Packs so much into every frame and incites the viewer to bring as much of themselves to each viewing as it does in telling its story.
Absolute optimal viewing conditions tonight - off a beautifully aged print, in a cinema with an audience who fully appreciates it, with a couple of (very minor) projection flubbs - it became its own entity that was fully contained in the space as a work of art.
Fucking perfect.
