Legend of the Seeker. I canNOT get this show out of my head. I'm basically ~~wanting~~ hoping to re-icon the entire show. I know, I know. I already made 400+ icons of the show, but YOU GUYS. It's so PRETTY. <3333 And...I just re-enlisted at legendland. What have I gotten myself into? LOL *GIGGLES GIDDILY* YAY, TEAM SEEKER! :D

Speaking of icons, I'm in the process of creating an icon archive (read web site) that is BASICALLY every icon that I have ever made. EVER. And, yes, that includes the crappy ones. They've just been sitting in an indexed folder on my web server for years, collecting dust. I've intended to create this web site for AGES, and I've also been intending to play around with Dreamweaver and use it to design a site from scratch, so, ta-DA! Killing two birds with one stone! WOO! The site is coming right along! It's super simple, very minimal in the way of design, but it works that way. I have FAAAAAR too many icons to go all out and complicated. It would just look gross otherwise. Anyway, I promise to share it when it's finished! :D (And it's already come in handy for uploading new icons - HELLO, all the LotS icons that just appeared in my userpics. lol)

It's off to bed now, so.... *MMMMWAH!*

Basically, my love for the Avengers movie-verse? It has ZERO bounds. ZERO. I'm watching The Avengers YET again, and will probably follow it up with either the Iron Man films or Cap.

Which brings me to the question: WHY DO I NOT OWN ALL OF THESE MOVIES?! UGH. Mandi, stop your dependence on Netflix, already. They might dump these movies on you! Also OMG I AM DYING FOR THE NEW CAP AND THOR MOVIES. AND GOD, IRON MAN 3 NEEDS TO BE OUT ON DVD/BLURAY ALREADY. ~~It sucks not being able to go see a movie in theatres when you're broke and this obsessed!~~

Is there an icontest or lims or something for Avengers!verse?

drabble: New Beginnings

A little drabbly-thing, written for carpenyx at legendland.

New Beginnings

Cara had nearly died of fright when he had appeared out of nowhere, moving around her only horse in silence and sneaking up on her like that while she was drawing the day's water. With a traveling man looking for work, one never could tell their intentions, and the woman within her had shouted for her to send him away. Still...something about him had driven her to take the chance on him, and now she was glad that she had listened to that inner being. Perhaps it was the Creator giving her guidance.

"These are for you..," he'd said as he held out a handful of freshly-picked flowers, a shy grin on his face. "They match your dress."

Lines such as that were never spoken by a traveler...but, sure enough, the flowers had matched, right down to the stitching. He was something else entirely, this one. It wasn't every day that a man such as he would come around, work himself to exhaustion for but a single day's worth of meals, and befriend her children. Perhaps...perhaps she should keep him around, attempt to convince him to stay. He seemed to be a good man, and Cara had long ago given up hope of finding another with the qualities her husband had had. This could be the new beginning she had been praying for all this time.

Cara smiled up at him and nodded. This would be her new beginning; she would make it so.
