Does Linkyy slow down my site?
The two frontend scripts total just 7.2KB raw (under 4KB gzipped) and load asynchronously. They have zero impact on page rendering. The heatmap overlay only loads for admin users who toggle it on — your visitors never see or load it.
Does Linkyy use cookies?
No. Linkyy doesn't set any cookies and works entirely without them. If your site requires a consent flow for other reasons, you can enable manual mode and call Linkyy.init() to start tracking only after consent is given.
What data does Linkyy collect?
For each link click: the page URL, the link's href and text, a CSS selector path, the device type (desktop/mobile), and whether the visitor was logged in. No personal data, IP addresses, or user fingerprinting.
Does it work with my theme/page builder?
Yes. Linkyy tracks standard HTML <a> links regardless of how they're generated. It works with Elementor, Beaver Builder, Bricks, GeneratePress, Kadence, Astra, and every other theme. The smart selector matching system handles dynamic class names from page builders automatically.
What happens to my data if I deactivate the plugin?
Nothing — your click data stays in the WordPress database. If you reactivate later, it's all still there. Data is only deleted if you explicitly uninstall the plugin or if the retention period setting removes old data.
