Time Tracking Feature Video Overview

Watch the brief video on time tracking below for an introduction to time-tracking features with ProjectManager.

Timesheets

One of the most popular ways to track time in ProjectManager is with an online timesheet. Users can log hours directly on our Gantt charts, task lists and kanban boards; this data automatically reflects in the timesheet. If needed, users can click on the "Time" tab on the left-hand menu to add tasks manually.

On our timesheets, you can make a copy of the previous week or set a timesheet approver as needed. When the timesheet is ready for review, the approver will receive a notification.

Noteworthy features of our timesheets include:

  • Automate recurring tasks by copying last week's timesheets
  • As teams update their statuses, the task management data automatically reflects on the timesheet
  • Attach documents and images as needed

Real-Time Dashboards

Another way to keep an eye on how your team is managing their time is through our real-time project dashboards. Time is only one of six metrics that are automatically tracked throughout the software. Other metrics include health, tasks, cost, progress and workload.

Within the dashboard, you can hover over the data for additional information on your progress. Click on the small settings icon to make adjustments to this graph so it only shows the data you need. If you're using a portfolio dashboard, this data will be representative of your projects as a whole.

Time Tracking & Reports

We make it easy to generate a timesheets report that's customized to your needs. You can click on the columns that you want to include and select the date ranges for your report. If needed, you can also group by date, person or "none." View it as a PDF, open the report in Excel or download it as a CSV file.
