Project Limits: How They Work

Some accounts have a limit on the number of projects you can create. This page explains how these limits work.

What Limits are Applied to My Account?

Our plans have different project limits:

  • Team = 20 projects
  • Business = 100 projects
  • Enterprise = unlimited projects

Need to increase your project limit? Upgrade your plan today.

What Happens When I Reach My Limit?

When you reach your project limit, you can no longer add new projects. We'll show a message in the app if you try to add more than your limit.

If you want to add more projects you'll need to remove some of your existing projects or upgrade your plan. Use the Account Menu to upgrade your account. If you don't have access to that area, contact your Global Admin.

I'm Told That I've Reached My Limit But I Don't Think I Have

Sometimes it might not seem like you have reached the limit. For example, you've hit your limit of 10 projects but you don't see that many on the Portfolio page.

There could be various reasons for this:

  • Other users on your account have created private projects which are contributing to your total. Only Global Admins can see all projects in your account.
  • When you delete a project once, it receives a "deleted" status but is still available on your account. You need to delete a project twice to permanently remove the project from your account (and your project total). See the Portfolio page for more details on how to permanently delete a project.
