Honestly not even that bad for an early 70s Disney-live action movie about a golden egg laying duck. It’s the Citizen Kane of such films.
A couple of favorite lines:
1. “Yes sir, there does seem to be a certain amount of, uhh, duck involvement.”
2. “I am the eggman!”
I’m not unconvinced that this is a lost episode of Mad Men where Betty Draper takes ayahuasca.
Jane Fonda was and remains a true gem.

Without checking what Albert Einstein actually sounded like, I’m confident that this was a terrible impersonation of Albert Einstein.
Visceral.
The apolitical nature worked wholly to its benefit. There was no “I point my finger at your side!” The message of “we all better get better at bipartisanship before our nation explodes like an RPG shooting at The Lincoln Memorial” was much more effective.
The seriousness, depravity, and balls-to-the-wall vicious violence of war is at its height in this film - reminiscent of films like Saving Private Ryan and Full Metal Jacket.
