Clusters of crocus, purple and gold. Blankets of pansies, out from the cold!
Bosslady is still out on maternity leave, and Supervisorlady is having a mental health day, so I am continuing to dork around on the internet. And post more pictures!
From the Flower & Garden Show that I attended with mamma and auntie again this year!

I've recently started getting in with Orchids, thanks to my birthday present from my parents after our trip to the Conservatory, and so I took a bunch of photos of various orchid displays.

My favorite displays were tied! The first was an Alice in Wonderland theme (the overarching theme for the show was "Happily Ever After," so there were lots of storybook references).

The Tea Party Table!

Yes, that IS a real White Rabbit next to the Caterpillar!

Other fairytale-inspired ones, starting with A Wind in the Willows

Ikebana (Japanese Floral Arrangement) of Flora, Fauna and Meriwether from Disney's Sleeping Beauty. My favorite of the ikebanas!

And, "there was an old lady who lived in a shoe..." And lemme tell YOU, I totally want a high-heeled shoe set-up in my future yard! Maybe not quite this big - but definitely there.

Another angle of the shoe. Think a pair of shoes can't change your life? Just ask Cinderella!

Other random bits from the show.

Mamma and Auntie

A couple more ikebanas.

This one was "Persepone's Return" - note the "pomegranate" in the bottom, where it looks like the cold, dead, Underworld, and then it grows into Spring up top, with branches beginning to leaf out and purty tulips? Cleverly done! I had to explain it to my mamma and auntie, though, heh.

We always see this vendor, who turns old musical instruments (most brass or woodwinds) into water features. I think it's awesome, and my uncle, who works with instrument repairs, should totally do this, IMO.

What are your plans for the weekend, friendsies?
