I loved CAIRO CONSPIRACY and this nail bitingly tense statement on art vs authenticity in the face of extreme dictatorship is powerful stuff. Wholly unpredictable and bleak; it moves like THE DEATH OF STALIN and refuses to let go.  Tarik Saleh can do no wrong.

The Bride!

messy, chaotic and sprawling THE BRIDE! lacks the visual flair of the del toro FRANKENSTEIN but instead is rooted in old hollywood lore and almost feels like a noir. buckley and bale chew scenery like the best of them - and the whole thing is just a bit mad - but at the same time; far too safe to risk. absolutely lost it at the final needle drop.
