Shot in glorious technicolor, this is a great looking film despite problems with the available print. Lots of flowing dresses and shadows and a creepy Italian villa. The audio track could use some work as well, I hope they clean this thing up someday. The dream sequence mixing in B&W film…
PYP2025 Day 20 Stay out of the woods
When the guy pulled a G.I.S.M. record off the shelf my jaw hit the floor, and the psychedelic violence hadn't even started yet. Record collector scum face off against a murderous Source Family-type cult, it's like Midsommar meets Gonerfest? No horror movie could be more for me than this is.

PYP2025 Day 29 When You're Strange
Phil Tippett's totally fucked magnum opus. A nightmare journey through a disgusting hellscape, all in stop motion with little dialogue and no exposition from the master of the medium. Both a technical masterpiece taking decades to complete and one of the bleakest films I have ever seen. Kind of amazing but I'm not watching this again.
