Our mission is to provide a space for children and teens to grow and flourish; where they experience their voices being heard & valued and that they can be trusted to be contributing members of their community. By doing so they will have the tools and foundation to become more content, self-motivated and empowered members of society. WCSS adopts a community approach to education, based on valuing students as inherent learners - students are given the freedom to develop and grow in their own direction and at their own speed as part of a wider community. Being a member of a democratic school comes with freedom to choose and the responsibility that this freedom entails. This balance between freedom and responsibility is at the heart of WCSS.
