You know that squishy noise people sometimes make when they rub their eye? That noise is the absolute worst.

I had a hankering to write. I came on here and read a lot of my old entries. I think the last time I posted was around last year? Let me check. Yeah, a little less than a year ago. I would still really like to start a blog on a bigger domain, like Wordpress but keep this as more of a personal journal.

The only life updates I can think of right now stem from one major occurrence, or person. Paul and I got back together. I doubt anyone is currently keeping up with my dating history on this thing but a brief run through: Paul was a dickhead. We tried to get back together many times and it just never worked out. I don't know if it was just that he had changed, or we both did, or that everything around us did. Regardless, we started talking again in October of last year and have been officially dating since January. Last month I moved in with him (in Rhode Island -- a whole other state!). It's been good. It hasn't been perfect and honestly I'm not sure if we would even still be together if it wasn't for his therapist, Craig. I started going with Paul to his therapy appointments midway through our relationship and started sitting in on the sessions as per his therapist's request.

Unfortunately I had to take a job doing similar work in Rhode Island (helping people with mental disabilities * group home) but for much less pay. $3 less actually. And went for a month unemployed so right now, the financially struggle is real but things will work out eventually.

Luckily I'm only 45 minutes away from my family/friends in Massachusetts but with money being tight and starting a new job with the same hours as Paul I haven't really been able to visit much. It's kind of weird, only knowing him. I'm sure I will be grateful for the opportunity to make new friends and meet new people and pretty much get to reinvent myself here but right now it's a little meh only having him. Don't get me wrong, I love him and love spending time with him but also kind of feel lonely sometimes. And in serious need of girl friends.

Hopefully I'll be posting again soon. I want to make a post of pics, etc. Adios.

In a big dip lately. I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to pull myself out of this one. I always say that, but then I do. The worst part about being alone is times like these. Having no one to force you out of your bed of wallowing self despair. All along I thought I was the strong one but it's almost clear to me now I think I've always been the weakest.

Real update coming but I just wanted to share this with you guys. If you don't know what Influenster is, y'all should definitely check it out. It's like one of those monthly subscription services, but it's free! You won't always get "VoxBox" every month, it depends on your interests and stuff like that, but for free it's worth a shot. My friend does this and she got some really nice stuff in her box so I asked her to send me an invite. You need to be invited to join the site, but it's pretty easy. GRANDPARENTS I live with them. They kind of view me as a black sheep. It's not fun but I've never felt good enough for them so I'm used to it.
PARENTS I currently do have contact with them but there's a very tumultuous past there. They kind of use me and I kind of let them because sometimes I like to pretend I have an almost normal family that cares about me.
MELISSA My sister. Again, a bad past. One example- she slept with my best friend who she knew I was in love with. That was when she was an alcoholic stoner and used me to get all my friends. Since then she's pulled herself together and had a kid but no matter how HARD I TRY she will never want to have a real relationship with me.
MAKENZIE My beautiful neice who I Love to death. I would do absolutely anything for her. Last September I threw her a huge ($1000+) Frozen themed birthday party. I don't know who in their right mind does that for a 2 year old but I know she had an amazing time.
CHARLIE My ??? Friend? Sometimes? We go on again off again talking. Sometimes we're more than friends if you get me.. I will always love him and he will never love me back.</b></span></span>

Okay, so.. my life is about to become pretty busy starting like... next week, but I'm definitely still going to make time to post here. I'm not really sure how much you guys actually know about me, or where I left off on this blog, or anything like that.. so I just thought I would take the time to do a little "about me" "update" sort of thing. Also, I really totally need to give this layout some lovin'.

Side note: Holy shit my dog is being so annoying right nowskldjflkasjdfaije.

Where to start? Basics.
* Everyone calls me Brooke. I know I used to go by Layla, and on a lot of my social networking sites (i.e. Facebook, Twitter) my name is listed as Meow Zers. My birth name is Tiffany. Call me anything but Tiffany.
* I'm about to turn 25. I take the whole "quarter life crisis" thing to a whole other level of seriousness. I'm scared of waking up one day, 40 years old, and having nothing and no one.
* I still work at the same place I've been working at for the past 3 years, but recently I got a promotion and I now handle the catering business end of things. Well, I suppose I assist in handling the catering end of things, because there's the "Big Deal" and I'm her assistant. My job is not at all difficult but sometimes, as I'm sure you'll come to learn if you read my posts, the people I work with can stress me out in a number of ways.
* I no longer live with my roommate, or my parents. My parents moved about 2-3 hours away. It's definitely been a good thing for me. Now I live with my grandparents, which is a lot better. I'm pretty happy with my living situation right now. I still pay rent and all the bills but it's a lot less bullshit. My grandparents are getting pretty old.. they're kind of losing it actually so sometimes it can be kind of difficult.. I've been helping them out with cooking dinner and the let me use their car to run errands.. laundry.. etc.
* Still trying to live that healthy lifestyle, even though I've fallen off the gym schedule for a good 6 months now. I still eat pretty healthy but I cannot wait to get back into going to the gym everyday. My sister and I are doing this weight loss competition starting tomorrow, so hopefully I can stick with it for a good long time, because I can use her gym membership if I go with her.
* I'm pretty sure I've gone in depth on this blog in the past about the situation with my sister and why we weren't in contact for a really long time. When I found out she got pregnant we started talking again, and she had her baby about 6 months ago. If you follow me on any other site I most about a million pictures of Makenzie.

Figures I'm so against animal cruelty and I happen to be at one of the worst circuses for it. Google "Shrine circus animal cruelty". Not pretty. All the charges, videos even. People are fucking disgusting and I literally want to throw up for having spent money. Charity for children all well and good but at what expense? Even the performers, why does society get such a kick out of watching people risk their lives for our entertainment? At least, though, people have a say. Animals can only limp, not cry out. Fuck. Sorry for the rant.
