Section 326A of IPC provides punishment for acid attack is minimum 10 years to life imprisonment along with a fine to cover the victim’s treatment, while Section 326B (attempt to throw acid) provides 5 to 7 years imprisonment with fine. It is a heinous and non-bailable crime.
