[ Hope has been running around the Northeastern Quarter, with his boomerang securely attached to the bag, looking for possible victims of the fire. Even as he holds the PCD with one hand, he can be seen casting Water spells using the other. And for once, they don't just look like cheap magic tricks, forming actual, massive tides that effectively calm the flames down. At least for a while.

Although the boy seems a bit out of breath, the spark in his eyes reveals that in fact, he's got much more energy than it would appear at first glance. His voice sounds a bit unsure at the beginning, but he tries to gather up as much confidence as he can. Even if it's difficult, considering the circumstances. ]

If... if anyone nearby requires medical assistance, don't hesitate to call me, and I'll do e-everything in my might to help. Same thing goes for people who have lost their homes and need directions. [ A pause. ] I've attached my coordinates to the message.

[x,y]

[It's late afternoon. Hope is standing outside, evidently enjoying winter scenery despite the weather being pretty violent today. Even a newly-acquired scarf wrapped tightly around his neck and a pair of warm gloves don't seem to be able to protect him from snow, as he's entirely covered in it, and the cold air has already managed to paint his entire face pink. For a moment, he can be seen staring at the dark sky, and eventually, the boy turns his face to the PCD, smiling brightly.]

… The last few days were really great. I… well, thanks, guys. For everything.

[ooc: offlines are okay if you want to bother him, since he's going to stay there for a while.]

[Someone is being particularly lazy today.

Hope lies sprawled on the bed in his room, surrounded by complete mess, a sight not very common in his case. There's a couple of books, mostly biology-related, plus some papers and writing tools scattered on the floor.

For a while, he just stares at the ceiling, but as he rolls over to grab one of the pens and a notebook, his seemingly blank expression is replaced by a thoughtful look. He starts scribbling - or writing something, mumbling inaudible words now and then. When he's finally finished writing his thoughts down, his gaze falls upon the PCD. There's one nervous blink and his face turns a bright shade of red.

With one decisive move, he turns off the feed.]

[When the feed clicks on, Hope can be seen struggling desperately with something which turns out to be... his own room's door.]

Seriously, I thought you gave up already --ugh! [There's a loud thud as an unidentified object slams against the door from the other side. And then again. And again. The fourth time it happens, it almost causes Hope to lose his balance. Hissing, he quickly steps backward and sends a Blizzard spell towards the lock, effectively freezing it. ]

And... and that's all? [Exhausted, he leans against the wall, sighing deeply and wiping the drops of sweat off his forehead. This is when he notices that the PCD, which he must've accidentally dropped on the floor earlier, has been, in fact, recording the whole scene.] ...not you, too.

[Hope places the device in his hands and when his face comes into focus, it turns out it's covered in tiny scratches that he hasn't managed to take care of yet.]

I've heard about traps, but this one is beyond me. When I tried to leave my room this morning, my boomerang suddenly... uh, jumped out of the closet and well... started attacking me for absolutely no reason. I barely managed to get out, and now... now it won't let me go back inside! [He runs his hand through his hair, irritated.] I've tried everything, I think, but... this thing's too fast. Um... is there anyone with a similar problem?

[Private to Unohana]

I apologize it took me so long, but... I -- I figured that now would be a good time to meet, since it might get busy pretty soon, with all those nasty traps and people getting hurt. When should I come to the clinic?
[The scene takes place in the little garden in the back of Willow -- and now, also Hope's house. Hope can be seen curled up, droplets of rain falling down on him, but the boy does not seem to be bothered by that in the slightest.]

Mom… I miss you. I -- I miss you s-so much, I can't… [His voice breaks into sobs, and when he lifts his face, it's clear that it's not the first time he's crying today.] I s-shouldn't have looked, but… just for a second… I wanted -- I… I thought…

[The boy tries to calm down, wiping the tears with the back of his hand, but they keep on flowing down his cheeks.] I know you will… never come back… I know. But... --

[His voice grows desperate as he covers his face with his hands.] -- the others… I saw them just a f-few days ago, they can't be-- !
I've heard this device likes to play tricks and post on its own, right? So… well… while I still have control of mine, I wanted to thank everyone who helped me back when I was lost -- I guess I still am, a bit, but… thank you.

And, uh, I… know some magic, so if I could be of any use, please tell me. I suppose I just need some kind of a distraction.

[Unfortunately for Hope, the PCD isn't really willing to cooperate, and the recording switches to the video mode as he hits the 'stop' button and places the device next to him. The boy can be seen sitting on a bed, clutching onto his left wrist, the front of which, if one looks closer, appearing to be covered in a strange tattoo… of sort. It's entirely white and consists of multiple arrows coming out of its centre. ]

But I... can't forget.
