I don’t know what the record is for a film making you ask “What am I doing with my life?”, but it might be this.
In the pantheon of late-80’s low-budget slasher comedies, this one has certainly earned bragging rights. A cavalcade of bizarre human behavior mixed with bemusing situations and a generous helping of gore, this is required viewing for any fans of the genre.
My reaction after my first watch was that it felt more like a series of sketches which didn’t make it into Flying Circus. But if there’s one thing I’ve learned about the Pythons, it’s that there is such a rich density to their humour, you can’t fully appreciate it on an initial viewing.
