More I went into this film pretty much blind, I did kind of know the basic premise but now that I've seen it I can tell you I wasn't expecting it to hit so hard. Fennell's writing is so strong at capturing perception vs reality and I loved that aspect probably more than anything else about this film. December Discord Scavenger Hunt - 12/31 - Watch a movie about children or a child
Paul Greengrass has put aside his shaky cam and allows the viewer to take in the beautiful cinematography of Dariusz Wolski in his latest collaboration with Tom Hanks. Hanks is by far the star of the film but Helena Zengel steals the show whenever she is on screen. The film has a very deliberate pace and even though it moves slowly I was never bored by it. It tells a compelling story and it tells it well.
