Update task progress across our project views.

Gantt and sheet views are only available on Team and above, learn more.

Update tasks as you make progress. When tasks become 100% complete, your dashboards and reports are updated in real time.

Tracking Task Percentage Complete

You can choose from the following task progress options on the board, list and calendar:

  • Not Started: 0% complete
  • Started: 25% complete
  • Halfway Done: 50% complete
  • Almost Done: 75% complete
  • Done: 100% complete

If you're updating tasks on the Gantt or sheet, you'll have the option to input any percentage that you choose and won't see these options.

Note: Task progress for summary tasks is calculated based on the progress of individual sub-tasks.

List

Select the task you want to update by clicking in the task row to open the task card. Use the percent complete pull-down to update the progress.

Board

You'll see task progress on each card. Click the card and use the percent complete pull-down to update the progress. Please note that updating the task progress on the board will not automatically move the task to another column.

Tip!: Use workflow automation to enable tasks to move automatically between board columns based on updates to progress.

Calendar

Hover over a task to see the assignee, start date, due date and percent complete. Click the task; use the percent complete pull-down to update the progress.

If you enter a custom percent complete, the software will round that number on the list, board and calendar so status can be displayed. For example, 30% complete will be reflected as Started. You can also drag the progress bar on the chart to update task progress.
