because my mom, thankfully, is visiting her current boyfriend. We opened presents and then went to a fancy hotel for a buffet dinner. It was delicious.

21. Did you fall in love in 2009?
Unrequited love, yes.

22. How many one night stands?
Zero

23. What was your favorite TV program?
Glee and Lost

24. Do you hate anyone now that you didn’t hate this time last year?
Al. I am fucking sick of him and his stonerness and how he somehow makes people (including me) think he's awesome at the piano while in secret being mediocre at best.

25. What was the best book you read?
Objectively, Siddhartha, although I didn't really enjoy the reading process. The book I liked reading the best was American Gods.

26. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Vienna Teng

27. What did you want and get?
Clothes that actually fit my personal style

28. What did you want and not get?
A boyfriend, a job, my mom to move out

29. What was your favorite film of this year?
STAR TREK!!!!

30. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I turned 17. Just had a low-key sort of thing. We went to Desert Ridge intending to see Coraline, but it was sold out so we saw Bride Wars, which was as awful as one would suspect. And then a few of the girls slept over.

31. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Probably a boyfriend. I know, I don't need a guy in my life to feel complete, but I just really want someone to hold me. I'm craving physical affection.

32. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2009?
Vintage-inspired hipster meets mori girl

33. What kept you sane?
idk, I'm pretty sane all the time, so I didn't need anything to help.

34. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
It changes all the time!

35. What political issue stirred you the most?
I got really fucking pissed off about the anti-gay legislature in Uganda. I can't even comprehend being that fucking ignorant and wanting to kill people just because their preferences don't agree with your stupid religious code. FUCK. Also I got really into feminism, but I don't think that's political.

36. Who do you miss?
Panic at the Disco with Ryan and Jon

37. Who was the best new person you met?
Well, I knew Kate before, but I only started talking to her this year. And Chelsea, she's so weird, I love it.

38. What was the best thing you ate?
The sweet potatoes I made. Ngh, I love sweet potatoes. Also the chestnut stuffing I had at Christmas was amazing.

39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2009?
People like me; the only reason people act awkward around me is because I act awkward around them.

40. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year:
"Things have changed for me, and that's okay"

I haven't looked at my f-list in longer. I've kind of gone into this mode where I'm either doing knitting stuff, like looking at Ravelry or actually knitting, or hanging out with my dad. I want to get back into looking at my f-list and stuff like that, but there's so much stuff to knit!

I turned my dad into a Doctor Who fan. I was watching it downstairs because I had DVRed it, and I knew he was intrigued because he kept telling me to turn up the volume. Eventually he gave up any pretense of not being that interested and came and sat on the couch, then when it was over, he wanted to watch the whole marathon on BBC America. Now he has discovered Jack Harkness and ordered Torchwood on Netflix. Of course he would ♥ Fun fact: did you know that Torchwood is an anagram of Doctor Who? I didn't.

I started up a knitting blog over here. I haven't posted yet, but maybe I will tonight. Check it out! It'll have stuff about knitting for those of you who are into that, as well as updates about the Etsy shops I'm going to open once I turn 18 (which is on January 31st HINT). One of them is going to be called Sweetish and will have knits and a bit of vintage stuff, as well as maybe hand-dyed yarn, cause I want to learn to dye stuff. The other will be called Fannish, and will have fandom-related amigurumi (crochet dolls). The fandoms I'm planning are Harry Potter (already started designing a Draco doll), Star Trek, Doctor Who, Firefly, and maybe Lost. Do you think people would be interested in those last two? I certainly would, but I don't know whether a lot of people still like Lost. I know a lot of people got fed up with it later in the season (WARNING: IN THE COMMENTS DO NOT SAY ONE THING ABOUT THE LAST THREE EPISODES OF SEASON FIVE; I haven't watched those yet). There's only one other seller I've found on Etsy who does stuff like that, and she doesn't have anything in any of those fandoms, nor does anyone else, so I think I've found a pretty good niche.

Finally, thanks to people who sent me Christmas gifts! Elena, I loved the card. Chris, I got the yarn and have already made stuff out of it. Unfortunately, I didn't plan very well and had no time to send Christmas stuff to anyone. I barely had time to knit the stuff for my IRL friends! I'll make it up to you guys for your birthdays, or next Christmas, whichever comes first :]

Thank you for cataloguing everything that might possibly be "wrong" with my body so that I will become so paranoid that I convince myself your product is the only way to save myself from losing my beauty, and therefore my worth as a person. Thank you for showing me that the only way I can ever be perfect is if I am a plastic mannequin (notice the shoulder and wrist?). This is disgusting.

Day 01 → Your favourite song
Day 02 → Your favourite movie
Day 03 → Your favourite television programme
Day 04 → Your favourite book
Day 06 → Whatever tickles your fancy
Day 07 → A photo that makes you happy

Day 09 → A photo you took
Day 10 → A photo of you taken over ten years ago
Day 11 → A photo of you taken recently
Day 12 → Whatever tickles your fancy
Day 13 → A fictional book
Day 14 → A non-fictional book
Day 15 → A fanfic
Day 16 → A song that makes you cry (or nearly)
Day 17 → An art piece (painting, drawing, sculpture, etc.)
Day 18 → Whatever tickles your fancy
Day 19 → A talent of yours
Day 20 → A hobbie of yours
Day 21 → A recipe
Day 22 → A website
Day 23 → A YouTube video
Day 24 → Whatever tickles your fancy
Day 25 → Your day, in great detail
Day 26 → Your week, in great detail
Day 27 → This month, in great detail
Day 28 → This year, in great detail
Day 29 → Hopes, dreams and plans for the next 365 days
Day 30 → Whatever tickles your fancy

I've been neglecting LJ horribly because of the musical. Rehearsal every day right after school until 6 kind of saps my motivation to do anything but lie in bed. It's fun, though; I love being in the musical. The musical we're doing is Urinetown, which is about a future in which all toilets are public and you have to pay to pee. The poor people who can't afford to pee start a revolution. I'm just in the ensemble, but we're encouraged to come up with our own characters, and mine is pretty much Winky from Me and My Dick except not a total dick (pun very much intended). So I get to yell stuff in a squeaky voice and clamber all over the awesome scaffolding that's part of our set. It's the kind of character I need a costume to get into, though, so I'm working on knitting some arm warmers and a hat that I can wear when I need to get into character. The music is awesome, too, and the chorus gets a lot to sing! It's a weird cast this year, lots of newcomers. And the leads are totally not who I expected, which is nice.

Another thing eating at my time is Christmas knitting. Basically, I have to knit 8 rows on each project every day to be done on time, which means 56 rows a day! Intense. I'm sticking to it pretty well so far, though. Today I bought the yarn for Bethany and Emily's presents, and it's awesome yarn. The only yarn I've gotten that I'm not happy is the yarn I'm using for my mom's scarf. I might decide not to make her anything, because she said she didn't want me to get her anything, and it would help me not have to do so much. But I would feel like a horrible person! idk, though, the yarn I got for her just doesn't look good in anything. I will never buy cotton yarn again.

Day 06 → Whatever tickles your fancy

<lj-embed id="14" />

Holy shit, this is adorable. You need to have watched all of A Very Potter Musical to get it. I never thought about shipping Voldemort and Quirrel before watching AVPM, and tbh I still wouldn't actually read fic about them, but I was cooing at them the entire time while watching it. The guy playing Quirrel has a gorgeous voice ♥

GUESS I CAN'T MAKE THAT ROLLERBLADING DATE FROM AZKABAN!

Day 01 → Your favourite song
Day 02 → Your favourite movie
Day 03 → Your favourite television programme
Day 04 → Your favourite book

Day 07 → A photo that makes you happy
Day 08 → A photo that makes you angry/sad
Day 09 → A photo you took
Day 10 → A photo of you taken over ten years ago
Day 11 → A photo of you taken recently
Day 12 → Whatever tickles your fancy
Day 13 → A fictional book
Day 14 → A non-fictional book
Day 15 → A fanfic
Day 16 → A song that makes you cry (or nearly)
Day 17 → An art piece (painting, drawing, sculpture, etc.)
Day 18 → Whatever tickles your fancy
Day 19 → A talent of yours
Day 20 → A hobbie of yours
Day 21 → A recipe
Day 22 → A website
Day 23 → A YouTube video
Day 24 → Whatever tickles your fancy
Day 25 → Your day, in great detail
Day 26 → Your week, in great detail
Day 27 → This month, in great detail
Day 28 → This year, in great detail
Day 29 → Hopes, dreams and plans for the next 365 days
Day 30 → Whatever tickles your fancy

So today was Thanksgiving fuck yeah! I've decided I really want domestic fluffy fic with Spencer and Brendon cooking Thanksgiving dinner. Brendon's all like burning shit cause he gets distracted singing about yams and Spencer is an awesome cook and idk what happens then but it would be cute.

Another meme! But it's a very imformative one.

You know how sometimes people on your friendslist post about stuff going on in their life, and all of a sudden you think "Wait a minute? Since when were they working THERE? Since when were they dating HIM/HER? Since when???" And then you wonder how you could have missed all that seemingly pretty standard information, but somehow you feel too ashamed to ask for clarification because it seems like info you should already know? It happens to all of us sometimes.

Please copy the topics below, erase my answers and put yours in their place, and then post it in your journal! Please elaborate on the questions that would benefit from elaboration. One-Word-Answers seldom help anyone out. :)

NAME
Miranda Beatrix and I won't put my last name because I don't want my parents to find my LJ by goggling my name.

AGE
17, 18 in a little over 2 months holy shit

LOCATION
Scottsdale, AZ. It's a rich, boring suburb north of Phoenix. Absolutely devoid of any sort of local color or interesting things to do. It's pretty, though.

OCCUPATION
High school student, soon to be a college student. I am planning to open up a couple Etsy shops (one for fandom-related crochet dolls, another to sell all the vintage jewelry we inherited from my grandmother and aunt), and I plan to get a job over the summer and have a job when at college. For a part-time job, I'd love to work at a local yarn store. For my full-time future prospects, I'm juggling between wanting to work at a magazine and wanting to be a visual editor (color correcting and the like) for film and TV.

PARTNER
Never had a relationship. :/

KIDS
I still am a kid!

BROTHERS/SISTERS
None

PETS
We have three dogs. One is Angel (short for Angelique), a chihuahua who I am pretty sure has mental problems. Another is Petey (short for Count Petofi), who is a beautiful dog. We rescued him, and he used to be really mean and anxious, but now he's really relaxed and nice. Our third is Quentin, a rescued greyhound. He's really gorgeous and so mellow. You would think he'd be running around constantly, but mostly he sleeps, and occasionally chases bunnies in the backyard. Previously within my lifetime, we've had 5 dogs (Naomi, Dinah, Barnabus, Nicholas, and Frankie), all but two of whom were named after characters from the '60s TV show Dark Shadows. Our current ones are named after characters too. At one point I had 6 rats: Yma (after Yma Sumac), Flahooley (after the musical), Amelia and Cleo (after Amelia's Notebook), Hermione (duh), and Rapunzel (she was a hairless rat). Then later I had another two, Sakaki and Nyamo, after characters from Azumanga Daioh. We've also had a few betta fish, who had much less interesting names. And at one point I had a hamster named Sylvia.

LIST THE 3/5 BIGGEST THINGS GOING ON IN YOUR LIFE.
1. School and all things related, i.e. theater, Mixed Jazz (8-person vocal jazz group; I'm the soprano 2), newspaper (of which I am the opinions editor), lit mag

2. Knitting is my current obsession. There is not a day that I don't knit. Currently I'm working on a bunch of Christmahanukkah presents.

3. College applications and shit

PARENTS
Okay, this is going to get complicated. My parents got married back in '81 and tried to have a child for 11 years (my mom has ovarian issues) before they finally adopted me. They told me I was adopted when I was 5 or so, whenever it was that I asked where babies come from, and I never angsted about it or anything. I met my biological mother in 6th grade, I think. Technically, I wasn't supposed to meet her until I turned 18, because that's the adoption center's policy, but she saw our last name on a picture of art I did that my mom sent her through the center and asked my mom if it was okay for her to contact us. Anyway, I hang out with her a lot. At first, my biomom thought my father was this Native American guy, but when I was 16 she told me my father is actually probably this guy who ended up becoming a paleontologist. We're like 99% sure that's true because I am whiter than the whitest thing to ever be white, so there's no way I could have Native American blood.

Anyway, as for my actual parents (meaning the ones who raised me and the ones I think of as my parents), my mom is insane and my dad is gay. For some reason, back when they got married, my dad told my mom he was gay and yet they still thought it was a good idea to get married. Idiots. Now they hate each other. My mom teaches at a preschool and teacher voice at home. She's a great singer, but completely batshit. I can't stand her. She's attracted to gay men and a subconscious homophobe at the same time, which results in her having tons of gay friends but at the same time telling me that bi people are more likely to cheat in a relationship and that I must be a lesbian because I don't wear make up every day or carry a purse when I go out with my parents. She also yells at my dad about anything. My dad is awesome, though. He's a concert pianist and plays for the symphony orchestra that is in the capital of Arizona (if I type its name, I found out the hard way, they get an alert and can see my LJ D:) and teaches piano at home. He's really into learning languages, his favorite being Welsh. He's just a great person, and my favorite of all my parents.

WHO ARE SOME OF YOUR CLOSEST FRIENDS?
irl, Katy (therentmatrix). As for other friends, I have a lot of friends, but idk if I would consider them to be as close as these three.

Day 04 → Your favourite book

Oh god, how do I even pick? There are so many books I love. But probably my favorite is Neil Gaiman's Fragile Things. It's a collection of short stories and poems, and everything in it is absolutely gorgeous. Read it. NOW.

Day 01 → Your favourite song
Day 02 → Your favourite movie
Day 03 → Your favourite television programme

Day 06 → Whatever tickles your fancy
Day 07 → A photo that makes you happy
Day 08 → A photo that makes you angry/sad
Day 09 → A photo you took
Day 10 → A photo of you taken over ten years ago
Day 11 → A photo of you taken recently
Day 12 → Whatever tickles your fancy
Day 13 → A fictional book
Day 14 → A non-fictional book
Day 15 → A fanfic
Day 16 → A song that makes you cry (or nearly)
Day 17 → An art piece (painting, drawing, sculpture, etc.)
Day 18 → Whatever tickles your fancy
Day 19 → A talent of yours
Day 20 → A hobbie of yours
Day 21 → A recipe
Day 22 → A website
Day 23 → A YouTube video
Day 24 → Whatever tickles your fancy
Day 25 → Your day, in great detail
Day 26 → Your week, in great detail
Day 27 → This month, in great detail
Day 28 → This year, in great detail
Day 29 → Hopes, dreams and plans for the next 365 days
Day 30 → Whatever tickles your fancy

Real-life-wise, I thought I did great in my Urinetown audition, but I didn't get a call-back. This year, only people in contention for leads get call-backs, so that doesn't mean I'm not in the chorus. Prideaux asked me if I wanted to be assistant musical director (this is not odd, there's always students as assistant director, stage manager, and ASM, but idk if there's ever been an assistant musical director before), and I'm not sure. It is a good thing to do for my senior year, and it would give me a nice little ego boost. But I don't like Prideaux, so I don't want to risk her thinking I do. Or risk other people thinking I'm a teacher's pet. I don't know. I'll probably do it, it's just there are these little niggling thoughts in the back of my brain.

Day 03 → Your favourite television programme

I know Lost is kind of out of style now, but my parents and I started watching it via Netflix over the summer and I am in love. We watched all of seasons 1 - 4 this summer, and are waiting for season 5 to come out on DVD so we can devour it before season 6 starts. As usual, I have picked up on something way way after its heyday. But yeah, I think it's a great show. Hot guys, badass girls, action, lols, accents, mystery and Benjamin Linus. I know a lot of people are like UGH LOST IS SO CONFUSING THEY DON'T ANSWER ANYTHING BLAH BLAH BLAH but I firmly believe that everything that needs to be answered will be by the end of its run. And a lot of the early questions have already been answered. Anyway, I just really love this show. It has great characters that you can really easily get attached to (see: me sobbing at the end of season 3 because of a certain something happening that I won't tell because spoilers are evil). The acting is really good (especially Michael Emerson, who I have a ginormous acting crush on), the music is incredible, and the production quality is fucking amazing. I LOVE LOST.

Day 01 → Your favourite song
Day 02 → Your favourite movie

Day 04 → Your favourite book
Day 06 → Whatever tickles your fancy
Day 07 → A photo that makes you happy
Day 08 → A photo that makes you angry/sad
Day 09 → A photo you took
Day 10 → A photo of you taken over ten years ago
Day 11 → A photo of you taken recently
Day 12 → Whatever tickles your fancy
Day 13 → A fictional book
Day 14 → A non-fictional book
Day 15 → A fanfic
Day 16 → A song that makes you cry (or nearly)
Day 17 → An art piece (painting, drawing, sculpture, etc.)
Day 18 → Whatever tickles your fancy
Day 19 → A talent of yours
Day 20 → A hobbie of yours
Day 21 → A recipe
Day 22 → A website
Day 23 → A YouTube video
Day 24 → Whatever tickles your fancy
Day 25 → Your day, in great detail
Day 26 → Your week, in great detail
Day 27 → This month, in great detail
Day 28 → This year, in great detail
Day 29 → Hopes, dreams and plans for the next 365 days
Day 30 → Whatever tickles your fancy

So this weekend was fucking THESPIAN CONFERENCE FUCK YEAH. It's my last one, which makes me kinda sad. Basically, imagine 3000+ theater kids running around a convention center and you have Thescon. The best workshop I went to was this jazz dance one. We warmed up and learned a little combo. The dancing wasn't the fun part, though; it was the ridiculous teacher. He was this big muscly wrist-flippy gay man who was absolutely hilarious. Quotes include "Suck it up, buttercup!" and "And Fosse! And Fosse! And Martha! And Martha!" The mainstage plays this year were god awful. Both had horrible actors. What broke my heart most was that one school did The Secret Garden and all the singers except for Lily and Dicken could barely even hold a tune. At the end of Lily's Eyes, Archie's voice cracked like whoah. I wanted to cry and bash my head into a wall. The amazingness of the IE spotlight winners made up for it, though. Also we went to Hooters twice. I think I have to get my feminist card taken away now. In my defense, it was do that or go eat alone somewhere. So yeah, subtracting a few bad things, it was a weekend of epicness.

Day 02 → Your favourite movie

idek, I like a lot of movies. And I go through stages of liking different ones. I don't know what my favorite is right now. Probably Coraline, that was awesome.

Day 01 → Your favourite song

Day 03 → Your favourite television programme
Day 04 → Your favourite book
Day 06 → Whatever tickles your fancy
Day 07 → A photo that makes you happy
Day 08 → A photo that makes you angry/sad
Day 09 → A photo you took
Day 10 → A photo of you taken over ten years ago
Day 11 → A photo of you taken recently
Day 12 → Whatever tickles your fancy
Day 13 → A fictional book
Day 14 → A non-fictional book
Day 15 → A fanfic
Day 16 → A song that makes you cry (or nearly)
Day 17 → An art piece (painting, drawing, sculpture, etc.)
Day 18 → Whatever tickles your fancy
Day 19 → A talent of yours
Day 20 → A hobbie of yours
Day 21 → A recipe
Day 22 → A website
Day 23 → A YouTube video
Day 24 → Whatever tickles your fancy
Day 25 → Your day, in great detail
Day 26 → Your week, in great detail
Day 27 → This month, in great detail
Day 28 → This year, in great detail
Day 29 → Hopes, dreams and plans for the next 365 days
Day 30 → Whatever tickles your fancy

As for life-related stuff. I am freaking out because I missed a lot when I was out sick. I have like tonight and tomorrow to learn inclined plane problems cause I have to make up my physics test tomorrow. And idk when I'm making up my math test. But just ugh it's stressful. My Toodledo list expanded to like twice its length today. ;o;

But on a happy note, GUESS WHAT TIME IT IS: MOTHERFUCKIN SEASONAL BECKS TIME, THAT'S WHAT TIME IT IS! I made a Thanksgiving Becks :D

Day 01 → Your favourite song

Currently, No Gringo - Vienna Teng. It's really pretty and heartbreaking, and I'm very concerned about immigration, since I live in Arizona, where we have a crazy police person (idk what his title is but people call him Sheriff Joe) who has raids on libraries and shit and arrests anyone who looks vaguely Mexican. And he wants to run for governor. Fuck people. Anyway, it's a clever reversal.

Day 02 → Your favourite movie
Day 03 → Your favourite television programme
Day 04 → Your favourite book
Day 06 → Whatever tickles your fancy
Day 07 → A photo that makes you happy
Day 08 → A photo that makes you angry/sad
Day 09 → A photo you took
Day 10 → A photo of you taken over ten years ago
Day 11 → A photo of you taken recently
Day 12 → Whatever tickles your fancy
Day 13 → A fictional book
Day 14 → A non-fictional book
Day 15 → A fanfic
Day 16 → A song that makes you cry (or nearly)
Day 17 → An art piece (painting, drawing, sculpture, etc.)
Day 18 → Whatever tickles your fancy
Day 19 → A talent of yours
Day 20 → A hobbie of yours
Day 21 → A recipe
Day 22 → A website
Day 23 → A YouTube video
Day 24 → Whatever tickles your fancy
Day 25 → Your day, in great detail
Day 26 → Your week, in great detail
Day 27 → This month, in great detail
Day 28 → This year, in great detail
Day 29 → Hopes, dreams and plans for the next 365 days
Day 30 → Whatever tickles your fancy

So hmm. I haven't posted in a long while. Mostly because very few things have happened. I auditioned for All State Jazz, didn't make it in. Apparently this kid who used to do theater camp with me made first chair, holy shit! I'm not surprised, he had an amazing voice. I've been rereading Diane Duane's Young Wizards series and I am loving them all over again. I remember being like 11 and taking the Wizard's Oath and being really sad that it didn't turn me into a wizard. I've actually been rereading a lot of my favorite childhood books. I've been carrying around The Neverending Story in my school bag, and when I'm done with this last Young Wizards book, I think I'll reread Harry Potter number 6 and 7, cause I have no idea what happens in those. Speaking of Harry Potter, I'm on the Quidditch team at Hogwarts Online (so cool right) and I got played as a chaser in my first game and actually scored two goals, or whatever you call them in Quidditch :D Yaay.

So last night I had a bizarre dream, in many parts:

First, apparently Mrs. Kirkwood, my guidance counselor, thought I had done something awful like stealing or beating someone to a pulp or I don't remember, so she told me the school rule was that I would have to be put to death by drowning. So I was taken to the side of this river, and I went in and went under the water. I wasn't trying to escape or anything, because I was resigned to my fate, but somehow I floated and got air and then I got out of the river and ran off. Later I ran into Kirkwood again and she was like "Well, I wish I didn't have to, but I really have to take you back to be drowned" so they tried again, and again I floated. Then she told me that since I clearly wasn't meant to die, I could get out of it, but I wouldn't be able to graduate.

The next part was me in various classes on the last day of school, and clearly that not graduating thing was canceled, because I kept talking to my friends about how we are SENIORS and after that we would never have to go to high school again and I was hugging everyone but they didn't seem to care that we were graduating and were all like whatever so I sadfaced.

Then it was after school, and I noticed a huge crowd of people around the black box, so I went to investigate, and it turned out musical auditions were that day! So much for it being the last day of school. But I didn't know it was the day for auditions and I didn't know any of the music so I was screwed! The show... people kept saying it was Assassins but the music was partly from Chess, partly from The Mikado, and partly some musical that doesn't exist. So I was freaking the fuck out but then my mom (who was there) asked Como if I could sing The Sun and I even though it wasn't one of the selections they had picked for kids to sing, and that was all well and good, but then I couldn't remember the lyrics!

And then my mom sent irl!Emily in to wake me up because she was having a voice lesson. So I don't know what happened.

Also there was buying school lunch included somewhere in there, and apparently I was supposed to get food for Gaby's brother but I didn't. I DON'T KNOW OKAY.
