Library Cards

Current OSU students and employees may borrow materials from the OSU Libraries and libraries worldwide. Your OSU ID card is your library card.

If you are not currently a student or employee see:

Books, Articles, Audiovisual Materials

Your library gives you access to physical and online books, articles, videos, and other resources.

We also have efficient request services that can connect you to information outside of OSU Libraries collections.

Library of Things

Each library location has a collection of laptops, board games, equipment, kits, and more available for checking out.

Loan Periods, Renewals, Returns

Learn how long you can borrow items, whether you can renew them, and how to return them.

Fines, Fees, Appeals

Fines and fees are charged for damaged and lost items.

You may appeal library fines or charges for lost or damaged materials if you believe the charges have been mistakenly assessed or that extenuating circumstances warrant reduction or cancellation. To prevent interest from accruing, appeal library fines or charges within 30 calendar days of the original billing. You will receive a response to any appeal within 1 week.
