I've been saying I would post fanart for ages, and it's taken me a while, but here it is :) It's basically all that I've been doing since the last fanart I posted (which was Bella's Lullaby I think). If you are watching me on DeviantArt this is old news, so feel free to skip this ^_^

Okay, first of all, I want to wish a happy belated birthday to dear paperdollgirl and a happy birthday to neverlady!!

And Vita, I haven't heard from you in a long time but I hope you're having a great birthday wherever you are!!! *HUGS*

I thought it would be better to answer storylikeascar's comments on my last entry and all the replies by just making a new post, just so it wouldn't be too confusing with all the comments ;) So here we go, my thoughts on Breaking Dawn.

Okay, first of all, I think one of the main reasons why I enjoyed the book was that I never ever, ever expected anything remotely like Harry Potter.
One of the things that seemed to bother you all was that there was no show-down at the end and that SM didn't have the guts to kill off any of her characters.

But never has SM made me suspect that she was going to kill off any character at all, so when she didn't, I wasn't surprised or disappointed.
With JKR I was always thinking "omg who is she going to kill now?" (I mean that in a good way btw!) because she had been doing it since book one, when she killed Harry's parent's for crying out loud! She killed Cedric, she killed Sirius, and then Dumbledore. Of course there was going to be a bloodbath in the seventh book! Death is ALWAYS present in the Harry Potter books, always. A huge part of the books consists in how Harry deals with all the death around him.
But I have to ask, when in all previous three books has SM ever shown any inclination to kill any character?? The only one who died was James and it was self-defense! Death is represented in a completely different way in Twilight, because it is linked to the Vampires, not to, you know, actually dying.

I didn't mind all the mind games at the end, and SM not being a very gifted writer, she never managed to create a proper build up to a "final battle", like JKR did. At no point did I feel the tension you could almost touch in the HP books before the battle of Hogwarts or during the whole of HBP which is nothing but a giant built up to Dumbledore's death. So again, I wasn't expecting anything super amazing to happen with the Volturi.
I thought Bella would end up either killing them all or protecting them all and that's it.

I basically wanted four things to happen in the final book, after reading Eclipse:
1. I wanted Bella to become a vampire: CHECK
2. I wanted Bella and Edward to have sex: CHECK!
3. I wanted Jacob to imprint on someone other than freaking Bella: CHECK
4. I wanted for none of the main characters to die: CHECK

I laughed a lot at Bella's sex addiction (for lack of a better word, cause after she does it the first time it's like she can't think of anything else LOL), I loved when she became a vampire and beat the crap out of Jacob, I laughed a lot when Renesmee was born (clearly I wasn't supposed to laugh at that, but the whole blood scene really tickled me lol) because I kept thinking "how in the hell are they going to do a PG13 movie with THIS in it?"...

I didn't think the book was good of course, but NONE of them are good books for God's sake! That doesn't mean I don't enjoy reading them though, and Breaking Dawn was really enjoyable to read for me. In fact, you can pretty much see my own reactions as I was reading it reflected in this "review" by Cleolinda (you've probably read it though): Breaking Dawn by Cleo
I had almost the exact reactions (out loud, too lol) to the book and I had a great time reading it. When Bella starts to feel funny during the honey moon I was like "OMG she is pregnant, omg omg omg LMAO". And when Jacob sees Renesmee for the first time I laughed SO freaking hard because of course we knew he had just imprinted... ON BELLA'S NEWBORN FREAK BABY!!! LOL! Come on!

The thing with Breaking Dawn, too, is that it was a completely different experience from Twilight for me. And it did something that I am very grateful for, and that was bring me closure, which I needed. I am now no longer obsessed with Twilight the way I was before. Breaking Dawn kind of wrapped it all up for me and now Twilight is just fun. I love drawing it because it's very... "drawable", and I will be looking forward to all the movies because I really think they will be fun and not as corny as the books (though still pretty cheesy, I'm sure).

I didn't mean to compare Twilight with Harry Potter so much, but it's a lot of people's argument that SM should've been more JKR-like, so I guess I couldn't help it ;) But I'm not a fan of comparing books like that, just as I was not a fan of comparing HP with LotR, which happened A LOT when HP started to become popular.

Okay, enough ranting ;) My conclusion to all this is that my heart belongs to the Harry Potter books, but Twilight is a whole lotta fun!

Wow, it's been like 15 weeks since my last update, how crazy is that?
Well I'm back from the *ded* I guess!

I honestly don't know why I haven't updated here before, I guess I just... I dunno, these things tend to pile up one on top of the other; you don't update in a week and then you feel bad for not updating so you still won't update and before you know it 14 weeks have gone by and now it's just ridiculous lol!

First of all, a huge THANK YOU to all of you who wished me a happy birthday!!!!!!! I think I answered to all your posts to say thank you, but if I missed any of you, THANK YOU!
You guys are unbelievable; I disappear for 14 weeks and you still post happy birthdays and send me birthday wishes and emails and everything... I don't deserve you, I really don't.

I had a nice day and nice presents, but I gotta say, I'm starting to turn into one of those people who actually dread their birthdays and get moody and all that. I did not like turning 27, I can tell you. Oh well, at least I still look young, especially with all the stuff from Shanalogic I own lol I'll make a picspam with Bday presents soon, I miss picspams.

So what have I been up to you may ask? Well, I have been drawing. A LOT.
It's getting easier now, too. At first when I started again like a year or two ago (does anyone even remember?) it was excrutiatingly difficult, but the more I draw, the easier it gets. I guess everyone knew that but I was starting to wonder.
Rafa says I have to stop drawing fanart and start getting original and creating characters or something, but honestly, drawing fanart is still pretty hard for me, even if I don't have to create the characters, backgrounds and situations from scrap.
I do want to make a comic book in the near future so I'll have to start thinking.

I have also been watching some movies: The Incredible Hulk, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Cristal Skull, Hancock, Hellboy 2, Stardust, Speed Racer, Sex and the City... and I think that's all. I absolutely LOVED Stardust, I liked SatC a lot (despite some uncalled-for cheesiness at times), Hancock and The Incredible Hulk were okay (though Ed Norton and Liz Tyler were great), I really hated Hellboy 2, and I thought Indiana Jones and Speed Racer were kind of... blah, you know?

As for Breaking Dawn, I guess I'm like the only person in the world who liked it. I don't know what everyone else was expecting, but I was expecting Twilight (that is: cheesiness, corny dialogues, lots of Edward, crazy plot twists and mediocre writing) and I wasn't disappointed. I actually had a great time reading it, not like with New Moon, which was PAINFUL. I kept yelling at the book, like "OMG NO WAIIII!!" and "WHOOOO GO EDWARD!" and stuff like that lol! There was a of nervous laughter as well XD

Well, I think I have talked enough for today. I'm going to post some fanart to lion_lamb now and see if I can get a few comments to lift up my ego *evil laugh*

I finished The Chronicles of Narnia the other day! I loved it VERY MUCH, but I was very upset by the ending. I don't know how many of you have read the whole thing, but if you have, were you okay with the ending? (I'm referring to the ending of "The Last Battle"). I won't say anything else because I don't want to spoil the ending for anyone who hasn't read it. But I'd like to hear your thoughts if you have read it ;)

Narnia and Twilight

I'm reading The Chronicles of Narnia for the first time! Can you believe I had never read them before? I've had a book with the complete series for ages, but I never got around to actually reading it. So far I've read "The Magician's Nephew", "The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe" and I'm finishing "The Horse and His Boy". I'm really enjoying C.S. Lewis' writing style, people don't write like that anymore...

Anyway, I was surprised at how similar the first movie (The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe) and the book were! There are very little changes. I did like the movie but for some reason, it doesn't work as well as the book does. I found it a bit boring for some reason.
I wonder if Prince Caspian is already out here in Spain, I'd really like to see it!

Oh and I just watched the MTV video Spunk Ransom is Catching On and I laughed so much!
That moment when Larry from MTV says "The Spunk Ransom phenomenon..." and you can see RPattz thinking "holy hell, I know where this is going" and Kristen thinking "What the...?" was priceless!
A good lesson for RPattz: be careful what you say to a reporter, it might snowball completely out of control! Clearly Rpattz doesn't really want to be called Spunk and you could see a little moment of terror in his face when he realized that the Twilight fandom is crazy enough to actually start calling him SPUNK FUCKING RANSOM!!! LAAAWWL!!!! Priceless!

Gawwd I can't believe I finished it finally! And look, it's only 4:19am! /sarcasm
So yeah, when I get carried away, I get carried away ^_^

"I'd like to hear you play," I volunteered.
"It's settled then." Esme pushed him toward the piano. He pulled me along, sitting me on the bench beside him.

The Twilight movie clip!!! OMG *flails*

- Bella TOTALLY MACED JAMES!!! LAWL!!! That's such a Bella thing to do!!

- GAWD James is so effing hot, I love his delivery when he's talking to Bella.

- Again with James: did you see the cool way in which he landed the first time Edward knocks him????? LOVE IT!

- I don't know how I feel about the fact that Bella seems to be conscious during the whole thing. I liked the fact that she didn't see the fight at all. And in the clip, is the venom already acting? Because she doesn't seem to be bothered by it.

- I loved how poor Edward looks at her when he arrives, like "omg that smells DELICIOUS!!!" and she's like "YIKES!" lool

- Obviously there is a bit in the middle which we didn't get to see, which is cool because when the time comes to see the movie, we'll enjoy it more I think ;)

Also, MTV awards "ensembles": SPUNK RANSOM WINS, Kristen Stewart semi-FAILS. Sorry, but the black hair and the black outfit... She could be a tinsy bit more feminine imo. But she's gorgeous and she is kinda matches with RPattz, so I'll give her points for that ^_^

This entry is about a drawing in progress so feel free to skip it; I'm basically writing this for myself Lol!

Okay, here goes:
Holy shit I cannot believe I finally finished the sketch for the freaking lullaby drawing. I started it like a month ago and I've been throwing it away and then starting it again ever since. I swear I thought it could not be done. But I took a picture of Rafa the other day sitting on my piano for reference and that helped A LOT. Gawd I feel like I just layed an egg or something! Lol!
Now the hard part: coloring it! I was thinking of very muted colors, like, a whole lot of white and pastels. Because the Cullens house is very bright and very white. Hmm. It should even be kind of dreamy, but I don't really know how to do "dreamy".

Meh, I'll just do what I always do, make it up as I go along ^_^

PS: I LURVE the new HBP pictures!!! I can't wait to re-open the Harry/Ginny Network and start posting them!!!!

PPS: I'm listening to Yurima's "The River Flows In You" because I think it's the perfect song for Bella's Lullaby.

LOOOOOOL
I won! I won the damn contest!
Seriously, it was the funniest/scariest/craziest thing ever!

First, there were like 300 people crammed up in a place that could only hold like 100, so they removed the chairs and we all had to sit down on the floor. It was full of fangirls between 16 and 19 years old (but there were a fair few who were my age, too) that would NOT STOP SCREAMING every time someone said something about SM, or Edward or ANYTHING. But I have to admit, the craziness was infectious and I laughed a lot, and even screamed a little ^_^

So anyway, they had this video prepared on a huge screen with the entries to the contest (ana_evans they showed yours!! Were you there??) and whenever the fangirls liked a drawing they would scream their little lungs out. They screamed A LOT at mine which made me blush a lot, but which was absolutely AWESOME. And then the video showed the finalists and then the winner... which was me! LOOOL! I had to stand up, take a bow and go to the front and even though I haven't been this embarrassed in my life, I have to admit I enjoyed the cheering and the fangirl screams A LOT.

Rafa (yes, I brought the poor guy along; can you imagine him sitting on the floor surrounded by all the fangirls??) took some pictures of me (under the cut) and even though at first we was probably wishing the earth would swallow him, when they announced me he laughed a lot and I think he ended up having a good time. He probably enjoyed the fact that I was SO FREAKING EMBARRASSED loool! There should be a video of the event and pictures or something posted at some time over at crepusculo-es.com, so I'll post a link or something when it's up. There were two other winners for the poetry contest and the fanfic one.

OH OH, and what did they give us for winning you may ask? Well, the big prize were tickets for an early screening (or the premiere, we aren't really sure) of the Twilight movie here in Madrid!! Awesome, right?? I'm a bit bummed because I just realized the movie will probably be in Spanish (i HATE HATE HATE dubbing) but still, it's pretty good!
They also gave us copies of a book called "Ghost Girl", that looked pretty cute, and a poster with the cover of the Spanish version of Breaking Dawn (which is the same as the American one).

So now, on to the pictures!!

So of course, this is the moment when I see my name on the screen and I'm wishing I could be anywhere else LOOL! But then I got over it! LMAO!

That's me with the webmaster of Crepusculo-es.com. He's like a freaking celebrity; all the girls were asking for his autograph, and screaming his name... Really crazy! He's like a Spanish version of Emerson from Mugglenet. And he plays Edward in the Spanish Twilight and New Moon fan trailers (which you can see here and here) so I'm sure that helped lol!

Here's when they uncovered the cover (no pun intended) of the Spanish Breaking Dawn... and it fell on top of them. lol

Twilight Drawing: Encounter

I finished my last drawing!!!!!
It's Twilight again, but I don't think you're bored yet, right? Lol!

This isn't actually what I had planned to draw next; I just started doodling Edward just to see if I could, and then Bella came next, and then I thought why not add Jasper and Alice in there? I have never drawn Jasper before and I love drawing Alice.

I think this is the closest I've ever been to drawing them the way I actually imagine them when I read the books. Edward's hair is down and he has messy bangs. He looks scrawny at first but then if you look a bit closer you see he's actually buff. Bella is as I always draw her, maybe a bit prettier because I gave her make up (I imagine she probably uses a bit of mascara and lip gloss). Now Jasper's hair looks more like RPattz from the movie, but that's how I actually imagine him! I never thought of him as having longer hair or very curly. And he's a bit more "tan" and more has more muscle. And Alice is just pixie-like! Cute hair, cute clothes, spiky eyebrows, big eyes and pouty lips.

Salomé I hope you like this Edward too!!! ;) I remember you told me once you actually thought my Edwards were hot, so I'm always trying not to disappoint you there!!

Catching up on lost

I'm finally all caught up on Lost! I think it's my favourite tv show right now but I hate the suspense, that's why I like to wait until I have a bunch of episodes to watch all together.

Anyway, I'm putting all my thoughts behind a cut; I'm afraid I missed all YOUR thoughts on the last episodes because I didn't want to get spoiled, so if you want to add anything here, I'll love you forever ;)

I'm just going to write these thoughts as they come to my mind, ok?

- What is up with Jack and Claire's dad being in Jacob's cabin WITH Claire?! I really wasn't expecting that and it was actually kind of scary!! So is Jack's dad a ghost or what? Although he wouldn't be the first one...

- Why oh why can't any fast forward have a happy ending?! I was so happy with Jack and Kate's FF until it turned sour. Do you think that was the beginning of the first FF we saw of Jack wanting to kill himself with the beard and all? Well at least we know that in THAT one Kate wasn't going back to Sawyer but to Aaron.

- Is it crazy that I'm loving Ben more and more? He's turning into quite the James Bond character!! Also, big stand up ovation to whoever said in the writer's room "What the hell, let's kill Alex". Seriously, I was like "There's no way they're gonna kill her on a tv show, she's just a teenage girl!" but BAM!! THEY DID! LOOOL! I was like "NOOO WAII!!!" Very few tv shows or movies would dare to do that.

- JIN IS GOING TO DIE?! WHAT THE HELL?! Which leads me to ask, is there any chance that the future we have been seeing can be altered? Cause it really, REALLY sucks that they would kill Jin. I mean REALLY. I'd rather kill Sun to be honest, she can be such a bitch when she wants to. But I LOOOOVED the FF in which she totally figuratively bitch-slaps her dad. That made up for her being mean to Juliet in the past.

- I looooooove poor Juliet!!! She's so damn sweet but so cool and so gorgeous and Ben just keeps smacking her around! I really, really love her, I think she might be my favourite character right now.

- Is it normal that I ship EVERYTHING??? I ship Jack/Kate, Sawyer/Kate, Jack/Juliet... Seriously, I love and enjoy all of these equally! Am I the only one?

- I swear I almost cried when Hugo decides to go with Locke and Ben, and Sawyer says "You harm so much as one hair on his curly head, I'll kill you". Now I ship Sawyer/Hurley too lool!

- OMG I hope Ben doesn't kill Penny!!! I love Penny so much!!

- Michael, Michael... WHY IN THE HELL DID YOU TELL WALT?!!! Gawd!!

I can't wait for the finale now, I think I'll go make some icons in the meantime ;)

- First: HAPPY BIRTHDAY albiondreams!!! I hope you had a great day dear!

- I've been helping my mom grade some exams, and my head hurts from trying to figure out the handwriting of some of these kids! Gawd! I don't know how teachers do it, but my mom is so used to it, she understood everything perfectly!

- I got my stuff from Shanalogic this week!! YAAAAY!!! The cutest things ever, I'm so in love with the earrings and the hairpins! I sent Shana this photo for her "Happy Customers" section ^_^

- I've been watching Pride and Prejudice (the BBC one of course, not the other) and I am so in love with the frocks and the landscapes and the characters! It all seemed so simple back then...

- Have you guys seen all the new HQs from Order of the Phoenix? I love them to bits, but why in the hell aren't we getting ANYTHING from Half-Blood Prince?!!? Only reports of scenes cut, or quotes about kissing... It's ridiculous! I'm still uploading stuff for the HGNetwork and it's going SO SLOW it's not even funny: it's taken me more than 5 hours to upload a single folder with manipulations!!! I don't know if it's my internet conexion or what, but it shouldn't take that long!

I have really weird feelings about art theft and redistribution and stuff like that.
For example, I am fully aware that legally anything I don't do from scratch does not belong to me, and hence I never ask credit for my icons or anything, really.
Still, it bothers me to find a wallpaper of mine on this website, posted without permission when I very nicely asked on the entry where I posted the wallpaper to please not re-post or re-distribute it.
I know I can't do anything, and I'm not even gonna try (I also think they post my icons there quite often), but I can't help but feel... a bit irritated.

And then browsing through LJ today I found this community which is using my Twilight drawings as headers. But I have no idea how to feel about that. Of course I felt a kind of jolt when I saw the drawings there, but it has been my experience that drawings are often used as regular images on icons, wallpapers, headers etc without asking permission. I know I wouldn't mind in the least seeing icons made of my fanart (as long as I was credited somewhere), with or without permission.
EDIT: Problem solved! I spoke to the maintainer and she was very nice and I told her I didn't mind (because I really don't, actually). So that's that :)

Not long ago I also stumbled upon a girl who had made Twilight wallpapers out of my own Twilight wallpapers! lol
But I did post on her journal telling her to, you know, remove my work from there (it looked as though it was made with Paint, it was awful).

Right now I'm uploading the WHOLE HGNetwork again, because we are switching servers, and my internet conexion is being a total bitch. It's taken me half an hour to upload the folder with our affiliate's buttons, and we have like 20. Now I'm uploading the manipulations and I KNOW it's going to take 3 hours at least, because there are like thousands.
Meh, I'll just leave the computer on and go to sleep while the stuff is uploading...

Twilight Trailer Pic Spam

Well I just watched the Twilight trailer and I think a good way of posting my thoughts on it, is to make a pic spam! I love pic spams so much *lol*

Well my first impression was that I loved it. I really did. Every time Rob came on the screen I drooled and forgot to breathe a bit, and I really, really like the photography and the colors. I kept thinking it's going to be so easy to make icons and fanart out of this movie! *lol*

After watching the trailer a couple (or more) times *ahem* I did notice other things. For example, the use of handheld camera. In the scene in Edward's room it was especially noticeable. I'm not sure how I feel about it, but I trust Catherine Hardwicke so I reserve judgement until I have actually seen the movie. Same goes for the weird camera angles, like when Emmett is saying "She's not one of us". Again, not sure how I feel about it, but I won't allow myself to start thinking negatively: if the angles work (and in that particular scene it seemed to work I guess) then I'm okay with it.
Now let's get on with the pictures, shall we?

#01 Big moment!! "How long have you been seventeen?" I really like her face, like, she's putting two and two together. She reminds me a lot of Natalie Portman for some reason. Anyway, I was a big distracted here looking at Edward, who's looking kind of... well, cross-eyed *lol*

#02 OMG Check out Edward actually HUNTING! I'd rather he was hunting a mountain lion that Bambi, but whatever LOOOL!! Acording to one of the thousands of videos we've seen lately, the movie begins with the Cullens hunting so I guess this was a sneak peek ;)

#03 She's not one of you Emmett!! You tell him!!! Oooooh look, he's hungry too!

#04 Well holy shit. My pants just fell out, excuse me. @_@
I didn't really get this when I first saw the trailer (yes, I am THAT stupid!) but then I looked at the caps and saw his eyes... and something clicked in my head! That is the sexy/dangerous/thirsty look!!!!! It looks as if he could just tear that car door apart at any second!

#05 Oh my, yes, another breath-stopping moment. Catherine's right, we may need to bring our own first aid kit to see the movie, because we're going to be hyperventilating QUITE A LOT. Anyway, could this moment possibly be the famous "Mind over matter" moment in which he moves his lips over her neck and says something like "It's much easier now"?! He doesn't seem to be aiming at her mouth, he's titling his head to much I think.

#06 Weird moment: when I see this I can't help but think that when they were filming that moment there were a ton of Twilight Moms standing among the trees over the hill in the background taking pictures of the actors!

#08 I LOVE this camera angle. And look at Edward's expression! He's bewildered, he can't believe he's doing it!! Un-fucking-believable.

#09 And look at how lovely Kristen looks here!! I really love her as Bella. She really does a very good *dazzled* expression.

#10 And of course, the source of all the *dazzle*... My God, look at him... He's... glorious. Why did they make him look so weird in that new promo picture, I wonder?

#11 What's that on his wrist? Does anyone know? Also, they way the both of them are standing there is kind of awkward, isn't it? Or is it just me?
I love his shirt by the way. And what are all those clippings and pictures on the window and the wall? I wonder if they have a story... His room is REALLY cool, I have to say. I love the black and white scheme.

#12 And possibly my favourite screencap of all... LOOK AT THAT MISCHIEVOUS GRIN!!!!!!! And those eyelashes, they go on forever!!!!! Plus, you can totally tell she's absolutely dazzled at this point. He has GREAT lips...

#13 "OMFG WHAT IS HAPPENING?!! WHHHEEEEEEE!!!!!!!" Kristen could look a bit more... surprised here LOOL!! Actually, Rob looks more surprised than her! LOL! I hope they make this so that we won't all burst out laughing when the go out the window... It looks like he's flying for crying out loud!

Yes indeed.
I am weak.

And I ended up buying all those cute little thingies on Shanalogic.
But take a look at them and tell me, would you have resisted??

I'm working on my commission now (yay!) and I think it's going well. I just finished the lineart and now I'm going to start coloring, but it's gonna be tough because it's supposed to be nighttime, raining and with a full moon so the light and the rain are going to be interesting to draw *lol* I have also drawn the thing in a rather unusual perspective (for me anyway) and so figuring out the skyline and all that stuff has been... challenging to say the least.

Oh! Oh! Oh! I am also doing a fantastic Harry Potter meme my friend Finduriel wrote in her blog, and seriously, it's the best HP meme I have done in ages. I translated it and I will post it here soon so that you guys can do it. I'm doing it as an art meme, that's why it's taking me so long ;)

Shopping Picspam

I haven't done a picspam in a while, have I?
I went to H&M yesterday and bought a lot of super cute shirts, so there you go, a nice shopping picspam :)

This one is actually from Springfield. I'm not very fond of that store because it's like a more expensive copy of H&M but that shirt was so damn cute and sooo comfortable!

These are two things; a white shirt and that jacket thingy.

I LOVE the lower part of the shirt sooo much!!

So now I'm going to Shanalogic to buy myself some earrings and something for my mom (because her birthday's the 11th and so instead of buying two presents for her (bday and mother's day) I just buy a big one). I am SO very much in love with these... Well, I'm in love with pretty much every single thing they sell there but I've gotta control myself...

I'm also dying to buy a new bedspread but I can't find anything I like online. I'll end up having to go to Ikea because I like theirs and they are pretty cheap, but I hate going there because I always end up in a huge traffic jam on the way back. :\
