Inclusion by design

Creating digital products that welcome everyone

Inclusive by design means thinking beyond the “average user”. It is about recognising that people use your digital products in different ways, on different devices, in different environments and circumstances. Instead of designing for a narrow group and adapting later, we design for diversity from the very start.

Inclusive design and accessibility go hand in hand, but they are not the same. Accessibility (A11Y) focuses on removing barriers and supporting diverse needs. Inclusive design looks at the whole picture: abilities, language, trust, culture, confidence, context, and even emotional state. It is a mindset that helps you reach more people and deliver better experiences for everyone.

Why inclusive design matters

Designing inclusively means designing responsibly from the start. It opens your product to more users, strengthens trust, and prevents costly fixes later. When people feel empowered, they engage more and stay longer.

A few examples: someone using your app with one hand on a busy train, a parent juggling tasks, a newcomer reading in a second language, or a user with low digital confidence. Inclusive design makes sure they can all succeed.  It is not only good practice. It is good business.

Accessibility

Accessibility ensures that every person can use your digital product with ease, regardless of ability, device or context. It focuses on removing barriers that prevent people from perceiving, understanding or interacting with your content. When accessibility is embedded early, it strengthens the experience for everyone.

Our approach

We integrate inclusive design into every stage of your digital projects.

  • Research with real people: We observe and talk to users with diverse backgrounds, abilities and contexts. Their needs shape the direction.
  • Hands-on practices: We translate insights into practical guidelines for design, content and development, so your teams can work inclusively with confidence.
  • Designing for flexibility: We create interfaces and flows that work across devices, languages, interaction styles and digital skill levels.
  • Compliant foundation: We ensure your products meet WCAG and EAA requirements, so inclusivity is built on a solid, compliant foundation.
  • Testing and improving: We validate with a range of users and refine continuously, inclusion is not a one time effort.
