• Game of Thrones had a nice ep this week. Although I bet anything would seem nice in comparison to last weeks episode ... I'm relieved we're finally past my least-favorite part of the books series - last weeks wedding - it's all uphill from here in my mind, haha. This episode was a bit less finale-y than the previous finales, in my opinion, but that's probably due to the decision to split book three into two seasons - we're not through with Storm of Swords yet. It's probably difficult to create a finale-y episode using random chapters from the middle of the book. It was nice to get some reunions this episode. Jon seeing his friends again! :D

• I've been catching up on Hawaii 5-0 today. Almost done with the season. I love how great friends the main characters all are to each other. It's sweet! And heartwarming and stuff! Like how Danny missed going to that game to keep Steve company when he had to go to the hospital to get his shoulder relocated back. Also I liked that episode when the camera crew followed the gang around, that was fun. :D

• Dexter 701 HOLY SHIT! THAT WAS AWESOME. Oh, I kept forgetting to breathe. I love this show. Oh Deb, you are amazing. And Dexter, your lies and excuses were reaching Stiles Stilinski levels of bad towards the end there, so it's not surprising Deb figured it out. And oh god she found everything. Next week is going to be intense!! :D \o/

• Doctor Who 705 It was a pretty good episode, but not as good as the cube invasion one. The angels battery farm were horrifying. Poor Rory. D: And I loved that they jumped off the roof, and I loved the rapid mood switch in the last graveyard scene, and I loved the setting of the episode. That being said, it wasn't nearly as sad as it could have been. I feel bad for the Doctor, and I'm going to miss the Ponds, but the episode didn't make me cry at all.

• Fringe 501 Oh Fringe, I love you and everything you choose to be. This whole futuristic post-apocalyptic setting is so awesome, I love it so much! And the save humanity from the observers arc is great! And oh the family reunions and that they've spent all this time apart, it just breaks my heart. Oh, I love this season. ♥ ♥ ♥

• Once Upon A Time 201 I liked the family reunion, and Mulan was pretty cool. Emma and Snow being back in fairytale land is interesting, I'm curious about what will happen next. It wasn't a great season premiere, but it was good enough that I'm excited about the new season. :)

Game of Thrones 209 Blackwater

My favorite episode so far! ♥

This episode was written by GRRM himself. He did an awesome job, the dialog was A+.

Cersei is such a mean drunk. Also, she was hilarious. Drunk!Cersei might be my favorite Cersei. ♥
And Sansa! Sansaaaaa. So fucking awesome this entire episode. GRRM writes an A+ Sansa. I loved all of her veiled little insults. And then she calmed everyone down when Cersei stormed out and panic was setting in.
I just want to quote everything Sansa and Cersei said during this episode, because everything was just so perfect!!
Shae was also great. I love that she has a knife strapped to her leg.

Davos and his son. Awww. I mean I wanted Tyrion's plan to work, but at the same time I don't exactly enjoy watching nice characters get attacked with wildfire. :(
I wonder how the battle would have gone, had Davos not convinced Stannis to leave the red priestess behind at Dragonstone. I wonder if wildfire is covered by her obsession with fire...

The battle scenes were amazing. Both the battle-battle and the wildfire leading up to it. It was all well done, I am impressed.

And hey, non-book readers! Now you finally get that first "teaser" for season two that HBO aired last year. With the green flame? :D

I really enjoyed the Hound telling Joffrey to go fuck himself. And that's coming from someone who dislikes the Hound!
"Fuck the city and fuck the king." LOL. XD

Tyrion leading the men into battle was great. And ALL MY LOVE goes to Podrick, for sticking a pointy object through the man attacking Tyrion. ILU POD. ♥

Cersei, however hilarious she is when she's drunk, was also heartbreaking this episode. Talking about how all the women will surely be raped if the city falls and planning to poison her son rather than let him be executed by Stannis. Heartbreaking stuff. ;__;

"Stags aren't evil, they only eat grass." ILU TOMMEN. By far the cutest of the Lannister children. :D

I love that the Tyrells teamed up with the Lannisters. It's just so perfect. Stannis pissed them off by killing Renly, and they're not gonna let that one slide. And they didn't. And Stannis lost.
That's what you get for killing your own brother, Stannis! Hah!!
...It's possible I'm still upset about Renly's death. Even after all these years. I loved Renly, dammit.

And how awesome is Tywin's theme song? "The Rains of Castamere" a.k.a. "Do NOT fuck with Lannisters".
I mean, I'm not team Lannister or anything, but I've still had this song on repeat for the last hour. Gorgeous.

• I've been catching up on a lot of TV-shows during my spontaneous hiatus. I figured I'd post my comments on them a bit spread out, since it would be too much work to write it all up in one post. /lazy

• Luther series 2

How can Idris Elba be this awesome? Just, how? Is he some kind of wizard, with awesome magical powers that he uses to make characters come to life?
Seriously, he just makes Luther so damn real. It makes this show a true nail-biter, edge of the seat, forget to breathe kind of viewing experience.

The role-playing dice killers were freaky. Really freaky. Luther's final stand against them in the back of that truck were terrifyingly tense. It was one of those forget-to-breathe moments... Have I mentioned that I love this show?

• Sherlock series 2

That was heartbreaking. D:
I mean, it was awesome, too, obviously, but the ending! I knew that there's a third series in the works, so I knew Sherlock must have survived, but it was still heartbreaking. Everyone thinks Sherlock is dead! :(
...I really want to see the next series, like, right now.

I don't think there were any particular weak episode this series, in contrast with the first series. So that was awesome. We might only get three episodes at a time, but at least they were three great episodes. :)

• The Fades series 1

adfsdkgfshkgd THIS SHOW.
I swear, this could be my favorite show ever if Doctor Who didn't exist, that's how much I love it. I think I even like it more than Buffy and The West Wing. So THAT is really saying something.
Of course, it's a bit early to tell yet, I'll have to re-evaluate in five years or so, but right now The Fades has scored the second place on my fave-show-list.
Even if the stupid show did go and kill Jay, in such an utterly shocking manner. I really hope Paul gets the ability to raise the dead at some point, because this series won't be the same without her. :(
Also, I really hope there is a next series. I will cry a lot if there isn't.

Mac/Anna. I ship it, obviously. It is an awesome ship. :D

Neil. Just, Neil. What the hell. >:(
I really hope that someone punches him in the face, next series.

Also I guess Paul kinda might have started the apocalypse, or something? I wasn't really expecting that. Usually, when The Chosen One goes up against the baddies in the final episode, everything tends to work out reasonably well. Not so much in this episode.

Also also, how awesome was that bit with the wings? This show is basically TV's gift to icon makers! :D

Paul's shocked reaction to everything that happened was just perfection. As was Mac's attempts to cheer his BFF up with comments about Anna. And then to end with the sky darkening like that.
Complete TV genius, that was.

I want five seasons and a movie! \o/

• I JUST FINISHED WATCHING THE NEW MERLIN EPISODE. SPOILERS!!!

I had strong, strong suspicions that it would happen, but I still yelled at the screen.
I LOVED HIM, WHY DID HE HAVE TO DIE?? ;__;
I want Merlin to figure out some magic spell to bring him back ASAP. Preferably next episode. This has now taken priority above "magic reveal" on my list of things that needs to happen on this show, THAT'S how much I need him to not be dead anymore.

I love the knights!!! I love their bantering and their knightyness and OMG why haven't they had this much focus in earlier series? THIS IS GREAT. KEEP IT UP. :D

This was a really pretty episode. I like it when they go on quests and we get to see places other than Camelot. :D

• I made The Fades icons earlier today. IT WAS SO MUCH FUN. I knew it would be a great show to icon (on top of it being a genuinely awesome show in every other way), but I'm glad that I was proven to be right. I love the use of negative space in this show, it reminds me of Luther.
I'm still freaking out about the newest episode, btw. I need to watch the next episode ASAP.

Genre: Science fiction, with plenty of comedy and action as well.
Basic plot: Aliens invade a council estate in London. A teenage street gang fight them.

Today I finished watching Supernatural season six. I know, I know, LATEST. But I didn't really like last season and then they got rid of the wonderfully entertaining robo!Sam, so I took a bit of a break from the show.
Taking a break usually helps when I start to get bored with a show. :)

First of all, let me just say this: I LIKED IT. Those were good episodes! I'm somewhat interested in what will happen next season! Yay!

618 Frontierland
Cowboy episode = EXCELLENCE. I like how they combined timey-vimey with cowboys. :D

619 Mommy Dearest
Meh. That's how easily they killed Eve? That's a bit disappointing.
LOVED the whole "Jefferson Starships" thing. That was hilarious, watching them yell "Jefferson Starships!!" whenever those things showed up. XD

I'm not happy that Lisa's memory got wiped. It was too creepy.
And omfg at demon!Lisa being all "Dean you are Ben's father" and then going "no just kidding lol". The writers likes trolling the viewers!

Yay soulless Sam! :D And regular Sam! I love it when there's more than one of any of the characters, that's always fun. :D

Godstiel will be fun to watch next season, I'm guessing. Powerful and not exactly nice - somehow the writers have circled back and we are back to the Castiel we were introduced to at the start of season four! The all-powerful (well so it seemed), scary supernatural being who no one would ever dream of calling "Cas".
That's my favorite flavor of Castiel, so I'm happy with that.
Castiel as big bad next season, I'm guessing? Yay. :D

Neal will call him and Mozzie will be all "I have to save mrs. suit!" and then he can help Peter and Neal kick everybody's asses to get Elizabeth back.
Or alternatively El saves herself, that would be neat.

I thought it was funny at the party when Kenzi were talking and Bo wandered of and were all "Hullo girls!" and Kenzi had to come drag her away. It was a bit amusing that Bo's succubus senses were affecting her that much.

Hale: "Six semi-conscious rednecks and five k in damages to a perfectly unrespectable roadhouse. And the first I hear of you in weeks is a call from your arresting officer. What'd you got to say for yourself, detective?"

Daniel Mays!!!! ♥ He played a concerned father in this episode. That was a bit weird, since my mind kept telling me "OH EM GEE IT'S THE DEVIL! HE WANTS TO DRAG US ALL TO HELL!!" but uhhhm, that's just because of the last role I saw him play (which was on another favorite show of me. He clearly picks good roles to play! :)). Anyway, LOVE HIM. I mean, he creeped me out like no one's business when he played that devil, but he is a talented actor. So that's awesome. :)

Rory had SO MANY GREAT LINES. :D The Doctor too, and Amy, but mostly Rory. Dude cracked me up this week.

Rory: "Maybe it was just junk-mail."
Amy: "What?"
Rory: "The message on the psychic paper. Maybe it was just nothing."

Alex: "He's scared to death of everything!"
Doctor: "Pantophobia."
Alex: "What?"

A Dance With Dragons review (spoilers!!!)

SUPER SUPER SPOILERY REVIEW OF A DANCE WITH DRAGONS. SPOILERS!!!

• I have waited patiently for six years for this book to be released, and I would cheerfully have waited six years more if it had been needed. Because this book was amazing! \o/
I cannot wait to see this adapted to TV! Together with A Feast For Crows this will make for some awesomely The West Wing:y seasons of GoT, except somehow even better. Yay. :D

• Winter is here, at last! I liked how the white raven heralding a change of season showed up in the epilogue of the book. :)
Now they'll have to switch to "summer is coming", or something.

• JON SNOW, NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! D: My bb. My second fave character. WHY GRRM WHY. ;__;
Although, at least he's a warg. So if Ghost is fine (and he should be! One of Jon's friends will release him to the wild. Or maybe that other warg with the boar, he might help out Ghost), Jon Snow's ghost could just live on in Ghost. And then in the next book we would have chapters titled "Ghost" about Ghost and Jon's ghost. Which, like, practically makes it worth it!
Or, you know, Jon could be fin. He only got stabbed, like, a bunch of times. Uhm. Maybe Melisandre can use magic to fix him..? *grasping at straws here, people!*
He's not allowed to disappear from the books completely, though. He's just not.
I'd be cool with him being a wolf. I mean, his brother's a tree now, so why the hell not.
At least dead!Jon would mean the series wouldn't have a clichéd Jon-becomes-the-king-after-it's-revealed-he-was-the-heir-all-along-omg ending. So that's good, I guess...

• lol Bran's a tree. I gasped when he talked to Ned and Ned sort of heard him. I did NOT expect time travel stuff to show up in this book. It was cool to see the first Starks.
I like how Bran showed up in other characters' chapters, despite being beyond the wall. Him talking to Theon and that making Theon a more decent person was really nice. I like the idea of tree!Bran randomly talking to people through the trees in the next book. It sounds kind of fun.

• I'm pissed at the lack of Sansa. She was really interesting in the last book, I really wanted to read more about her. Needs moar Sansa, book! :(

• I wonder who Arya is gonna off next. The bit with the face changing were gross, I thought, otherwise the Arya chapters weren't very exciting.

• Holy shit, I freaked out in Asha's first chapter when we were led to believe she was being raped, and then it turned out she was just roleplaying with her boyfriend. GRRM is such a freaking troll to his readers sometimes, that was just mean. >:(
I'm very happy she didn't get burninated in this book, I was getting increasingly worried about that when reading her chapters.

• Brienne's alive!!!! \o/
Also I thought Jaime was very decent in his chapter. It's nice that he hasn't regressed into old habits. :)

• Selmy is such a kick-ass old guy. Love him. I'm sad they cut the part where he kicks the guards' asses after Joff sends people to arrest him, in season one of the show. That would have been such a fun scene!

• ♥DANY MY QUEEN♥ you're finally back!!! Oh I have missed you the most. <333
I don't really know what to say except "omg Danyyyyyy"....

• Did Tyrion rape that slave girl in the beginning? If so, gross. :(
Other than that, he was an awesome one-liner-spewing smartass, which is always great. I was super shocked at the Aegon reveal. :O HOLY SHIT ANOTHER TARGARYEN. :O
Penny the girl and Pretty the pig. Aww. :( I hope Penny ends up living a nice life, at the series end.

• Jorah can you get any creepier? Hiring prostitutes who look like Dany? Seriously, Dany's like fourteen. It's fucking creepy, dude. ewww.

• Yay more Cersei! I was dying to read more of her after AFFC. I'm curious how the trial will go. Is that zombie knight the Mountain?

• Poor Quentyn. He was just a kid. :(

• Lady Nymeria joining the small council will probably be a lot of fun. XD I look forward to it!

• Holy shiiiiiit, poor Theon! Never did I think I'd write those words. But GRRM actually made me feel sorry for that ass.
And Ramsay might be the most horrible character in the books. Holy shit he is evil!! DDDD:

• I fucking loved it when Jon cut off Janos Slynt's head. THAT WAS EXCELLENT. :DDD

I so, so, sooo want her to find out about Daenerys in a chapter we get to see it in. It will be hilarious! XD
Also she was an interesting POV character. I hope she remains one. :)
I wonder if Jon Snow might be Azor Ahai rather than Dany? Dany fits much better, but Melisandre kept seeing Jon Snow's face whenever she asked the fire to show her the face of Azor Ahai...

• That last scene with Dany and she's barefoot and food poisoned and she has a dragon and then a khal shows up and omg. OMG. Next book, please!

• Bran totally has a crush on Meera, don't he? Awww. ♥

• Coldhands is so Benjen Stark, isn't he? Freaky!

• So the mad king fancied Tywin's wife? And took liberties during the wedding night? Uhm. I know there's a theory that Tyrion isn't Tywin's son (which would still make him half-Lannister, since his supposed parents were cousins (right?)), but... what if CERSEI and JAIME are actually the Mad King's kids?
That would explain the incest...

• Uhmmm I haven't even mentioned all the characters, but since there's to many characters to mention anyway, I think I'm just gonna end it here.

Game of Thrones episode 2 reaction/review!

• THEY CHANGED THE OPENING CREDITS. The bit showing Pentos (where Dany were last episode) now shows the grass lands where she is now. That's really cool! :)

• Ahahahaha Tyrion slapped Joffrey. AMAZING. /watches again and again

• Hooooly - Catelyn wrestled that assassin's knife with her bare hands! Oh my, it looked so incredibly painful! Such a badass moment for her. And then the direwolf puppy to the rescue! \o/

• Robb and Jon hugging each other goodbye was a sweet scene, I really liked that. A sweet scene among all the death and horror, that was nice.

• Jon Snow gave Arya a sword. Fantastic scene. Loved it when her wolf Nymeria tried to help her pack!

• Uuuugh, more rape. I don't want to see any more rape scenes! Stop it!!! /o\

• "The moon is an egg" lololol sure if you say so, but I'm more inclined to believe the "knights slayed them all a long time ago" story that the Dothraki women told.
Oh, and very subtle filming of the dragon eggs in this episode! /sarcasmbtw

• Hehe, I saw Jason Momoa's butt! /immature

• This is the BEST review of the episode. Fact.

• "My princess can drink as much as she want!" Ooooh my god, just shut up.

Thoughts on the pilot, with some comparisons to the book.

• I really need a GoT icon, lol. /note-to-self

• The title-intro-sequence thingy is WONDERFUL and really clever! The books have a map at the beginning of the book, and now the TV show have a map at the beginning as well. Genius! :D

• First of, PETER DINKLAGE YAYYYY! \o/
He's way, way, way too pretty to play Tyrion, but I don't care. The casting people didn't care. The audience doesn't care. No one cares. Peter's just way too awesome for anyone to care that he doesn't look remotely like Tyrion.
Also, it's TV. TV always prettify characters from books, it's like a tradition.

• LENA HEADEY, JASON MOMOA, SEAN BEAN. :D :D :D
Not only are HBO making a TV-show out of books I always thought were unfilmable (in fact, the author wrote them with the intent of making them unfilmable!), but they're also bringing these amazing actors back into my life? YAY.

• Emilia Clarke plays Daenerys, one of my favorite characters from the books (her storyline gets AMAZING). So far she's doing an awesome job! \o/

• The kid actors are doing a great job, too! All of the kid characters were one of the reasons I figured these books would be impossible to ever film, but the casting people did a fantastic job. I'm especially liking Maisie Williams as Arya.

• The Dothraki - WHAT'S WITH THE RACISM, HBO??? >:(
Seriously, I'm pissed off. Just - WHY DO THAT. All through the episode they made changes from the book, in order to fit 70 pages or so (IDK, I didn't count) into one episode, and they cut a lot of stuff from all the scenes. It's just that ... with the Dothraki, they cut all the stuff that's good about them, and kept all the stuff that's not good about them. The result is a one-dimensional clan of savages. WTF. >:(
Why cut the part where the Dothraki people give Dany wedding gifts in the form of pretty clothes and jewelery, and instead have a bunch of close ups of raw meat and a basket of snakes? WTF???
Oh, and WHAT'S WITH THE RAPE. In the book, he backs the fuck off for a while once he's noticed she's crying. If they're gonna skip over the part where Dany calms down and says "yes", why include the part where he even notices her crying? Not that the book isn't rape:y, it's just that this is making the Dothraki arranged marriages seem much worse than the Westeros arranged marriages. So I'm including that on the list of racist changes they made for the show. >:(

• While I'm ranting: WHAT'S WITH ALL THE FEMALE NUDITY??
Either needs more dick or needs less boobs. Right now, it's much too uneven.
It'll probably even out with a couple of more episodes, though, so I'm not exactly angry about it.

• On the upside, at least the scenery and castles and stuff is gorgeous.

• The White Walkers are creeepyyyyy. They're described differently in the book, but here I get why they made the changes. You can't have bad guys that move soundlessly and wear camouflage armor on TV, because then the viewers wouldn't be able to see them and the whole scene would make zero sense, lol. So I'm cool with the changes they made! The Wall looked amazing. I wonder how deserter dude got across The Wall, I can't remember from the book. Maybe he climbed, heh.

• This episode must have been pretty confusing for first time viewers. And it's only gonna get more confusing for a while, before the plot really starts moving in a handful of episodes. I'm worried it's gonna scare of viewers and kill the viewership numbers. :/

• They're like a tenth of the way into the first book. And I remember having trouble getting into this book, I put it down a bunch of times and only kept reading because of the hype. If it's the same on TV, that's definitely gonna lose the show viewers. :(

• Awesome way to end the episode!! Loved the delivery of the "the things I do for love" line. :D
That's always been one of my favorite "omgwtfbbq DID THAT JUST HAPPEN" moments from the books.

• I really wanna see the next episode now. I'M SO EXCITED FOR THIS SHOOOW! \o/

OK I'm gonna go watch Doctor Who now. BRB. \o/
