In-Between
a single page comic based on the prompt 'Going Places'
The below comic ‘In-Between’ was originally published in Cleveland Scene Magazine’s 2026 comics issue. You can still check it out along with the other creators contributions here.
I was thrilled to be a part of this yearly issue. I love a prompt and had a great time writing about one of my favorite pasttimes- daydreaming on longgg car rides. Thanks again to my friends in Vagabond Comics and the art directors over at SCENE!
I love that SCENE keeps this yearly comic tradition alive. It’s a great way to support our small but mighty comic creator community here in Cleveland. And selfishly, I just love to see comics printed on newsprint. They just hit different than glossy pages!
If you’re looking to branch out and make some new pals in the Cleveland comics community, may I suggest the upcoming zine swap happening at Superscript Comics and Games Sunday March 29th. I’m looking forward to going with a big stack of zines I’ve had laying around and can’t wait to trade.

And for anyone not totally familiar with the zine format, head on over to my gumroad page and check out ‘The Unique, Limitless, and Extraordinary world of ZINES!’ zine I have available for $1 that helps break this simple yet effective thing called a zine down.
Zines are a great place to get ideas started. They’re accessible to all, and can truly be about anything. Also, zines will remain unscathed from AI scraping, algorithms, relentless advertisements, and who knows what else will be thrown at us in the 21st century. Just sayin’.

Take care, stay safe, and happy creating!
