That was so cute! I really like Echo, and I wouldn't mind a sequel where you meet him as an android. This is a really good game!

I’m glad you enjoyed it! Right now, the plan is to expand Echo’s reactions to the player’s messages, making the consequences more tangible and the replayability more engaging. It’s a bit of a pity that the project was made for a jam, because the original concept was much larger. The idea was that the player would spend a week interacting with and raising Echo, with the outcome shaping not only Echo’s future but also the fate of the world. The setting was envisioned as cyberpunk, with a conflict against the corporation that created Echo.

Is there any way that you could still do the original idea? And maybe allow the player to be friends with Echo?

Unfortunately, not anytime soon. Right now, I'm doing a marathon: making 6 jam games, one game per month. Each one is in a new genre to help me improve my skills. Once I'm done, I'll pick my favorite project and turn it into a full game. So I can't promise anything just yet. But thank you again for your interest in the project. Comments like this really motivate me to keep creating games! :)

Can you please make a downloadable version of the game? It won't run on my browser.

Thanks for your interest in the project! Would you prefer an .exe version for PC, or a mobile build? Right now the VN isn’t really adapted for mobile devices, but I could try to make that happen.

A mobile version if it is possible. I could try to play it on Winlator (an emulator), but I highly doubt it would work. Joiplay, (another emulator), is a hit and miss sometimes with Godot games, so mobile is the best idea.

I built a mobile version in .apk format — it’s available for download on the game’s page. I tested it on my phone, and it works fine. The visual novel is still very small, but I hope you’ll enjoy it.

Thank you! You're the best!

Very nice game! I liked the writing, the ambiance, and the philosophical exploration. I also enjoyed the subtle rain-like effect!

Thanks for the kind words! I would've liked to add more variation instead of simply splitting the dialogue into three small branches in the final third of the game and three different endings. But I decided not to overcomplicate things.
