To My Scaly Acquaintance,
We were racing along Highway 50.
Me in my nondescript black Hyundai Santa Fe, you in your teal Jeep; fishy figurines sprinkled along your dashboard, a tire cover announcing Mermaid Soul in curvy delight across a scaled print. We wove in and out of the fast lane. Not aggressively. More like a shared rhythm, a brief road-dance with the other nondescript cars around us.
