Keynotes

Bernd Rücker | The co-founder and chief technologist of Camunda draws on over ten years of practical experience to show where low-code brings real benefits – and where it fails. Low-code is hype – but what is really behind it, he asks provocatively. Using clear examples and an assessment of the influence of AI, he explains why low-code only works when engineers remain in charge. Participants will gain a clear understanding and concrete guidelines for using low-code in a targeted and meaningful way. Michael Hichwa | Michael is Vice President of Software Development at Oracle and is considered one of the key figures behind Oracle APEX (Application Express) – Oracle's low-code platform. He originally co-developed APEX and has played a key role in shaping it over two decades. In the IT world, he stands for the vision of creating complex enterprise applications with simple, scalable and secure low-code technology. His work has made APEX one of the leading platforms for database-centric app development. Michael's KeynoteAre low-code application development platforms up to the AI era? | Michael onLinkedIn

The Organisers

DOAG's Development Community is essentially dedicated to eight main topics – from application modernisation to soft skills & methods, from Oracle APEX and Oracle DB-Dev to CI/CD & testing, etc. Always in focus: The relevance for practical day-to-day IT operations and the transfer of knowledge among those involved.

The Low-Code Association e.V. is the association of active low-code platform providers and service providers in German-speaking countries. The association promotes the further dissemination of modern low-code and no-code technologies and applications in various fields of application in a wide range of industries, both in the Berlin-Brandenburg region and nationally and internationally. The association also organises the German Low-Code Day. It will be held for the third time in 2025.
