Not sure whether it is because of Koji Yakusho’s acting, Wim Wender’s directing or both, but I am totally captivated watching the nothingness of the plot. If they make it a series, I think I can watch all five or seven seasons of this.

I also cannot explain why or how, but I feel content and calm at the end of this amazing film. And I have not felt like this in such a long time.

And lastly, the soundtrack is perfect. Ten out of ten. ❤️

Triangle of Sadness (Clearance Rack Edition)

This play/film is definitely in my personal “Every Brilliant Thing” list.

What a f-ing tough watch! This hits too close to home. I wonder actually how many Chinese daughters at one point of time really urged their mothers to divorce their fathers. I have met at least three already, myself included.

The third act really dragged down the entire film with the weird storyline despite Sylvia Zhang’s presence. Would have given the first two thirds a solid four stars otherwise.
