Summary: Lois and Clark have a fun night during a White Snake concert.
A/N : Written for my English class. Songs “Rock and Roll Women”, “Come and Get it” and “Is This Love” by White Snake.
Clark was having his breakfast in the kitchen while his dog Shelby was resting in the floor when suddenly Lois barged on the farm.
“Guess What, Smallville! After standing in line for four hours I finally got tickets to the WhiteSnake concert we are dying to attend!”
“Don’t you mean the concert you were dying to attend, Lois?” Clark teased her making Lois shake her head.
“Whatever, Smallville. I got the tickets. That’s the point and you are coming with me.” Lois said with a silly smile on her face. “I can’t believe I actually got it. Do you know how many times I tried before without actually getting it? It’s a dream come true!”
“Lois, can’t we wait to celebrate the tickets later? I’m still having breakfast. It’s too early to have this kind of celebration in the morning.”
“If we wait that much, the excitement is gone, Smallville. No Way. Besides, maybe we could do something fun after the concert. Like a dinner or something?”
“Are you suggesting a date?” Clark asked amusedly. Lois stared at him and rolled her eyes.
“Yes, Clark. It’s been a while we don’t go out together. Well, I can’t really blame you since with our work at the Daily Planet and your other “work” we’ve been very busy lately.”
“I know, Lois. I’ll make it up for you. I promise.” He pulled her by the hands, as Lois was getting closer to his body. He gave her a very deep and passionate kiss on the lips, making Lois look in awe at him.
“You’d better be, mister. I don’t want to stay home when I can go out with my “super” boyfriend.” She winked at him with a smile. Clark chuckled as Lois sat next to him, already nibbling his breakfast.
“So, when will be the concert?”
“This Saturday.”
Clark stood up and opened the refrigerator as he took a jar of orange juice and put on the table, before siping some himself but before he could drink it, Lois stole the glass from him and drank a few sips.
“Thanks. I was thirsty.” She said drinking the drink without noticing Clark’s confused face.
“Hey, that was mine!” He protested a little bit annoyed. He sighed before picking another cup to drink the juice.
“Anyway, That’s the good news.” Lois announced after finishing the juice.
“There bad news too?” Clark inquired worriedly. “I don’t think I like the sound of that.”
“Oh. You have no idea. You will never guess who I run into while I was waiting in line.” Lois said sipping more juice for herself.
“Who? Clark frowned his face curiously.
“Dinah and Oliver.” Lois announced with a snarky smile. “I think they are dating as well but I never knew they were White Snake fans. Well, I think it’s Dinah. We’ve got some music taste in common. Anyhow, they invited themselves to come with us!”
“What? We have to go with them?” Clark asked frustrated. He was already making a list of things he could do with Lois, that included taking her to her favorite restaurant. But having Oliver and Dinah tagging along wasn’t part of the plan.
“Oliver offered to drive us in his limo at that night. With champagne and appetizers during the trip.”
“But we can’t go with them, Lois.” Clark explained as Lois looked at him bemused. “Okay, I already have some ideas for us to go before the concert, but that doesn’t involve the four of us. There’s only room for two.”
“What do you have in mind Smallville?” Lois asked getting interested.
“How about a nice dinner before we are going to the concert. Maybe we could go to your favorite restaurant at Little Bohemia. What do you think?”
“At the Dini’s ? I would love that, Clark.” Lois said kissing his cheek making her boyfriend blush. “Okay, I’ll call them then. We can hang out at the concert and they come back in Oliver’s limo. That sounds good for you?”
“Sounds perfect, Lois.”
“Thanks, Smallville.” Lois said after eating some chocolate bars that were around the table. “Okay, I’ll call them and make all the arrangements.
She stood up and picked her cell phone that was in her purse and started to dial. After a few minutes, somebody finally picked up.
“Oliver? Oh. Hi, Dinah. It’s, Lois. Yeah. I talked to him. We thought about it and decided it would be best if we met there. Clark has other plans I didn’t know about. But we can come back together. What do you think? Really?” She gave Clark’s the two thumbs up signal, telling him they agreed with his idea, making Clark smile. “Okay, then. We see you there, then. Bye.”
“So, it’s okay?” Clark said approaching his girlfriend, pulling her to his embrace again. “Can We have our dinner before the concert?”
“Yes, we can. Clark. Everything will be okay.” Lois said kissing him deeply on the lips. “And it’s better if you bring your “A” game, Smallville. I don’t expect anything less from you. No, after that surprise party you threw on my birthday last month.”
“I think I spoiled you too much, Lois.” Clark reminded her with a smile. “I shouldn’t have said anything.”
“Okay, Okay. You win.” Lois sighed before noticing the time. “I need to get going if I still want to buy the dress I want to use at the concert.” She said before quickly picking up her purse and kissing Clark on the lips. “I see you later, Honey. I need to buy this dress before going to the Planet.”
“See you later at the Planet?” Clark inquired as Lois just nodded with a silly grin on her face. She was never this happy before. But since she became aware of Clark’s powers and abilities after just a few months of dating, she let herself be freer and more fun around him. After so many heartbreaks and break ups, they sure needed some peace now.
Clark sighed at the look of Lois leaving him. It was the worst part of the day when they split up for some reason. He needed her like he needed oxygen to live. She was his link to humanity, his safe rock.
He stood up and walked to his room noticing he didn’t have any appropriate clothes to wear at the White Snake’s concert.
“Oh boy!” He exclaimed out loud looking at his wardrobe. Although he had improved from his red and blue combo and flannel shirts to very nice set of suits, that he was wearing now at his work at the Planet, he still didn’t have anything to wear that wouldn’t make Lois laugh at him. He would look like a geek. “It seems I also need to go shopping for clothes!”
Shelby had followed him and was looking curiously at his master. “Shelby, You know what Lois will do if I come dressed up in one of those suits right? And the red/blue combo is out of the picture.” Clark checked the time and noticed it was still early. He could have time to go shopping, before showing up for work.
Clark picked up his jacket, after feeding Shelby that was following him to remind his master to give him food before leaving. Clark finished his orange juice and then rushed in a red and blue blur straight to Metropolis, where he could buy some new clothes before headily to the Daily Planet to work with Lois.

Two days later, at the White Snake Concert. Dinah and Oliver were already there, in the VIP room waiting for Lois and Clark to show up, but they were late. Very late.
“I can’t believe those two!” Oliver complained checking his watch at any five minutes. “They will miss the whole thing if they don’t show up in five minutes.”
“Calm down, Ollie!” Dinah said patting on his shoulder. “There! They are here!”
“Why did you take so long?” Ollie complained moodily. “The show is about to start!”
Lois and Clark were both wearing black clothes, to attend to the concert. Lois was wearing a short dress, which could show her long and tanned legs and the cleavage between her breasts, besides a long pair of boots. New ones, since she threw away her old Stiletto ones. Clark on the other hand, was in black pants, grey shirt and a black leather coat, besides some very nice black shoes.
“I told you we would have a dinner before.” Clark pointed out as they took their seats. “It’s not my fault if they were too slow tonight.”
“And it’s not also our fault; the cab took forever to bring us here since Mr Caution here didn’t want to bring me here the fastest way.”
“Lois, we don’t need to argue about that again!” Clark said feeling exhausted. The night didn’t happen how he planned. Lois favorite restaurant was closed, so they decided to go to another one, next to the address they were. But everything was a disaster after disaster. The waiter book their order, took too long to bring the check and they had to catch a cab under the rain. Clark was hoping for the concert to save the night. So, Lois wouldn’t be angrier at him.
“Never mind, Clark. Can we just sit and enjoy the concert?” Lois asked as she noticed the members of the White Snake entering at the stage. When the first accords from Rock and Roll Women started to play.

The four started to dance to the music, excited with the concert and finally happy to let the disaster of the night away from their heads in the next two hours.
Clark pulled Lois’s body next to him as they started to dance together, closer.

Clark pulled Lois even closer, wrapping his hands on her waist as they kept dancing together. Dinah and Oliver were distracted making out on the big couch of the VIP room.

One hour later, during the intermission, they were drinking champagne together while waiting for the group to come back to stage. Lois and Clark had already made up and were happy as a clam together. Clark smiled at Lois who smiled back.
“So, what do you think, Smallville?” Lois asked while they were closer on the couch. “Are you enjoying the concert?”
“You know, Lois. Since you gave me that MIX CD three years ago, I have been listening to some of their songs.” He confessed. “They aren’t generally my kind of music, but I liked since the songs that are a mix between rock and love songs. I liked it very much.”
“That’s good to know, Clark.” Lois said giving him a quick kiss on his lips.
“Now, come here.” Clark said putting Lois on his arms. “I have an idea.”
“Clark, the show will re-start in a few minutes.” Lois reminded him confusedly. “What are you up to?”
“I know. Don’t worry, you won’t miss a thing!” Clark said with a wicked smile before flying out with Lois in his arms, for Dinah and Oliver’s surprise who exchanged confused glances.
When White Snake came back to the stage to sing their last song, Lois and Clark were in the best spot somebody could be to see the concert. Very close to the stage, in the backstage. Clark used his influence as a journalist from the Daily Planet to get backstage VIP tickets for him and Lois and didn’t tell her before. It was a surprise after all.
“Clark, how did you do that?” Lois asked surprisedly. “Backstage tickets? Wow. I’m impressed, Smallville.”
“Well, I have my secrets.” Clark answered with a wink. “Come on. Our song is about to start. I’ll tell you everything later.”
“Okay.” Lois look at him still suspicious as the band started to play Is This Love.

Lois wrapped her arms around his neck as they started to dance closer to each other to their song. That was the first song they heard on the radio when they started going out as a couple, and quickly became their song.

The group finished the presentation of the concert and was ready to go backstage when they noticed Lois and Clark kissing. They didn’t even notice the concert was over before they heard somebody clearing his throat.
Clark introduced Lois to the members of the group as Lois blushed like a fangirl she was of them.
Oliver and Dinah joined them later, after all Oliver Queen was very well connected as well. And after having a few drinks with the band, they came back home in Oliver’s limo. And they celebrated the night.
But the night was not over. Not for Lois and Clark anyway. They had other plans in mind and that didn’t involve sleeping.
