In partnership with us
Parental engagement in children’s education is one of the most powerful levers we have for tackling educational inequality.
Children who enjoy positive learning experiences at home with their families are more likely to do better at school, build greater confidence and self-esteem, and develop habitual routines of learning.
You can help us to create positive change for children and families, bridge the gap between school and home, and reduce educational inequality. Our work is made possible by the generous commitment and support of our partners.
You can help support this too!
Why we need your support
At Learning with Parents, we believe parents are uniquely placed to help their child learn, because no one knows or loves their child quite like they do. And when families weave learning into ordinary moments at home, they are shaping a child’s future.
Yet these everyday learning moments are at risk. Busy lives, the cost of living, and the pull of devices can make it harder for families to find time to play, read and talk together. In 2020, Learning with Parents was founded to protect these learning moments and help build parents’ confidence as learning partners for their child.
Through our mobile-first platform and hands-on activities, we make it easy for families to learn in the real world. Whether it’s spotting shapes while tidying up or exploring stories piled on the sofa, our activities help children learn through the lens of their own life, with parents right there beside them.
Our programmes span Reading, English and Maths, Money Skills and Ready Teddy. Each one has been carefully designed to turn ordinary home moments into opportunities for talk, play and exploration. Families share their reading with their teacher through voice recordings and photos, practise maths while slicing pizza, or learn about money through real-life decisions like shopping and saving.
Everything is built to be quick, fun and resource-light, ensuring all families can take part and learn together. We work hand-in-hand with schools to bring home and classroom closer together so learning can flow into family life. Our approach lightens teacher workload while giving schools unique insights into how children are learning at home.
As we grow, we continue to learn from the families and teachers who use our platform. Their insights help us refine our programmes, improve access, and shape how the education sector values learning at home. When we support families, we don’t just improve academic outcomes, we strengthen family relationships, boost confidence, and open up more choices and chances for every child.

The impact of your support
How will your support help?
Every pound you give goes directly toward breaking down barriers to learning. As a charity, we keep our costs lean so that the maximum amount of your donation creates real impact for children and families. Your support powers:
Innovative, accessible technology:
We develop and maintain a platform designed to reach all families, removing technological barriers and making learning engagement simple and achievable for everyone.
Direct support for schools and families:
Our School Partnerships team works hands-on with schools, providing resources, termly catch-ups, and bespoke insights that help teachers boost family engagement. Schools gain access to data dashboards that make it easy to track engagement across classes and identify families who need extra support.
Expertly designed, inclusive learning activities:
Our Curriculum Leads create accessible, engaging activities across all our programme areas, ensuring every child can participate and thrive regardless of their starting point or learning needs.
National advocacy for educational equality:
We champion policy changes and raise awareness to ensure every child, regardless of background, has access to quality learning support at home.

Thank you!
“I am incredibly proud of the charity that Learning with Parents has become. Across the last five years we have supported over 40,000 families through our programmes, and have shared our insights to drive systemic change around parental engagement. None of this would be possible without the generous support we have received from our funders and partners. We have been incredibly fortunate to find a group of funders who are so open to us admitting that we don’t have all the answers, and coming on a journey of discovery with us. If our approach resonates with you, we’d welcome the opportunity to work together.”
