I was wrong about not being able to edit the rich text in the Notes view. You can select text, right click, and select from very basic formatting and list options.
It's a useful, very customizable database and hierarchical list-maker. Bullet-proof, hard-working. A little old-school (very tedious to use the search feature when getting multiple hits—but if you get to know the sort feature, then you can see multiple results in all their detail; appearance seems dated). Used as an outliner, there is no continuous view (as in the MS Word Outline View). Sorry, I can't compare it to the competition. I've been using it for my address database for about a million years exclusively. My version 5.1.1 does not allow you to edit the rich text in the Notes field. Don't know if this has been handled. Does not have the more modern internal hyperlinking or tagging abilities for more advanced work in creating workspace views. But what do you want for this price, right?
