I finished Twilight, and while it was an enjoyable enough read, I'm not finding myself as sucked into it as I thought I would be. Probably because I've had so much RL crap going on that I would start reading and find myself going "OMFG BELLA YOU ARE SEVENTEEN GET SOME PERSPECTIVE." Which likely means I am thisclose to putting a rocking chair on my porch and telling those damn kids to get off my lawn.

There is, however, one thing I would like to get off my chest, and that is the complete and utter lack of reaction when Edward admits that he's been sneaking in her room and watching her sleep at night. I'll even cut Edward a generous amount of slack...the kid's been deprived/deprived himself of anything resembling a romantic relationship for almost a century, and he's probably a little rusty when it comes to basic socialization with someone he's attracted to, and how to express that attraction.

It's like the sweet but socially inept nerdy guy, who's never had a girlfriend before, and then when he finally gets one he completely worships the ground she walks on and she comes over and he's like "OH HAI I SAVED ALL OF YOUR STRAY HAIRS THAT I COULD FIND AND MADE THIS DECORATIVE PILLOW TO REMIND ME OF YOU WHEN YOU'RE NOT AROUND." Creepy, but his heart's in the right place, maybe.

What really gets me is that when Edward goes "Oh yeah, I've totes been watching you sleep at night and counting the number of times you say my name" Bella's reaction is first "OMG I AM SO EMBARRASSED THAT YOU HEARD WHAT I SAID WHILE I WAS ASLEEP" and then "Sweet! So you won't mind staying when I am conscious and aware of your presence, since you've been doing that the whole time anyway!" And then it is never made mention of again.

Um. Okay?

Anyway, I would now like to direct your attention to Growing Up Cullen, because it is hilarious and even after reading the book I can still imagine Edward pressing flowers in his room. ANGRILY.

My mom's watching "Dancing With The Stars", and I guess they've been having kids on doing ballroom dancing, throughout the season. It's pretty cute-there was one team (it feels weird to call young kids a "couple", so team it is) that couldn't have been more then 8 or 9 that did the samba to "Istanbul was Constantinople", and I was all "squee!" and then I came back out into the dining room.

And then I hear the opening strains of "Phantom of the Opera", and after I'd listened long enough to make sure it wasn't just a commercial or something, I went running back into my mom's room.

Mom: **Is already smirking at me**

Me: You were just counting down the seconds until I made it back in here, weren't you?

Mom: I kind of figured you'd be in to see this one.

I'm so predictable.

Y'know, it used to be that I could code a layout that looked totally fine in IE and all screwy in Firefox and now it is THE OTHER WAY AROUND.

Which I suppose is something of an advancement in skills, but is still incredibly frustrating.

I just finished the comp for my fourth design, ever. Still waiting for it to sink in that I do this for a living now.

I don't know how familiar any of y'all are with Viva la Bam, but there is this one episode where Bam & co. have moved into some new digs, and his mom's decorated the place, and Bam and Ryan Dunn were out riding ATVs in the mud and they come in and get scolded for tracking mud onto a new rug, which of course prompts Dunn to start rolling his mud-coated self around on the rug while April's screaming "Is he kidding?! IS HE KIDDING?!?!"

My point being that this is how I've felt for the last two weeks, with this ginormous project being Ryan Dunn covered in mud and rolling all over the expensive rug that is my life. I AM DREAMING IN CSS. That can't be healthy.

Add to that tax season (I got my taxes in the mail at 5:35pm on the 15th, because the IRS kept rejecting what I filed online), and the divorce paperwork (we have to get it all filed tomorrow or the court date has to be rescheduled).

Speaking of the divorce...getting married cost $50 total for the wedding (at the courthouse, not counting the tres chic maternity dress I bought to get married in) and the marriage license, and there was only one piece of paper involved. Dissolution of marriage: $300 to file plus $120 for the four hour parenting workshop we were required to take, 10 multi-page documents to be filled out, notarized and filed, and the stress of having to trust my ex to be responsible for something that has a deadline and does not involve a guild and a level 72 paladin.

It should be harder to GET married than it is to get NOT married.

Is it any wonder I broke out in hives last weekend?

And now, something that makes me happy: CHARLIE THE UNICORN 2. DASRIGHT. "There's no stopping the vortex, Charlie!"

If you haven't seen the first one, I highly recommend it. Just make sure you watch all the way to the end.

I already thought Ellen Page was pretty freakin' awesome, but she just got even more awesome. I've totally got a big fat girlcrush on her now.

GUYS, I SAW A UFO THE OTHER NIGHT WHILE I WAS DRIVING TO THE BOY'S HOUSE. It was this really big bright orange light in the sky that was staying in one place, so I thought maybe Venus was really really bright that night or something, and I watched it while I was driving for like a minute. And then I looked away for two seconds and I looked back and IT WAS GONE COMPLETELY.

Wow, I'm rereading that and it doesn't sound nearly as exciting as it was. OMGWTFUFO. I SWEAR.
