Really great use of Josh O’Connor as an actor here.

Period setting is well done and immersive enough that you almost think you’re watching an old film instead of a 2025 release. 

Love how Kelly Reichardt structures the plot and relies on silence as much as dialogue to drive it forward. What’s more, the politics, which simmer in the background, turn out to be much more than just set dressing in the film’s apt and incisive final moments.

Really well executed (in every sense)

Love a great single setting film propelled solely by the momentum of its dialogue. That being said, this is my least favorite type of guy to run into at a bar.

Takes its cues from Pynchon, but still manages to feel very much like a PTA film.
