If your plate number appears on the list, please coordinate with the concerned LTO Office. You may also choose an LTO District or Extension Office where you prefer to pick up your plate. Below is a way to track your replacement plate

- Due to a shortage of official CR paper, LTO is now issuing a temporary Certificate of Registration (CR).
This temporary CR is valid and can be used until the original CR is printed and released. - Once the official CR becomes available, you will be notified to claim it from your dealer or LTO office.
LTO Plate Claiming Problems After Status Check
After checking plate status, some vehicle owners still face claiming and follow-up problems. These are different from plate search errors and usually happen after the plate record or release status is already known.
Replacement Plate Not Yet Released
Some owners apply for a replacement plate because the original plate was lost, damaged, or needs replacement, but the new plate is still not ready.
Keep your replacement request documents and follow up with the LTO office where the request was filed. Ask if there is a claim date, pending requirement, or release list update.
Not Sure Where To Claim the Plate
Some motorists know their plate is available, but they are not sure if they should claim it from the dealer, LTO district office, or another releasing location.
Before visiting, confirm the exact claiming location with your dealer or the LTO office that handled the registration. Bring your OR, CR, valid ID, and authorization letter if someone else will claim it.
No Text or Call About Plate Release
Many owners wait for a message from the dealer or office, but no SMS, email, or call arrives even after a long waiting time.
Do not rely only on notification. Check your status again and follow up directly with the dealer or releasing office, especially if your registration has been completed for weeks or months.
Dealer Taking Too Long To Release Plate
In some cases, the plate may already be with the dealer, but the owner is not informed quickly or is asked to wait without a clear update.
Ask the dealer for a clear plate status and expected claiming date. Save your messages or follow-up records in case you need to escalate the concern to LTO.
Moved To Another City Before Plate Release
Some owners move to another city or province before their plate becomes available, making personal claiming difficult.
Contact the original dealer or registration office and ask about their claiming options. If a representative will claim it, prepare an authorization letter, valid IDs, and registration documents.
Plate Is Available But Owner Cannot Claim Personally
Some owners are busy, abroad, sick, or unavailable, so they cannot personally visit the dealer or LTO office to claim the plate.
Ask if authorized claiming is allowed. Usually, the representative may need an authorization letter, owner’s valid ID copy, representative’s valid ID, OR, and CR.
