Get Teddy ready for school …
Ready Teddy is our school readiness programme that gives schools and parents support in getting children ready to start school.
We have used research, including from Kindred Squared and UNICEF to inform what we do. We have also collected ideas and feedback from teachers and used internal expertise.

What is Ready Teddy?
Teachers can set one activity each week to help parents support their child’s preparation for starting school. Activities can continue to be set throughout the school year and can include topics from the Reception curriculum in our English and Maths programme.
How it works for a parent
Your child will receive a teddy from their new teacher. Then your child’s teacher will set a fun activity to do together with teddy. This could be anything from putting on your coat to washing your hands.
