Critical Path: How to Find the Critical Path on the Gantt with a Filter
A critical path is defined as the longest set of linked tasks within a project.
Before you continue with this article, watch our helpful video on planning with the Gantt chart and setting up your critical path below!
See your critical path by clicking the filter button on the Gantt. Here, you can choose how you would like to filter the Gantt. To see your critical path, select the filter from the list and click "save."
Note: Tasks that have not been linked to the critical path but are scheduled to occur later than the critical path end date or earlier than the critical path start date won't appear on the critical path. If you want these tasks to be part of the critical path, please link them to a task within the critical path.
You'll now only see your critical path on the right-hand side of the screen. If a filter is turned on, you will see a green filter icon with a dot on the far right of the top menu bar so you know it is turned on. Clicking that icon will turn off any set Gantt filters.
