DOL tacks on extensions for driver licenses, instruction permits

New extensions are in effect for Washington state driver licenses and instruction permits expiring March 1-April 30, 2020, and Oct. 1-Dec. 31, 2020.

With REAL ID still a year away, you have plenty of time — and options

You won’t need REAL ID-compliant identification until Oct. 1, 2021. Renew your standard license or ID online now and upgrade to an enhanced version later.

Lacey driver licensing office reopens in new location

The Lacey driver licensing office is now at 719 Sleater-Kinney Rd SE, Suite 108. An appointment is required to get in.

Everett, Oak Harbor offices set to reopen by appointment

The Everett driver licensing office will reopen Sept. 14, with Oak Harbor to follow Sept. 15. This brings the total number of reopened offices statewide to 38.
