Are prenuptial agreements valid in India?

Generally, no prenuptial agreements are not legally enforceable in india. Under Indian civil laws (except in Goa), marriage is viewed as a sacrament or a duty, not a commercial contract. Therefore, prenuptial agreements dividing assets before marriage are not legally binding in Indian courts.
